The college I would like to review is Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. It is on the campus of Utah State University. It’s located in Logan, Utah, which is my hometown. I have already visited various activities on the amazing campus and inside of the business school. The events that I have attended on campus are the sports events. They have a powerful student section called the ‘Hurd’. The group of students shakes the entire stadium to another level. It’s a sensation that happens every single game. 3,500 students that specifically go to Huntsman. 168 academic staff members are there to aid in their success. Even though there were not that many students, they still gave out 11.7 million dollars worth of scholarships. Students explain how one of their favorites is to achieve a scholarship to let them leave the country to aid in companies. It’s all paid for if they were to win the scholarship. Another thing that they are helped in is their very own business. Huntsman also makes it available to offer students a class where they need to start their own business, and it needs to be successful. They have one of the best entrepreneurship minors, which I am extremely interested in. Entrepreneurship Innovation is number one in the country to be more specific. I have also looked into the small restaurants that students often use within the building. I overall have loved researching this school, since I will most likely attend here soon.

There are a lot of good aspects of the University, the culture he is nice and people are always will to help when anything happens. The professors are very understanding and they want to help there students succeeded most of the time. I find a lot of people care more about their academics then other things. There is always school events going on and they are usually quite fun.

I think that it is a great school to go to especially for agricultural, engineering, and nursing degrees. There is a great culture all around the school. The pricing is pretty good there. Professors are very helpful as well. Another plus is all of the scholarships that they offer to students.

The school is really good, living at the housing on campus was a really nice experience, it is easier to get to the university also the people is around you is nice, I live sharing housing with 5 roomies, and we had a lot of fun and we never had a bad fight

I hold Utah State in a very high regard because of the energy and location. I have never taken a class at Utah State but I have visited and I love it.
The energy that Utah State has is unifying. When I visited Utah State everyone was so kind and the energy was so, for lack of a better term, hype! I hope that I will someday go to Utah State.
The second and possibly most favorite thing about Utah State was the location. The mountains and surrounding area were beautiful. The mountains were tall and majestic and the school was awesome.

What do you look for in a college? If you said the that you are looking for the best experience you could ever imagine, then you are talking about Utah State University. At USU everyone thrives to have the best time all the way from sport games, to in the classroom. Everyone at USU is friends it truly is the best experience a college could offer.

I am a freshman at Utah State University this year. I picked Utah State as my college because when I came on a campus tour I fell in love with the campus, the atmosphere, the people, and the city of Logan in general. It didn't hurt that every person I talked to that went to Utah State loved their time there and only had good things to say about it. Now that I am on campus, I am loving it more than I ever thought I would. I am living in on campus housing which is so much fun having that community to be apart of and all the activities that are involved with housing. Utah State has so many opportunities for everyone no matter what you are interested in. If you are into sports, the Hurd (student section) shows up to every sports game bringing a great energy and atmosphere to the games. If you aren't on one of the schools sports teams but you still want to participate there are club and intermural level opportunities to play. If you re into fitness, there is an amazing work out facility called the ARC where you can play games of pick up basketball or volleyball, rock climb, play pickleball, workout on a track or treadmill, lift weights and more. If you want to be part of a club there is probably one for you! The first week of school there was day on the quad where all the clubs came out and you could learn about them and join them if you wanted! There were clubs for reading, to politics, to degree specific clubs. I also love the class and education experience I am having. The professors love their job and the content they are teaching. They show up for the students both in class, over email and through office hours. Utah State University has an amazing atmosphere and comradery. There is always something to do on campus to get involved, meet new people, and try new things. I am loving my time at Utah State University and I would 100% recommend Utah State to anyone looking at which college to attend. "Show me a true blooded Aggie from Utah, where the sage brush grows!!"

At Utah State University, a rich experience of cultural exposure and academic excellence is available. Through the university, students are provided with excellent facilities and recreational opportunities as well as competitive college sports teams to cheer on during athletic events filled with enthusiastic student involvement. As a student, I have greatly appreciated the research exposure through grant applications and professor-guided research labs. I have been given phenomenal support in my academic pursuits--particularly as I prepare for graduate school. The housing both on and around the school are well-priced and filled with social engagement opportunities, which I have loved participating in. Overall, my experience at Utah State University has been one of fun-filled weekends at the social events the university hosts followed by enriching academic learning through invested professors in small, interactive classes.

Utah State is the best AG college in the state of Utah. Utah State also has a really good athletics program and the best fans in the nation! Utah State also has a lot of extracurricular activities outside of the classrooms and does something different and awesome every week! Really good programs and rec center you can go in and workout and do activities.

As solid as you can expect a college and its campus to be. Nothing is perfect but there are obvious signs that they're doing the best they can to make it a solid and excellent experience.
I mean college is what you put into it. There are tons of resources and things to do. So its really up to you how great of an experience it is.
Giovana - 05/29/2024
Personally, I like the school, it is in a good location, and the professors offer resources to help you succeed. By "good location" I mean mountains surround the school, so there are a lot of hiking locations, and it's not heavy on traffic. The school offers a lot of activities during the school year, and also ways to maintain fitness if a student wants to.
Crystal - 04/29/2024
I really like it here, there is a big sense of community. The campus is great, but the on-campus dorms could improve. The beds lack in everything except for cement. A lot of my professors are chill though, and many of the students are friendly. The only thing that needs to happen is more parties.
Talon - 04/29/2024
I love Utah State University. Logan, Utah is a phenomenal place which includes a variety of different activities outside of school. Overall the school is amazing, and the academic success of students is very high. I love how easy it is to become involved in clubs or activities around campus. Some of the clubs that I attend include sports clubs our intramural where we play ultimate frisbee, basketball, and football. I also joined a academic club where we create study groups and study together. The involvement at Utah State University is amazing, and I really enjoy attending this school.
Mark - 02/08/2024
Utah State is an amazing place where you can meet a lot of great people. So far I have gone through a few classes and the students, staff, and teachers are amazing. The sports are intense but fun to watch, I go to all the basketball games. I couldn't think of any other place I would want to go to college!

Picture this: a campus nestled in the heart of picturesque Logan, Utah, surrounded by majestic mountains and the kind of scenery that Instagram dreams are made of. That's Utah State University for you – a haven of safety and serenity where you can focus on chasing your dreams without constantly looking over your shoulder.
Now, let's talk sports. Whether you bleed Aggie blue or discover your love for the game, Utah State's sports scene is electrifying. From the thunderous roar of the crowd at Maverik Stadium during football season to the nail-biting excitement of basketball games at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, being an Aggie means being part of a spirited community that rallies behind its teams like no other.
But hey, it's not all about touchdowns and three-pointers – Utah State's academics are a slam dunk, too, especially if you're into business. The Huntsman School of Business is like a powerhouse of innovation and entrepreneurship, where students are groomed to become the next big business moguls. With top-notch faculty, cutting-edge research opportunities, and a curriculum that's as challenging as it is rewarding, the Huntsman School sets you up for success in the fast-paced world of commerce.
But what truly sets Utah State apart is its sense of community. Here, you're not just a student but part of the Aggie family. Whether you're bonding over late-night study sessions in the library or cheering on your fellow Aggies at a home game, an undeniable sense of camaraderie permeates every corner of campus.
So, if you're looking for a university that's as safe as it is spirited, as sporty as it is scholarly, and as welcoming as it is world-class, look no further than Utah State University. It's more than just a school – it's an experience you'll cherish forever.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Know that everything will work out and be okay! That you need to concentrate on your academics but don't forget to have fun every once in awhile, but make sure to do your homework first! College is meant to be fun but you are here to learn and to get a degree. Look at all your different degree options that the school offers and look into all of them, instead of just deciding your major right of the bat. But look into all the different majors and take the introduction classes to them, and when you decide a major, you need to stick with it. Don't just sit and take fun classes but take that classes and generals that you need so your not wasting your money. Lastly, get involved, get involved with the school as much as you can. Go to sporting events, make lots of friends, go to on campus activities, and dances! Just get involved in anyway that you can! College is meant to be fun!
There is no way to narrow down Utah State into one best thing. There is such a broad range and endless amount of opportunity! Diversity and originality flourish! The best thing about Utah State University is that there is such a wonderful place as Utah State University!
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
Well, being Music Therapy Major. I wish I had known that they don't offer academic scholarships to students unless they are Freshman or Transfer Students, because although, I am a high honor college student, I do not recieve any financial support from this school. I would have applied for more private scholarships. I also would have liked to know more of the intensity and level of classes I would need to take for whatever was my major of interest. That way I could have prepared more in advance for my college courses.

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
My school honestly feels like a family. This is a campus that you can ask anyone you see a question and they will go out of their way to help you. I feel that if I am struggling, I can find someone for help and they do not put me down for not understanding. The staff is very reliable, and will call you back or responde to your email usually in a couple hours. We are a smoke free campus and I do not know anyone that drinks. We are focused on our education here and helping each other succeed.
Utah State University is best known for its research. While I haven't yet gotten the chance to participate in research here, I have heard many good things. USU has sent more experiments into space than any other nation in the world! Right now USU is helping with the renovation of Gorongosa National Park as well. USU also has the second oldest undergraduate research program in the nation, next to M.I.T.
I absolutely love the location of Utah State University. It is in a smaller city, so you get more of that "small town" feel. The people of the community are very kind and it really is just a cute town. It is great for people who enjoy the outdoors. Bear Lake is less than an hour away, and on the way there are plenty of great hikes, campsites, and a ski resort. Not to mention natural hot springs, and national parks all within a 2 hour drive. And if you are looking for a "big city", Salt Lake City is only an hour and a half away!
The size of the school is just right. The campus is pretty small, but in a good way! It only takes about 15 minutes to walk from one side to the other. The library is phenomenal! It's very modern and bright, the same atmosphere is felt throughout the whole campus. It doesn't have that old, dingy, 50's-70's feel that a lot of schools in this area have.
The school pride of Utah State is out the wahzoo! Next to Duke, we are known for having the craziest, most pumped fans. Going to games of all sports is a blast, but I prefer the basketball games because they are the loudest, and some of our best cheers happen there!
One thing I would change is the technology system. Utah State has been trying to update and renovate it's system, but it still has a few flaws. I'm sure they will be breaking through these within the next few years.
I love the classes. I feel comfortable. I feel like I am able to excel, yet I am still pushed by others to become better. I have a very good experiences with all of my professors and many of the programs a very highly ranked in the United States.
There is also a high population of international students. This is one of the reasons why I chose this school. I love that atmosphere and the diversity of Utah State. It's more diverse than other schools in Utah, and I love it!
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
I don't notice stereotyping very often here at Utah State. I do know that the Mormon religion is very dominant. This is the only stereotype I have seen. I am not Mormon, and I have not had any problems fitting in. This school is very friendly and welcomes a variety of people.
Since it is a smaller university, there is more opportunity to have a personal experience with the professors. Even in the freshmen courses, there's only a maximum of 300 students, and most are well under 200. My professors know me by name, and I feel like more than just another student to them. The student body is a great balance of competitive and easy going. We work hard and play hard!
I am a marketing student and absolutely LOVE it! It fits me like a glove. The business school is a great department. They work hard with us, and help us learn great business techniques that we wouldn't usually think to learn. There is always plenty of help for resumes, internships, and post graduation. I spend more of my time in the business building than I do my apartment (partially because I work in the computer lab there). But the Huntsman School of Business is one of the many reasons why I chose this school. I actually hadn't even looked at this school until about a month before I started my freshmen year, and I got in, found an apartment, and got into all the classes I needed!
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
Aggie Basketball is one of the most popular activity on campus! The spectrum is one of the best places to be. Cache valley has many activity that are offered. The university is always having some sort of activity everyday, so you can easily find one that will meet your interests.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
84% of students attending Utah State University receive some sort of financial aid.
30% were awarded federal grants.29%received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
