I love weatherford College! I always feel safe the college police are amazing and care about their job. Class sizes are never to big usually 25-40 people. I have only had one professors I didn't care about because she didn't seem to care about her job and us. The prices are fair and WAYYYY better than a 4 year college.
Natalie
My opinion of Weatherford College is nothing but positive. So far, I have only taken my basics, English, History, Speech, Psychology, Algebra, PreCal, and Stats, but nonetheless, the professors are amazing to work with and have done nothing but everything they have been able to do to help me be successful. The resources are plentiful and available to all students and as dual credit student I can say these resources are available to dual credit students as well. For anyone just starting college, looking for a dual credit campus, or looking to get their degree, Weatherford College is the perfect place for anyone.

It’s a great 2-year college. It’s the perfect size so you will actually get the chance to know your professors on a personal level. I have loved every instructor I’ve had so far, especially the nursing professors! The school offers so many different clubs and organizations to join. No one would ever feel left out. I would 100% recommend Weatherford College to everyone looking for a great college with a personal touch!

Its a great school to start at! Conveniently located and affordable. The professors are there for the students and prove their dedication. Thd school is a good size, but not big enough to feel like just a number. I knew all of my professors on a first level basis and they became a friend to me. The agricultural professors I knew from the horse world not even regarding school which makes me even closer with them.

The classes are perfect to me, I like have the classes small so it’s more of a one on one class. All your classes are in a couple minute walk so you don’t have to hike across the campus for one class. The teachers are great and help you if you don’t understand the subject.
Kayla
It is not a large campus so everything is generally easy to find. There are regular softball, baseball, and football games. The surrounding area serves to meet any needs. Professors are easy to email and most respond quickly- I have only had a single teacher who did not reply to his email at all.
Rebecca
The class sizes are a perfect student-to-teacher ratio. Your voice gets heard and there's time to answer any and all inquires. The teachers have big hearts for their students and for their jobs. They become a part of your college family. The office staff, dean of students, student center, group leaders, etc. are extremely helpful and understanding as well. They go out of their way to help you succeed, no matter your situation, as long as you try. There are a ton of opportunities to become involved in the school, as well as the community. The student groups and organizations there are vast. You could definitely find one for your interests. The campus-both Granbury and Weatherford-are beautiful and they keep them well stocked and clean. There is always a place to study, whether you want some peace and quiet, or a group setting. There is also an immense amount of resources available. I was a little weary about going to a community college at first, but once I found Weatherford College, I was so glad I had taken that chance. When it came time for graduation, I was incredibly sad to leave.
Overall, this is an extremely great college and I'm happy I had the chance to meet the staff, faculty, and students that I did.
I highly recommend it to everyone! I would give it ten stars if I could!
Emily
Weatherford College is a great place to start out and transition from the high school routine. The class sizes are small, so teachers and students become familiar with each other and you are not just another face in the crowd. I would highly recommend starting your college career at Weatherford College. I am glad I did.

I do not actually live on campus, but I do go to one of the Weatherford facilities. Even though we are far away, we are still connected to what the other classes are doing and are never far behind. One of my favorite things about the campus is the size of the classes, I prefer small classes so i can have a teacher- student relationship to better understand the material.

weatherford college is a very good community college with a bunch of things to do. the teachers are very acomadting, there's always food on campus if you cant go out. there is a police station on campus, as well as a bunch of staff to help you out. the food is not terrible.
MICHAEL
Weatherford College is a pretty average college I think, smaller class sizes, good and involved professors, good staff, smaller campus but it feels safe and is well kept. Not too much available as far as campus life goes, there is a small rec room, a small campus bookstore, and that is about it besides a cafeteria and weight room.
Madalyn
The campus is lovely, the professors are all very kind and encouraging. The faculty and staff are all knowledgeable and ready to help when needed. The communication is amiable as there are always notifications for when an event is happening or for weather alerts on campus.
Hailey
I love Weatherford College! It's a great place to knock out your basics before transferring to a University. They are set up in such a way that you won't fail because there are so many resources right at your fingertips, not to mention the fact that the professors here are so helpful! It's small enough that it gives you the attention and help you need to succeed while it's big enough to make it interesting.

Weatherford College is a great school academic and sports wise. There are so many things that are available to you on campus. The professors on campus do their very best to help you succeed in the class room as well as in life. You will have a great experience here if you attend this school.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would advise myself to study harder for the Economics and Government AP Exams so as to get those hours as well. I would also have advised myself to go to Weatherford College first instead of Tarrant County College so that I would be farther along in my Equestrian studies rather than just starting them a year and a half after graduating from high school. I would also advise myself to have studied harder for my SAT's because at some colleges you can get scholerships based on your SAT scores if they are high enough.
I have no problem with any of the people at my school. You get to know every one and you get really close to them no matter what the racial type is. Most kids wear running shorts and a t-shirt to school. We like to be comfortable while we sit in the classes.
I believe the best thing about my school is the class sizes. The classes are small in size which I really like. The most people I have had in a class is 30. I have had classes where by the end of the semester there are just 8 people. The teachers in the smaller classes are really helpfull. They are very aproachable and challenge each one of us to strive to reach our full potential.
Weatherford is really known academically. The professors here are really hands on and close with the students. I have had a lot of help throughout my experience here. The professors have good office hours and are always available for you. They will email and communicate with you very easily. But you do have to think about that they do have families and other things outside of classses but will get back with you as soon as they can. THey are very helpful in the classroom. They are pretty known for baseball and softball in the sports areas though.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
From the research that I have done on their college compared to others they have an Equine Production and Management Associates that rivals the four year Equine Science programs offered by some colleges when it comes to offering equine specific classes.
My favorite class would have to be science. My least favorite class would have to be english. At weatherford our biggest class is 25 people. The students at weatherford are some competitive and some not. A lot of them just wanna get a study group together and all make a good grade on everything. I am in pre med right now and getting my basics done at a smaller college. Then I will transfer to a bigger school and get my doctorate in cardiology. I have always wanted to be a doctor all my life and now I am trying to achieve my goal. No I do not spend time with my college professors, but my motor is a teacher and the school i went to and i just call my old teachers if i need any help with home work or even if I just need to talk to them and get some things off my mind. My old science and math teacher told me when I graduated high school to keep them in touch with me and tell them how I'm doing.
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
Most of the students that go to school at weatherford wise co. are basically "home bodies" we still live with our parents. But some of us have our reasonings of that. For instance, I live with my mother while I can to save up money for all my college years to come med school is a pretty penny, and coming from a single parent who is a teacher is not going to pay for my school so I am doing everything I can to get money just to pay for school.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
Well if your not rich you get criticized. What I mean by that is like, not wearing named brand clothing, dirty clothes, look all out of place and different. Like I said above I believe in treating everyone equal. It's just most of the people up here are very rude.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustraiting thing about my school is the lack of technical classes. I am a Civil Engineering major and alot of the classes I need for my major are not offered. The classes that I do need are only offered once a year with just one class being offered. They often meet at the same time as another one of my required courses is offered. My school is not very helpfull for people who chose to major in Engineering of any kind.
