In my opinion Cochise County Community College District is a great school. This is my first semester in college and I am currently attending online school like many others due to Covid19. Though, I've had a really good experience. Teachers are really nice and accessible. Many people would always tell me how teachers in college would not care but they have actually helped me a lot and really show me they do care. They are really making this first semester as easy as it can be. The few times I've attended campus I felt really safe it just feels like a very good environment full of good vibes and also very clean.

Cochise College is a really great place for focused and affordable learning. The teachers are happy to be there and always willing to help. The campus is constantly adding new facilities and upgrading the old ones. There is a wide variety of students of all ages that are eager to learn and share their expirence, which is easy to achieve with the small class sizes. The annual Pit Fire Festival that is held in the fall is a big and anticipated community event that involves the culinary campus as well as the arts with wonderful displays of creativity for the whole family. I would recommend this college to anyone who is getting started in continuing their education or for anyone who wants to feed their curiosity and try new things.

I love that Cochise College partners with local high schools. Because they do, high school students, like me, are able to complete certain classes, and even obtain certifications so that we have a head start on our academic and career success. The college does a great job of encouraging academic success. I am grateful for the people who have helped me get where I'm going. Thanks Cochise College!

I have genuinely enjoyed my time attending Cochise College over the past few years. Cochise's class sizes are fairly small, the largest class size I've had was about 16 people; which makes for an immersive learning experience. I also enjoy how the college faculty are always available to answer any questions and are eager to help you down the right path. The instructors are just as devoted and a majority of them encourage after class assistance via email, office hours, and the educational labs(tutors) offered by the school. Cochise is extremely cost-effective and the majority of credits earn there can be easily transferred to any of the main Arizona institutions (UofA, ASU, NAU, Grand Canyon University,etc.).

Cochise College is a very great college, I was very skeptical at first about coming her but it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The people and the advisors here are actually trying to help you and find the best possible way for you to save money and pass your classes. The college also helps prepare you for University and have universities come down all the time or we take students to different universities. My favorite part of this College is the teachers, of course there are some bad ones but the ones I have met are amazing and I've never liked school more than I do now.

The Cochise district is great and has been good to me and helped me in any way they could. While enrolling for the semester my advisor sat down with me and discussed every little detail of my schedule. When issues came up she helped resolve them immediately. Overall I would recommend this college to incoming Freshman like myself.

Cochise College is a nice community college that has amazing professors that are willing to help the students learn. They have amazing faculty that can assist in anything that the students need help with within or even outside of school. Although it is missing a few components to make the campus life more active and keeping the students interested it is an amazing college for a student to get there degree at. The tuition is affordable and the campus is always well kept. I will never regret going to this campus.

If your coming to Cochise, whether it's the douglas or the sierra vista campus; you will get more than your money's worth. The campuses are beautiful, lush and still accentuate the dessert flair, the professors are engaging and excited to teach, and the class sizes vary from perfectly cozy to big enough that you won't always be called on, even on campus activites are year round. That being said....it's still in a small town that has a huge drug problem, and has absolutely nothing to do for college-aged or even high school aged people. No clubs, few cafes, and almost nothing else. I'd say good college, bad college town.

As a new student at Cochise College, in Sierra Vista, Arizona I have felt welcomed by their staff. I will be starting my classes in the Fall of 2019 and I’m looking forward to it thus far. The experience I’ve had on campus has been delightful. The advising department has done its absolute best with guiding me through the process of registration, financial aid, and choosing classes to fit my degree plan. I am able to call my career advisor directly and within two rings on the line, he answers. He does his best at walking me through everything over the phone and if it cannot be accomplished then, he is eager to make an appointment.
The lady I have encountered in the financial aid department has been extremely resourceful. After I filled out my FAFSA I went to the campus to see what else was needed to complete the process. She not only gave me the additional papers needed, but she guided me in filling them out. I had my hands full with my two bustling daughters while filling out the papers and she waited patiently for me to finish. I was mildly overwhelmed during this process, and she made me feel at ease.
As if the college staff was not already remarkably welcome, the campus itself is charming. Outside of the student union building (where all my business, thus far has been held), there are stone tables and benches that sit at the edge of a lush green, grassy field. Oversized trees canopy over the tables to give them a much-needed break from the Arizona sun. This is where I chose to sit for a few minutes before leaving because it brings such peace, and is a constant reminder as to why this twenty-seven-year-old, mother of two is beginning her college career.

It's a small college, but there's lots of activities and clubs. It's affordable and the quality of education is good. There are several sports teams and plenty of support for them. The dorms on the Douglas campus are bigger and nicer than most of the ones at universities. Overall I would recommend it.

In my opinion, I think that it is a very good district, I started to study here in Cochise County and I am so happy and I am not thinking to move to another county, here I think that is a very safe and the people is really good and helpful.

Cochise County Community College District is overall a well organized school district. There are very well informed staff who are more than willing to lend a helping hand. There is a great teacher-to-student ratio and myself along with fellow students are able to get help from teachers, tutors, or classmates. The environment itself, is very calm and relaxed, which calms the nerves of upcoming tests and exams, which I have found very useful. Even though the college itself is somewhat isolated from the town community, once on campus, I do not feel isolated at all because of the many peers and teachers there. Cochise county Community College District is an excellent, comfortable, and outstanding district that I would very much recommend for incoming students who or looking for not only a great higher education, but also great friends and even better mentors.

Cochise County Community college is a school I would never hesitate to tell people about. My school is affordable saving all students thousands of dollars. The campus is rather small, meaning everyone knows each other. The sporting events are heavily supported and very entertaining to go to! There are many extracurricular activities that have inspired so many students. The campus is very safe with security roaming around every day, the students themselves watch out for each other. As cliche, as it might sound the on-campus living students, are like family, always looking out for each other.

Cochise College is a great way to start off college because of be smaller class sizes, which allows you to learn more. The faculties are extremely friendly and the students are friendly as well. There are a lot of family friendly events to participate in and learn more about culture, art, and many other topics. In addition, the Math and Writing Lab is extremely helpful. They have helped me do exceptionally well on all of my homework.

I thoroughly enjoy this school because of the class size and how the teachers care about the students and will work with us as much as possible. The campus is also very beautiful and the campus involves the students as much as possible. There are different activities every week either during the morning or the everting.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Advice was something I had never recieved in high school concerning my future. I had never obtained that sense of security and confidence I needed to completely understand my position in college. If I were to give myself advice in high school, I would definitely reiterate the importance of self confidence and the insignificance of peers. There will be the many people in college classes that will talk down upon you and belittle your opinions in a debate. They will also make you feel small but you musn't let them get to you. The importance of your own self confidence and knowledge certainly comes into play in college. You must not be derailled by your fellow students and stand strong with what knowledge you obtained. This advice is what I longed to hear when I was in high school, and I would give this advice to anyone who is making their transition into college.
Anyone really! Cochise College was an awsome experience. The school is located between rural areas and I believe they have the very best instructors. Since it is a community college, the teacher to student ratio allowing the student to get the upmost learning experinence with daily insturcto/student contact. They have so many resources and opporutnites to offer students joining and transfering their school. Not to mention, Cochise is located outside of the city limits giving evryone a beautiful site all around. It was a pleasurable and wonderful experience.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
Sometimes when a student has financial help, some organizations do not want to help. However, school is very expensive, and all the help you can get is very useful.
Classmates are sightly older than the normal age at regular college universities. There is a wealth of knowledge to learn from them, but it is difficult to grasp the "ideal" college life.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I truly wish I had known more about the financial aid options for this particular school. After the first year, I discovered a scholarship database full of scholarships awarded specifically to students of that school alone. After applying, I was awarded multiple scholarships each year until my graduation. Many students were unaware of this option and as a result, missed out on many opportunities. My advice to future students is do your research! Find out about all the scholarships your school offers and take advantage of that aid.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
The type of person who should not attend any of the Cochise College schools would be a person with big city expectations. If this person has "wanderlust", then the quite homelike ambiance of this location will make the college experience terrible.
Being between rural areas therer is not much to do. Cochise does a great job offering an awsome "campus life" to the students. Wheater we were watching our fellow students and faculty being hypnotized or enjoying obstacle course/sports inflatables. There are also out of school functions to near by historical areas that is very educational. Also, the resources Cochise has with other schools allows for students in the rural areas to expand and go far beyond. For some students that may be intimidated to attend a 4 year institution, Cochise prepares them and develops a plan for success!
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I say that Cochise College is the most friendly environment, and every student is willing to help others out. All the teachers are very knowlegable and have the ability to provide accurate information to the students. It is a safe and comfortable environment, and all diversities interact with each other.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
