Grove City College is very attractive to me for several reasons, including the culture and academic options in my intended major. One of the first things that attracted me to GCC is the christian community. One thing that is very important to me is going to college in a Christian community. Also a number of my family members and teachers at my school are alumni of GCC. I am interested in becoming a teacher, and GCC's education department stands out to me for several reasons. First of all, I really like that Grove City has a preschool on campus. That is a very unique aspect of GCC's education department. Also, at GCC, field experience is a very big part of the path to graduating and becoming a teacher. I spoke with a student at Grove City who was doing her student teaching this spring and she said that the field experience is what helped her most to be ready for her student teaching experience. Because of that testimony, GCC stands out to me as a place I would like study to grow in my faith and become a teacher to influence many generations to come.

Grove City College is a private, conservative, Christian college that places value in the student's faith and career. The professors are personable with their students, helping them grow and find success in their careers through honest work. The campus is beautiful, the students are friendly, and there are many ways one can get involved through sports, clubs, and activities. In addition to activity involvement, there are many areas on campus where a student can find employment. All of these opportunities come at a relatively low price for a private college, because the college has made such an impact on their alumni that they receive millions of donations annually.
For all of these reasons and more, Grove City College feels like a second home. It has been a loving, caring, and exciting environment every visit I have made and I cannot wait to be a part of the community these next four years.

Grove City College is an amazing college mostly because of the community on campus and academics. The community at Grove is very inviting and friendly which makes the college experience even better. Academics are also an important aspect at Grove because students take learning very seriously.

I loved my visit to Grove city. Everyone was friendly and helpful, including all of the students and staff. The campus itself is a little bit of a maze the first time you go there, but there are plenty of people who can direct you to where you want to go. The admissions counselors are extremely friendly and consider all concerns and questions you may have. I completed an interview with the admissions counselor while I was there and it went so smoothly. There was no pressure to try and answer the questions a specific way, you simply needed to be yourself. Before we began the interview she asked if she could pray with me beforehand. That was the moment that solidified my opinion of Grove City. I loved the campus, the people and the overall atmosphere!

Where Grove City College thrives is in its community, especially in the individual academic departments. As an English Major, I experienced a community that truly became my family, and that will stay with me forever - as will the friends I made there. My classes were challenging and edifying and helped me grow as a person, and the relationships I created there were academically involved and emotionally invested.

This is a terrible institution. Many professors have only Theology degrees, no real-world experience, very narrow worldviews, and no teaching experience. The students are almost universally home-schooled or from small religious schools, they are openly hostile toward anyone unlike themselves (Catholics, racial minorities, LGBTQ+, Democrats, etc.), and they are comically sheltered. You will never be "Christian enough" or "conservative enough." Your professors will lecture against feminism, Catholicism, liberalism, and homosexuality. GCC graduates enter the work force never having met a black, gay, or Jewish person, and it shows in the way they view the world and treat others. I am a hiring manager at a Fortune 500 company, and would never hire a graduate of Grove City.

Grove City College is a great place to develop lifelong relationships and gain a great education! Coaches, advisors, and professors are all great at working with their students to pursue excellence. The Christian community also provides a great atmosphere for personal reflection and growth. I am so glad I chose to attend Grove City College!

Grove City College is not my favorite school and I would not be the first to recommend it. It is a small conservative Christian school where everyone knows everyone. It is not the best school for an outsider, especially one from a minority race. It is very cliquish and not very friendly towards people who are not like them. I believe the "conservatism" of GCC is more of what makes their "family" cohesive, rather than genuine Christian love and friendship.

Grove City College is a small private school located in the suburbs of Pennsylvania. The college creates its unique safe environment by being situated near the small town of Grove City. One must simply walk over a rainbow bridge to reach the town where the street is lined with homie and artistic shops and diners. Within the college, students have many opportunities to join different clubs and organizations ranging from Greek life to dance groups to sports. The campus offers many ways to help students find their niche. Students feel the freedom to study and work together while enjoying their time. There are many comfortable lounges available for use and people often form their own clubs and meetings. Within the classroom, students are given a rigorous academic program with professors that take the time to get to know them. Only on this campus, students and professors grow long lasting friendships. Professors are very approachable both in the classroom and in office hours. Overall this campus is very safe and encourages students to work hard and enjoy their time. It offers many ways for each student to find what they are looking for.

Grove City College is an overall great college with a fantastic community and top-notch academics. The classes are challenging, but most of the professors are interesting and easy to talk to. There is plenty to do on campus, and I rarely find myself bored. The campus is beautiful and very easy to navigate. The dorms are pretty standard. Nothing about them sticks out, but they serve their purpose. I would say the food is generally mediocre, but that is the worst thing I can say about the school as a whole. The time I have spent at Grove City College has been the craziest, most challenging, most exciting, and best months of my life.

It has provided an environment that encourages students to flourish academically, spiritually, and socially. It also offers stellar assistance at a rate that is hard to beat for a private Christian college. It provides resources and opportunities that allow its students to prosper outside of campus walls and better establish them in the world post graduation.

My opinion of Grove City College is as follows: The campus is filled with the kind of atmosphere that many people would desire for their children. It contains loving friends, who will support them as they walk this new journey. There are a number of activities accessible to them, to suit almost any personality type. And above all else, the professors are incredible. They are top of the line and present the material in such a way that is both educational and informative. This is one hundred percent the kind of college you would want your son or daughter to attend. The campus isn't perfect, but I will always recommend Grove City College as an institute of learning.

Grove City College was the perfect choice for me to continue my studies. While it is a small campus home to a little over 2,000 students, I find that it creates a very close-knit community and creates many more opportunities to seek help from professors. The housing for girls is very clean and spacious, and the bathrooms are cleaned weekly and there are always plenty of showers accessible to the girls living on the halls. The food could use some variety at times, but I would say that it is generally good. The dining staff accommodates to all food allergies and needs. All campus facilities are clean and air conditioned, many buildings which were recently built in the last decade. The campus offers a multitude of extracurricular activities including varsity spots, IM sports, clubs, committees, arts, and Greek life. Grove City College is located in a small town, where everything is in walking distance. However, if you want to take a trip to the Grove City Outlets for more shopping and dining options, it is only a five minute drive up the road. The academics at Grove City are demanding, but the professors are more than willing to help and after all, you are dropping thousands of dollars into college just to get a mediocre education, Grove City College ensures that you get the best education your money can buy.

GCC is a fantastic school with lots of opportunities allowing students to grow in their academic prowess and in their faith as well. Academics are rigorous and really teach students how to responsibly manage their time and stress while gaining tons of knowledge on various topics. I've found numerous interesting conversations and lessons in and out of the classroom and will remember them even after I graduate. Sports (varsity and intramural) are also very big on campus and allow for a number of phenomenal experiences as well. Although there are a few problems here and there when it comes to housing arrangements and food, they're very minor in the grand scheme of things.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Grove City College is 82%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
there is no guarantee you will find out what you want in your life within the next 4 years, if you don't that doesn't mean you got an F in life paths 101. here's some advice
1. try several different careers on for size, start early!
take as many different interships and elective classes as you can, anything that you might be interested in try it. no matter what mom and dad say or how unrealistic it is, when it comes down to it, the year after graduation mom and dad will not be driving in the car with you every morning on the way to the job that's "just a perfect fit for you" that you absolutely hate or just simply doesn't fulfill you. you are the only one you have to answer to at the end of the day.
2. choose something that will be able to support your after you're done. if you want to major in basket weaving, minor in entrepreneurship so you can set the prices of your own baskets, that way you can have that cruise to italy and send your kids to school in the same lifetime.
Students who have come to college to grow in their knowledge and understanding of the world and their specific role in it as Christians called to serve in individual careers in the world.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I had known how focused some students are on campus about finding their future "mate." The idea of a "ring by spring" is truer than I had realized.
Someone that is a dedicated and hard-working student that is willing to work hard and study long hours in order to succeed. However, one must be open and outgoing because everyone is very helpful and friendly. People attending this school should not be afraid to profess thier love of their religion or any of their other beliefs for other students at this school will not judge them. Overall, as long as someone is willing to put in hard work for good grades, this is the school for them.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frusturating thing about Grove City College is the academic aspect. I am not considered to be a student that is blessed academically. Ihave my areas which I am smart and areas which im not so smart. I do not like how strong the emphasis is on academics, even though it can be good for some of the students. The students are pushed very hard to get the highest grades possible, which entails for the student to do work constantly.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
Grove City College is more like a community than any other school I've ever visited. It is a place that is filled with awesome students, all of whom seem to be incredible people, that learn culturally, socially, and spiritually relevant subjects in classrooms from teachers who genuinely care about each of their students' progress and immediate future. I looked at many other colleges and universities, but this school was the only one that felt like a home.
The ability for me to learn about the Christian perspective of certain issues as well as the secular ones. I like this because it helps me to better develop my intellect.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
a person looking for an event to go to or something to do on or off campus every evening should look else where. this is an academics focused institution and not alot goes on. the nearest small city is 30 minutes away, there is never anything going on in town so if you want to do anything off campus you MUST have a car. NOT a party school by any means
One of the key things that GCC is known for is the rigorous academics, and trust me they are rigorous. I am a Communications major and thus my work load is less than say a mechanical engineering major but it still keeps me busy. however whatever your major is it is always manageable and for the most part your professor is more than willing to help. The Academics also go beyond the class room for both students and professors alike. in my experience, my professors have always kept their office hours and have gone out of their way to discuss how the student is doing in some cases even treating the students to a cup of coffee. Students as well often discuss the topics that they discussed in class with each other in their free time.
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
Being a "Grover" is stereotypically synonymous with being very smart, and sometimes that leads to the assumption that everyone is a brainiac: all work and no play. That could not be farther from the truth. being held to such an academically high standard does mean that school work takes a priority, but it definitely does not mean we have no time for enjoyment and social interaction. Grovers find a great balance between scholarly pursuits and extracurricular activities. In fact Grove City has an excellent and thriving intramural program as well as numerous clubs and organizations that students can join, from fencing to swing dancing.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
77% of students attending Grove City College receive some sort of financial aid.
N/A were awarded federal grants.N/Areceived federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
