Coppin State University appeals to me for several reasons. One of the standout aspects is its strong sense of community and culture. The university's commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment is really inspiring. I appreciate how Coppin State values diversity and encourages students to embrace their unique backgrounds and perspectives.
Academically, Coppin State offers a wide range of programs and opportunities that align with my interests and career goals. The faculty's dedication to student success and the availability of resources like tutoring and career services are crucial for my academic growth. Additionally, the university's emphasis on experiential learning, such as internships and community engagement, is something I find particularly valuable.
Campus life at Coppin State is vibrant and dynamic, with various clubs, organizations, and events that create a well-rounded college experience. The sense of camaraderie among students and the opportunities for leadership and personal development make it an ideal environment for me to thrive both academically and socially.

Coppin State University is home to all who are apart of Eagle Nation. They're compassionate and graceful to each of the students on campus and throw campus events to keep everyone engaged. For the classroom, the professors are uniquely intelligent to each of their professions they teach.

Outside of extracurricular's, Coppin State University has a wonderful campus with proactive security at all times. But if you're an athlete I'd advise you to avoid Coppin State University at all costs. This school offers little to no help when it comes to conflict with coaches or teammates. You could report a coach the whole season and even report a coach in past years, and there will be no disciplinary actions taken AT ALL. All Coppin State University cares about is winning championships and boost ratings for the school. Mental health is not a priority for student-athletes, especially if you're an incoming freshmen. Yes, they are available but coaches and the athletic department don't make it adamant to seek professional help when things get tough. For me I've experienced many hardships that unfortunately I am still going through, because of the lack of help I received my freshman year. I reported my coach on multiple occasions for the verbal abuse, manipulation, and unfair treatment I received by her. Once I made these reports I was told that actions would be taken, but it seems like they will be keeping her for another season. I wanted to share my opinion and my story so that I can help someone before it's too late. Yes, the school itself is wonderful and if you're just going for academics it's a great school to be at. But if you're looking to also be an athlete I warn you to not go there, and if you're already there leave immediately.

Coppin State University is a great school. It has some more work to do but overall it’s a great place to further your education. In my opinion I would like to have better choices of food in the cafe. I also think there should be a little bit more security because I have some night classes and I don’t really feel safe walking back to my room sometimes. The dorm rooms are pretty much ok but I would like for it to be cleaner. Also the laundry room needs some work. Firstly the washing machines are always dirty and secondly, it would be a big weight off of our shoulders if washing was free or included in our tuition so that way we wouldn’t have to worry about if we will have enough money to do laundry. Coppin is still a wonderful school but We would love to see some more changes around the campus.

Coppin State University is an exceptional academic launch pad. My class size has never exceed 15 students for any class, leaving room for great classroom discussions and more available time with professors. The professors are committed to the success of each student and are passion about the subjects they teach. There is room for improvement in the administrative department and the records and registration office, aside from that CSU is a great school.

Coppin State University overall is a great school. I am currently a rising junior and I love it. If you like a small environment and easy accessible resources like classrooms, dorms and cafeteria. Coppin State University is the perfect school for you! Although the drive there may be tedious, the campus is beautiful and clean at all times. There are many clubs and organizations join including fraternities and sororities to get a hold of the real college experience. There are many college games to go to like basketball, softball and even tennis. The food in the cafeteria is amazing and also comes with extra money on the eaglecard to buy food in the external food stores on campus, isn't that great! Also has a fantastic gym to attend at anytime, which is great because you don't want to all the great food in the café. Lastly the dorms, there are only two building which is nice because I like I said earlier if you like small school this would be perfect. But very spacious, there are many suites and in one suite there are four rooms. Each room can be a single, double or triple. So bring your best to Coppin State University and ask to be roomed with him or her because it can be done so and come along and attend the luscious Coppin State University. One of the many HBCUs.

Coppin State University, I would describe not as just a post-secondary institution for higher-learning. But it is a place where you can be slowly introduced into the flow of everyday life after one would gradutate from the University. The students that come there to learn are from different backgrounds and from different walks of life. It is a great place to collaborate with these people while learning an extensive amount of education. The college itself, does itself to provide an enviroment that everyone is accepted equally and that all of us are there to achieve the highest merits as possible. However, with all of these good qualities, there are some areas that I believe should be worked on at that Institution. For instance, the financial aid office there has had many issues with either filing paperwork wrong or losing paperwork in the begining of each semester of school. Unfortunately, that looks bad for the university if the students cannot recieve their aid for the current semester, because then the ability for them to obtain their books for their courses would be postponed until those matters would be resolved. Also, another issue I have seen with this college, is that there is alot of miscommunication between the administration and staff, along with their departments. I've seen many times that a student would recieve at least three different answers to the same question by three different workers in the same/different department and then it gives the student the run around and in many situations the student will give up and the problem will go unsloved. I have noticed that this exact issue has effected their gradution percentage rate in a negative manner, due to many students young and old will either drop out or transfer out to another University due to inconsitancy and miscommunication. Overall the University is a good school to learn and expand your knowledge but I would advise anyone to just be cautious and perform your own research before doing anything at that college.

My overall opinion about Coppin State Univeristy is great. I love the unity and the campus life, although I commute to school. Also as far as academics I believe it's pretty well, class sizes aren't as huge as other universities which gives us an opportunity of getting to know our professors.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Coppin State University is 39%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I could go back to my senior year in high school I wouldn't change anything because I felt like my senior year was my best year. I was on the principal honor roll the whole year. I was also the manager of Jr. Varsity football team, indoor and outdoor track. I was also the star player on the varsity girls badmiton team. I really wish I could go back to the beginning of my high school experience so I could do as good as I did my senior year.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish i would have been more aware of my surroundings because it is not in the best neighborhood. Sometimes it can be hard to get on campus housing. So my advice is not to procrastinate with any of the paper work you have to turn in.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I don’t believe in a “worst” situation. I believe that anything is possible and everything happens for a reason. I say this because everyone puts themselves in situations, but never think about the end result or the consequences later on down the line. So, I can proudly say that I have never experienced a “worst” situation at my university because I think about my consequences.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I brag to my friends about the new projects that Coppin are doing with building new buildings and new programs this school has come a long way and I am very proud to be a student here.
The best thing about my school is that it is a small campus, equiped with all the tools i need to succeed. I love the convenience of everything I need (dorm, classes, recreation, dinning etc.) being in close proximity, and I love my choice to attend Coppin State University.
A person attending this school would be great for traditional and non traditional college students. Coppin State University not only are supportive to thier struggling students but are working to rebuild thier community as well. There is room for a student who wants to start new organization and get recognition because although there are clubs and organizations we have room for plenty more.
Whether your are 35 or 17 this school will be a good fit for you.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
The kind of person that shouldn't attend this school is a non-ambitious person who does not wants to make a good career in his or her lifetime. This is a person who actually does not wants to achieve academic excellence and knowledge through reading, writing and learning. Any person who chooses not receive academic discipline shouldn't attend this coppin state University.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
I must say my school is very unique in its own way; for every major progam that the school offers to the students, internships are offered to the students so they can have hands on experience before graduation. The professors and course advisors are always willing to lend a hand in every way the can.
With Coppin State University being known as a black school, the school has one of the best sporting facilities in the nation; this has drawn a lot of caucasians and foreign students to the school.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
