What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I had known that the techonolgy side of the school wasn't up to par, I was disappointed to find out that my professors weren't always as up to date with what was new in my field, that or I found that they had the knowledge but didn't have the funding to bring that material into our class.

Describe your favorite campus traditions.
My school is best known for it's animal science program. The campus is home to a variety of farm animals, all of which the students are allowed to take part in the care of. Students who may not have been able to experience a rural lifestyle, now are able to see a glimpse of it upon the campus. Anyone is allowed to visit the barns and gain a new appreciation of the workload seen on a typical day at a farm and to come in contact with the animals that play a substantial role in feeding our country.

What is your overall opinion of this school?
Personally, i like the school because it is a small school and there is more focus on the students because it is so small. There are always activities around campus that one could go to, to get away from the books. I dont like the town the school is located in though. It is a really small town where the only real entertainment is walmart :/ some of the people in the town are also really rude and racist. I dont like that the campus does not accept greeks because of a past occurance. There are many diverse majors avalible like Early child (my major), culinary, agriculture, animal science, Plant science. etc There is a farm in the campus with real (smelly) animals. There are greenhouses and two daycares. So it is really diverse.

What are the most popular student activities/groups?
I dont really know much about the actual clubs. But the campus has many activities through the council of student activities. They plan and host all of the big events like trips, movie nights, parties, comedians, guest speakers. etc So that's really cool. But other than that people just entertain themselves with their group of friends

When you step off campus what do you see?
When you step off the campus, there isnt much of a sight. There's mainly land and houses and apartments. There are a couple of small businesses around campus but other than that its pretty dead. You have to go all the way to main street to get some "entertainment" and even there its not much but a movie theater, art studio, small cafe

What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
Well my school is very diverse. There are Agricultural students which are called "Aggies" and then there are white people, black people and hispanics. The Stereotype about the "aggies" is that they chew tobacco and smell like animal feces. There are various stereotypes about the white students, that they are party animals and crazy. The Black people are loud ghetto people and the Hispanics are gossipy.
These stereotypes are definitely not true.

Tell us about the sports scene on campus.
To be quite honest the only sport that is really advertised on campus is basketball. The basketball games are always a fun event to attend where they have lots of snacks and giveaways. I know we also have softball, volleyball, track, bowling and maybe some other sports that i might not know of. But we don't have football and a lot of students are upset about that, But its a small school so we cant have everything. Track is also a popular sport around campus.
