Campbell University was my home away from home. There are plenty of things to get involved with and the students and staff are friendly and welcoming. The campus is beautiful and a great place to relax when you need a break from your studies. There is no doubt that you will have a wonderful experience, whether you are visiting or attending classes! My one pro tip is to get involved within the community.

Campbell University is very nice when working towards academics, and the student to professor ratio is very good, making it easy to talk with your professors and grow connections towards them. Outside of academics, there isn't much to do around campus, as it is rural, but that is beneficial for those who like a small town feel. The weather is nice for most of the year, and there are plenty of majors to choose from.

I think it is a great school, with a lot of opportunities to learn and meet new people. The classes are relatively small which makes it easier to have one-on-one time with professors. The campus is beautiful and there is always something going on that you can be a part of.

Campbell is a beautiful and wonderful school for many reasons. The dorm rooms are a pretty good size, and I always feel at home talking to people there. Campbell is like a safe place for me, or a home away from home. It makes me feel like everything I do, no matter what will be accepted or if I make a mistake it will be forgiven. I’m never scared I talk to others because it’s like we’re one big family. People are always willing to help each other and that’s what I truly love about Campbell.

Overall, Campbell University is a school I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a home away from home. Campbell is safe and encourages creativity and uniqueness. Professors are approachable, friendly, and some have a sense of humor. Students at Campbell are a family, meaning everyone knows everybody and no one feels alone. Campbell University is an exceptional school.

I absolutely Campbell University. I graduated from a private school, which has a lot less students in the classroom than public school. Campbell’s classrooms are an excellent size for me; and they help me feel more comfortable. The students are driven and passionate about their education; the dorms are exceptionally sanitary; and the extracurricular activities help build character development.

It is a unique school. I felt at home the moment I stepped foot on campus. It is a cozy campus with the perfect class sizes that make (particularly in my major) the experience personal. The professors actually get to know your name, compared to a big school. Everyone is very friendly and I feel comfortable talking to almost anyone. However, there isn't much diversity which is disappointing because I find a sense of self in community. Overall I really like the school and I am proud to be a Camel.

I think its a fantastic school that will provide great learning opportunities for many students. They have a great campus and the teachers + students are willing to help out if it is needed. People often contribute and show great teamwork skills towards others.

Overall, I have loved my time at Campbell and I look forward to the time I have left. The Campus, professors, and other students are amazing and I have made so many friendships that will last a lifetime. I know without a doubt, the skills that I am learning will prepare me for the professional atmosphere after graduation. The atmosphere around campus is not that of your stereotypical college campus. The best way to describe it is a very good atmosphere for learning and preparing students for a future past college.

Good experience. Gave me a safe place for me to express my conservative views without much challenge from others. Spent most of my time wishing I went to Duke, but you can still be a fan at Campbell.
Grace - 11/27/2019
Campbell University is great school for individuals who want a more personal relationship with the faculty and staff. The classroom size is perfect for those who do not like lectures holding 100+ students. The campus is safe with campus security driving around campus 24/7. Everyone at Campbell University are genuinely there to support and aid you in your college experience. The only flaw is that there are not many places to go/hang out on the weekends, due to being in a rural location.

In truth I take the online course, and not the campus courses. I do not get much experience with the campus. What I have got experience with has come across very active and inspiring to do better as a person and a student. The staff comes across as professional, and quality. Always on top of issues when I do need to contact the school directly.
Bradyn - 09/23/2019
Campbell is an amazing school. I plan to attend in the fall of next year. I believe it is an overall impressive school. I have recieved a presidential scholarship and I am very excited for my upcoming attendance. There is also a great sports program.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself to learn how to actually study. College is way different than high school in which you actually need to study and understand the material to do well in classes. A lot of classes you take in college require you to take a second course which means you need to remember the material you learned in the first course.
Take the AP tests and do well on them so you go into college with credits and don't have to take certain classes, which will also save yourself some money and time. College is a lot about managing your time wisely so it's important to start practicing how to do this. Time needs to be split up between going to classes, studying for those classes, doing homework or extra credit, extra-curricular activities and hanging out with friends.
Get in the habit of not procrastinating! When you get assignments, start on them early because chances are, more assignments will pile in and you'll be stressed out trying to get them all done and they won't be of high quality work since you rushed through it.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The segregation of the males and females. The school was stuck in the old days, and made you feel like you were not allowed to socialize with the opposite sex.
Anyone can attend this school, as long as they are focused and can work hard on their studies. Those who don't plan on studying probably should not consider this school. This school is perfect for those who prefer a small campus with smaller classes.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I brag about how much the administration and higher ups care about the students. They are so nice and just want the best thing for us students whether it is with money or what classes to take. They want us to succeed and will do anything to help us to make that happen.
Your professors usually know you by name by the end of the semester. The cool thing is, most of them make an attempt to remember it even after you take their class. This is especially true after you declare a major and begin to take classes with the same professors- they really get to know you.
As far as intellectual conversations outside of class- that just depends on you. We students are pretty smart, I think...
Im in the religion department, personally. There are really only a handful of professors in the undergrad department so they tend to know most of the religion major and minor's names. When you see them outside of class they tend to not just say "hey" but rather ask you how you are doing and attempt to have a real conversation with you.
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
There is a club for just about everything (keeping in mind that it is a Christian college and some clubs would not be allowed.)
There is no Greek life on campus, but oddly- that makes for a much better college experience (well, I personally think).
Campbell is just right as far as size... its got enough students where you dont feel like its high school all over again but it is small enough where the professors know your name and you tend to know a lot of people on campus (though there are too many to know everyone- but hey if someone wants a challenge...)
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
There really isn't a stereotype for Campbell. Everyone is just themselves you have the athlete that is also the nerd. Everyone gets along with everyone, everyone is family!
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
