Citadel Military College of South Carolina

The Citadel is a school to help better someone by breaking them down yet building them up at the same time. There are people who want to be leaders but fail at becoming what their potential holds for them. There are many cons about this school, however, there are some things that make this school interesting and give you a reason to stay, if you find that reason.

As a veteran student I love it. We are well treated except for the hard core alumni that think we should not be there unless we go through the cadet program. They fail to see the significant growth we account for within the school and veterans by far have actually served their country vice the roughly half of cadets who never will yet pretend they do while acknowledging thanks for their service from moronic civilians who do not understand the system.

I loved the institution. The only thing I did't love about the institution was the food. Really needs some work, otherwise don't include the fees for food in the tuition. Great place to go to college, amazing location in Charleston, SC. It is a great place to go if you need discipline, to learn more about belonging to something larger than yourself, and developing yourself into someone you're proud to be.

The Citadel, while at times will seem tough and stressful is a very good educational and life experience building opportunity. This college shows and teaches you how to manage time wisely, handle stressful environments and appreciate the small moments

I love it. This institution is for the strong willed leaders of our country. over the four years students are either molded into leaders or pushed out of the program by their decisions. Graduates of this college are highly regarded in all aspects of life.

Overall, this college is not for the faint of heart. You need to be mentally and physically strong to survive your knob year as this is a military college and is treated as such. From my understanding, this college is fantastic regardless and you will not regret going if your aim is to better yourself. This is a very unique college and cannot be compared to other colleges besides VMI, Norwich, and the service academies. The structures are pretty old and you will spend most of your college life on campus if you are entering as a member of the Corp of Cadets. If you are a day student then you will still receive an amazing education here as the professors are superb. You will have access to many of Charlestons shops and service around the school as well. Another plus is the beautiful grounds to admire. Just remember, this school is called hell for a reason if you are planning on the Corp of Cadets. It will still produce the best version of you and prepare you for work after graduation. You will also pretty much be guaranteed a job by graduating here.

The environment is strict and the students are a well representation of success. Personally, the food could be better, but it is college and for a typical college it is bearable. There is a chickfila and and it is in the hear of Charleston; one oft he greatest cites in the world.

The Citadel is an overall successfull school that promotes the fundamental standards for making excellent followers/leaders. There is both on hand and off hand learning in the class room to get experince in the students fields of knowledge. The campus is orderly clean and disrespect is not a concern to students at all. The citadel is a carrer making school that guarantees a job after college.

It is an amazing school and after a Pre-Knob Visit, I know I am ready for the college life at the Citadel.

The Citadel is a great place to learn and develop as an individual and as a leader. Over the past few months I have learned how to manage my time, which helps when you have a multitude of tasks to accomplish in a minimal amount of time. I would recommend this college to everyone.

The professors are very intelligent and have high expectations, which prepares students to give their best effort and succeed highly. The rate of graduates obtaining a job upon graduation is very high. I feel confident that I will succeed in my chosen career upon graduation.

The Citadel is an institution of higher learning to mold our minds, morals, and bodies so that we may be t of cers and better civilians of our country. More than that, however, it is a fortress of duty, a sentinel of responsibility, a bastion of antiquity, a towering bulwark of rigid discipline, instilling within us high ideals, honor, uprightness, loyalty, patriotism, obedience, initiative, leadership, professional knowledge, and pride in achievement.

The Citadel is a institution of higher learning and opens the doors for young people to be introduced into a mental and physical challenging environment. The class sizes a small which allows students to get more out of the lecture and be able to know the teacher on a one on one basis. The campus facilities and the staff are very considerate and are always willing to help with anything the cadets need. The Citadel is one of the best colleges full of tradition, and challenges which will always keep the cadets thinking about their futures.

This is a four year leadership laboratory with a faculty and staff that make sure things are running the way they're supposed to. The cadets on this campus are highly disciplined and adhere to a strict honor code. The school's core values of Honor, Duty, and Respect are drilled into the cadets' heads from their first day on campus and they practice it every day for the rest of their lives. The food isn't the best in the world but accommodations for religious or dietary reasons are made. The school genuinely cares about its cadets and strives to provide a hospitable living environment. It is a relatively safe campus, with guards posted at the entrances to campus and barracks' from early in the morning until late at night, and a 24-hour police presence. Cadets are also taught to report any suspicious activity, behavior, or persons, and any abuse or crimes known being committed. The campus is awe inspiring, with large white stone edifices, and uniformed cadets moving about all day.

It surely isn't the best place to be at, but the resources and community help take the edge off. The weekends in Charleston are highly anticipated because most people can't leave during the week. If you want freedom in the least bit, go somewhere else.
