Overall it's a great school for first-time students who just want to get some credits in before transferring. Many people I know including myself have transferred only because we needed to find a different school to better fit out major, but if I could, I would still attend this school. The professors and faculty and staff are just amazing and always want to see you thrive. Even the groups and organizations are always friendly and dedicated to make you feel comfortable and excited.

It’s a really good school for being in the medical fields, they’re very welcoming at the campus. But I don’t think they have that much clubs or organizations for students to join. It’s really quiet at the college campus in Blanding, Utah.

I am enjoying my time here at USUE. I wish there were more activities and opportunities available, but with this being a small campus I understand why there aren't. I like the class sizes and the professors seem to care about the students more than what you would see at a large university.

I really like it. It is accessible to those who have reasons to stay in the town. It is also an affordable option for those who don't have a lot of money. At my site they don't have any sports offered but they do offer clubs so if you're looking for college sports it isn't the college for you. The staff is very friendly and tries to help you with whatever. Most of the professors will work with you if you have an unexpected activity come up.
Bryanna
It is not a bad school to start off with.

The teachers are nice, feels very close knit, the coaches are crazy here, they bring you down, and push you too much. The trainers and assistant coaches are incredibly nice. Some professors are known to pick favorites and give an outrageous amount of work. I personally wouldn't return to this school.
lane
its great but many students are not here for the same reasons some of us are here for.

I have enjoyed my experience at USU Eastern. It has been a cool school to attend. I enjoy the class sizes, because it allows for students to stay connected to the lesson and actually learn new things. The school tries to keep everyone involved, although it can be hard for those living off campus. I am one of those students. I have heard that living on campus can be an amazing experience. The size of this college is comfortable and great for those who are used to a small school. This is a great college that is affordable and allows for great experiences.

I really love Utah State University-College of Eastern Utah. I spend good time here and the staff member, the teacher the chancellor are all wonderful. I am an international student from France and my English is not that good but here they make everything easier for me to be able to study and understand how things work.

The college Utah State University Eastern is absolutely outstanding. The campus is large and the number of attending students is high. Majority of the students that attend are rather successful and do well. The cosmetology program is rated as one of the very best that there is.

It's a great school. I would highly recommend going to Utah State University-College of Eastern Utah because it gives you all the options that larger schools do but with a much smaller campus. The athletics are good and many people live for game day.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I had the option of going back in time to talk to myself as a high school senior, there would be a substantial amount of information concerning college I would advise myself on: starting at a smaller college, tuition costs, jobs, scholarships, class sizes, professors, and class work/lectures.
First, tuition costs are extremely expensive. Starting a college experience at a smaller college to afford tuition without thousands of dollars in student loans is a mature, and very advised action. An individual can receive all the education they need to obtain their general classes. Attending school full-time and working is tough, and it is possible, but not the most exciting college experience. The social aspect of college is also important. When applying for schools, starting with a smaller college makes you elegible for more schoarships from the school because more are available-makes life easier! Smaller schools equal smaller class sizes, personable professors, and lectures that are easier to understand and follow along with.
Starting a first-time college experience at a two-year, or small college, is a smart move. With all the aspects that come with a small college, the good outweighs the bad.
I think the best thing about my school would be the faculty. All of the teachers I've had the pleasure of meeting are way fun and very helpful. If i had any questions about anything there was always a time I could get the help I needed. They are also a very nice group of people with smiles and greetings to help you get through the bad days, no matter whats on your mind.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The number one bragging right I have to hold against anyone attending another college or university is the tution differences. At the College of Eastern Utah, I pay half, sometimes less than half, of what other students pay at a larger college or university. Being a college student is tough enough when just school work is concerned-why not relieve yourself from some of that stress and not worry about tuition costs. Whether a scholarship is involved or not, tuition costs are reasonable and obtainable.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
Advisors are great once you know what you want to do, but when your trying to decide, I've found the best way is to take as many interesting classes you can find
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
In Highschool my counslers did not help me out very much with college so I had to learn on my own. I have learned that I need to check out other colleges before desiding on the cheapest one. I have learned if i spend my money on college i might as well save up and go to higher up colleges or universities.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I would've known how important it was to take college credit classes in high school, so that once you got to college, you could focus more on the kind of subjects that pertain to your major or minor. Or just classes that intrest you. I also wish I would've known to take scholarship applications a lot more seriously.
