Woodland Community College

Woodland community collage has lots of food opportunities for students often having student food banks on campus the class sizes are great like 30 students per class and very focused low interruptions many programs are offered to help students and are very supportive I love the community

It's a decent school. The thing that makes me frustrated is that I feel like the classes and resources are not accessible to night students who work full time. You may need 1 more class to graduate but it will only be offered once a semester from 9am to 11am. Its not accessible for everyone. In order to obtain a Psyc. degree (which is a very common and basic degree) I have had to go to surrounding colleges and transfer those classes back to Woodland Community College in order to just meet my gen ed requirements.

I like WCC because you actually go to study. There are no parties going on, most of the students are there because they want to have a better life. Teachers are well prepared and accessible through office hours or email. The staff, like at Financial Aid or Admissions and Records are always willing to help, nice and smiley. The cons are that we don't have a lot of groups to join, we are not that political active and we don't own a cafeteria. But, other that than I do recommend WCC as a school to transfer to a university.

It is a great starting point for higher learning. There is a great variety of courses to fulfill transfer requirements. Classes are small enough to be able to get questions answered. Professors make themselves completely available to the students.

To me, Woodland Community College is a nice school overall. However, outside of class there is very little to do unless one is involved with a campus group such as TRIO programs or MESA. There are campus clubs yet they are lacking in substance at times. The majority of the time, the Professors are available to the students. However, this is only true for certain Professors. Although certain Professors have office hours, others are waiting to have offices. It should be duly noted that WCC is a commuter school so there is very little interaction between students outside of class. When interaction does occur, it can be somewhat cliquey. The food consists of a window only open during particular hours or one can use vending machines. Course selection is very limited and can be very frustrating due to the lack of choices present. However, the staff is fairly friendly and students, when they are very responsible, are given the respect they need to succeed. As a transfer institution, students are well-rounded.

It is a small college, but it feels safe. The parking is pretty comfortable because it has a huge lot of it, and the classrooms are small, but also neat. Their programs provided you good services, and their counselors gave you a really good service too. I definitely recommend joining their programs, especially if you're a first generation student. The only thing that concern is that they don't provide computer programming classes yet, since it was a pretty new and small school. This school was made within a decade ago. The teacher here at Woodland Community College are mostly good and they care about your grades. They also give advice, especially in English. They will guide you to success. Their tutoring services is free, and they are very caring and helpful. Overall, it is a pretty good school, I recommend it because the environment is good and the teachers will guide you to success.

The college needs a lot of improvements. We need a cafeteria, coffee shop, more student programs, better professors. The school also needs more classes. There are some good professors and counselors that are helpful. Over the campus needs to be improved in all aspects. They don't even have an ID card maker or library cards.

what i enjoy from Woodland community college is that the staff is really nice and helpfull. The teachers usuallu have office hours ehere you could go and talk tothem about any thing but some professors do not have an office so for them we use Canvas to communicate or the student email. Its a small campus so you see everyone once or twice a day . There is not many clubs but there are acaddemic programs such as Trio Eop and more also ambassadors have events once in a while and its very fun

Having attended this college for a few years now, even since high school I feel my opinion is valid. Though there is not a lot of college culture, there is a great deal of pride students and faculty have for this campus. There is also not a lot of campus resources, but students make due with what they have. Professors and counselors make time for their students to help solve academical and personal problems. My overall opinion of this campus may be low, but I know with a few improvements on the campus behalf, my opinion would improve.

Woodland Community College is nice and small, but the standards aren't great for all the classes. My first English teacher made her coursework graded on her personal opinions, even though that wasn't a part of the syllabus. We have no rec center, and our library is small. The administration is slightly ignorant, as they advertise Che Guevara as a hero instead of the bigoted murderer he was.
