University of Phoenix-Online Campus Top Questions

Since I have not officially started, I cannot answer what is the worst thing about University of Phoenix.

The worst thing about my school would be the process to get started. There are so many forms you have to fill out it gets very stressfull. There is so much information you have to give them before beginning and so many deadlines you have to make. I had filled out all my forms but we had to wait for my fafsa and other forms to be transferred to my school. Since we had to wait I missed the deadline to start school when I wanted to and now have to wait over a month to start.

The price. It is expensive and I had to take out student loans for the first time. It's a little nerve-wracking, but I feel it will be worth it in the long run.

The worst thing about my school is the maniditory use of learning teams. I understand that they use them in order to prepare you for the business world. I do not like working in teams. I am an independent learner and prefer to learn on my own time. The learning teams forces you to complete assignments based on all teammates schedules. This can be a hassle if you work in a team with conflicting schedules.

This is a private university which acts more like a business than an educational institute.

Some people seem to not work as hard as others, and should not earn an online degree. Phoenix is making improvements in this area. It creates an unfair work load for those that make a true effort in classes.

I would not say its the worst thing about the University of Phoenix, but just online schools in general. I think the worst thing about online schools is you do not get the face to face interaction and do not get to be involved in sports.

The worst thing about my school is that the professors assign team assignments and sometimes you get assigned to a team with students who do not want to contribute to the project, but expect a good grade. This is probably the case at any school, but this is the worst thing I can think of about my current school.

It's harder to get one on one help in person.

The worst thing about my school is the amount of money we pay per class. I pay over 1800.00 for just one class. It also seems that each year the tutition goes up, but the corse material stayes the same. This is my biggest complaint reguarding my experience with the University of Phoenix online.

Lack of response in learning teams in some classes.

I would have to say that the worst thing about University of Phoenix are the learning teams. You are graded based on your peers work within a team and if you get a bad team then your personal grade will suffer. You pay a lot for this school and your grades should be based soley on your own work in my opinion.

I honestly dont consider anything at my school to be the worst, everything is just the way I would want it.

The worst thing I have found about my school so far is that it is more expensive than other Universities. Believe it or not, that is the ONLY negative thing about my school.

The school is too expensive and their FA advisors not are qualified.

I do miss traditional classes, but I am a single father raising two kids on my own, so online classes are the way I have to go to finish up me degree.

Expect to work nonstop. There is no break in between but you do earn your degree quicker.

For me the only thing that I would consider a problem is that there is not a campus closer to where I am. Otherwise, I wouldn't have anything negative to say about it.

The lack of hands on training or participation is the worst part about the University of Phoenix online campus. The reason this is the worst is because it handicaps the students who will be entering a career and need to have in-person experience and hands on knowledge.

The worst thing about my school was the learning team groups. Students were assigned learning groups for each course. The students were expected to work with his or her group until the finish of the course. The down fall about this technique is that some students failed at completing his or her half of the assignment, which in tun made the other group member responsible for their portion of the assignment. Ground rules were always set out before the group member worked together, but some team members still didn't pull his or her weight when completing assignment due dates.
