The campus is small and inviting. Every person I've met here, student or staff are all friendly and helpful. We enjoy hanging out, worshiping, and learning together. The resident advisors are knowledgeable and do not hesitate to help you. They even helped me carry my stuff in on move in day. The campus is organized and clearly laid out. The tunnels that connect all the residence and classroom halls come in handy during inclement weather. You could wear shorts year-round if you wanted. The only downside is my dorm is outdated but they are in the process of building two new residence halls.

I think overall it is a very good college to go to. The only real problem I am having with this school is the pricing. I have been here for over a year at this point and plan to go back again for my sophmore year. Looking into this next year I am ready to go though.

A great school for student athletes who want to get a good education. It has a great amount of minorities and different cultures, and has really been a great learning experience for me. The school also has great clubs and an amazing campus ministry that I am a part of.

Shelby - 04/08/2021

I have a deep love for the University as far as the classroom and my eagerness to start the nursing program. I feel like I am getting a good education, but the sports could use improvement in coaching and facilities. The price of the education is reasonable but the cost to live on campus is over the top for the quality of housing on campus.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would recommend to myself, getting scholarships filled out ASAP. Also I would say to myself that I need to take the ACT and SAT and study as much as possible, so I can and get the best scores on them. By not doing my very best in high school, especially my senior year, I will suffer in the future and I will to not go to the college of my chose or get the scholarships I want. I will regret not doing best when I could. The final thing I would say to myself is if I feel I can?t do it by myself, I need to get help. Even if I feel it would make you look bad, my future is very important and there are people more than willing to help me out. Knowing what I know now, that?s what I wish someone would have said to me.

The University of Saint Mary is unique compared to other school I know of because of the class sizes and student to teacher ratio. Here I feel like the students have a better oppourtunity to be successful because of the amount of attention we get from th staff. The teachers really go out of there way to make sure we as students really understand and comprehend what is trying to be taught in class. The students really get along here and everybody knows everybody, so that is also something thats unique here at the Universty of Saint Mary.
