Located really close to where I live so the commute is no problem! I love how small the campus is and feel close to the other students walking around. It's near I-75 so there's tons of places to eat and shop at close to campus and Dalton is a very cute part of Georgia with nice neighborhoods and houses.

As a student, I have a particular place in my heart for Dalton State College because of its unwavering dedication to providing accessible education and creating a welcoming learning environment. The college's emphasis on small class sizes and individualized attention creates a stimulating learning atmosphere where students can interact with committed teachers and fellow students. A well-rounded education is facilitated by a wide variety of undergraduate programs and an emphasis on practical learning and community involvement. Dalton State College's inclusive and friendly environment fosters community among its students and makes it a favorable academic and personal learning environment.

DSC is a very affordable college that has allowed me to achieve my dreams without breaking the bank. I made a lot of good friends who have similar interests as me, and I've also learned a lot from the professors on campus. If you're looking for a laid-back environment that supports rigorous work, this is the place for you!

The campus is very nice & welcoming for students. Professors are the best at teaching and have easy access to reach them. The buildings are always kept clean and neat for students to study in. The clubs are the best part because everyone finds their group that makes them feel at home. They are used to spread awareness on issues or make events that bring the school closer. Dalton State is the best choice anyone could make to study their career.

Dalton State is a local college that is close to home. It has nice buildings, but if your a newbie like me you can get confused. I like that they offer the classes I need to get me to where I want to be in life without having to move halfway around the world. I can't wait for the opportunity to be a DSC Roadrunner!

Dalton is a very nice school. I have not been there long but from the many tours, visits, and all day orientation I have found that I feel at home at dalton. The staff there as well as the residents and other students seem fairly nice as well. Overall I can not wait to start my college experience at dalton state.

While it's not the most prestigious or challenging school, Dalton State is a nice way to start off a college career. The classes just aren't challenging enough. It seems as if you attend class then get on with your life. There aren't enough things to do to really have a college experience.

Dalton State is a good college. It provides many things for the students on/off campus and in the classroom as well. Dalton State also has good professors that are very personal and always willing to help. They also have an amazing staff and very kind people that reside there.

Overall DSC has been a great college and the school as a whole is aware that they have many students who work full time; like myself. The professors i have had have all been wonderful and classes are a great size! Although there isnt much going on as far as on campus they do try to have some things to do. It is a commuter school for sure because it is closer to home for most and pretty affordable which is a huge plus!

I am attending Dalton State College for my first 2 years of advanced education to save money for my eventual transfer to GA tech. The facility, staff, and public safety within Dalton State College is impeccable and I will always be proud of the fact that I was able to call myself a Road Runner for 2 years. Police officers are constantly present with am amicable attitude, professors are more then willing to meet with students outside of class, and the facility is always in pristine condition thanks to the hard work of the cleaning staff.

I feel that Dalton State is an easy college to settle into and feel at home with. The campus isn’t giant but it also isn’t small. There are plenty of helpful things on campus so you don’t have to go anywhere else for them. Also, the staff all tries to make you feel like you can ask them for any help if needed.

Dalton State College is very close to home. Campus life seems amazing. Everyone on campus is different; a very diverse group of people. Professors are good about keeping regular office hours. Regular office hours means that help can be provided to students that may need further help.

My overall opinion for Dalton State would have to be amazing. This place makes you feel at home. At first I was a little hesitant on coming here since I wanted to leave my town. But the longer I stayed the better I felt that I belonged here. So if you would like an affordable college and want to feel at home, Dalton State is your best choice.

Overall I believe Dalton State is a good choice for college. While most students plan to only go there first and occasionally second years I plan to stay all four years. Its a cheaper more community oriented college, the kids there are really friendly. The classes are great and they have many options for majors. I do recommend everyone check out Dalton State.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I have gotten alot so far out of my college experience. I have learned alot. I have learned that I have to make friends with people in my class. If i don't then I won't have any friends at school. It has been valuable to attend college because if I don't then I will be without out a job most likely because not many places will hire someone without a college degree anymore. When I get my degree, I will be able to try and find a job and have a chance to get it.

The school is very close to home and don't have to drive very far to get there. The atmosphere is friendly it gives off the feeling that you belong there. The school is not small nor large it's the right size to begin the college experince.
Dalton State has an awesome nursing program! I am not even in school for nursing and have got to hear all about it because of all the students interested in it. Dalton has an overall great learning environment, and is a very nice college!
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about Dalton State College has to be the parking. Parking is so limited it is nearly impossible to get a parking space near the classroom. Oh and when it rains it is terrible ! Parking is even more hectic and reckless. Not to mention the long walk to class. By the time of arrival every one is almost out of breath! The worst thing about Dalton State has to be the parking!
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about Dalton State would be that it is still structured like a high school. The college experience is supposed to be different from that of high school. In terms of teachers not hand holding students and various activities this school is lacking. I think in order to rectify the situation the attendance policies should be done away with, and that the school should have more entertainment activities going on during school hours for those who are waiting for class.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish that i had been more involved in high school just so I was intimadated to join more activities and clubs on campus. I also wish that I had taken the SAT more than once because I did not put a large focus on it and the SAT effects alot of my college career.
The best thing about Dalton State College has got to be the staff. The professors are all enjoyable and easy to get along with. They are all there for you if you need anything at all.
If you are looking for a place to get a jump-start in school or figure out what you would like to do with your life, Dalton State is definitely a great choice. They have low tuition rates, lots of scholarships and wonderful academics. Because it has great accredidation, it looks like most of my classes shall transfer over to wherever God has next for me easily!
What kind of person should not attend this school?
People who want a nice name on their degree that wish to go to a different state for a job. When apply for a job, most company outside of georgia wouldn't know what kind of a school Dalton State College is. These students should apply to a more familar name like the
University of Georgia.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I tell them about the RUAH meetings we have every Tuesday night. It is like a Church service. They have worship before and then someone gets up and presents a sermon. It is so cool to go to those because I don't get to go to church on Wednesday night because I have to work. So it's like i still get the three sermons a week.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
