I love Hanover. I have met so many friends that will probably be friends for life. I struggled in high school making friends, as soon as I arrived at Hanover we all opened our doors to meet each other and all hang out in a big group. Hanover has small classes which helps with learning and the technology they have on campus is top notch

As a sophomore, I’ve learned my way around campus enough to know that this is overall a great place to be. I know that if I had not come here, I would not have been challenged. The scholastics are fantastic and the professors are even better! With smaller class sizes I am able to form great relationship with them.

It's a good school somethings could be better but everything could always be worst. I think we have it good at this school compared to have some students may have it at their schools. The people also get along no one has had any problems with each other so far.

I love Hanover, it has done so much for me as an institution. My favorite part is the meaningful connections I have made with faculty members. The faculty genuinely wants to see you succeed and will do everything within their power to make sure you do. My faculty advisor helped me find an amazing internship that I am currently in, and I LOVE it! I hope to get a job here after college. Another faculty member worked closely with me to write an entire novel draft in just under 3 months, and under his guidance I wrote a staggering 150,000 words. The faculty is so encouraging and supportive of students, it's unlike any other institution I've ever seen. So many of my friends and peers from high school talk about how apathetic their professors are. Some don't even know their professors names. That has never been the case for me at Hanover. The faculty is truly what makes the school. It may fall short in other areas, but the faculty goes above and beyond wherever they can to help their students. Go Panthers!

I think Hanover is a good college, but like all colleges it has its downfalls. The biggest issue for me is the lack of diversity and the lack of effort that the administration puts into bringing everyone together. Yes we have our clubs and events that attempt to bring everyone together but sometimes it just isn't enough. Other than that it is a good school, although the food could be way better. I pay too much money for the food to be looking and tasting how it do.

I have just enrolled at Hanover I will be attending in August and I think Hanover is a wonderful College. Hanover is a small private school that is academically exceptional . Hanover wants to see their students excel and succeed in our lives after college. Which is want I'm looking for in college. When I first went and talked to the advisors and the students at the school and I just knew that this was the place for me. I saw our tour guide receive greetings from every student that we passed, and it made me realize that Hanover is simply more than a school it is a family. There were students that knew each other and seemed to be close friends. Hanover reminded me of my own school, which everyone knew each other from students to teachers. I know that Hanover is the right place for me because I know that teachers there will push me to do me my very best and that student there will become family to me.

I think it's a good college if you're a certain type of person. The drug, alcohol, and hookup scene is much bigger than I was led to believe. Academically, it is strong and the teachers are very involved. The surrounding town is not friendly to POC (people of color) from what I've experienced and heard from others. The campus itself is safe enough.

I love it, and it is the perfect college for someone who seeks both peer and professor relationships. Sure it may seem to be a little secluded in the middle of nowhere, but trust me if you want something to do there are plenty of extracurricular activities in which you could participate in. The professors are very accessible, and if you email them needing help they will try their best to assist you.

As soon as I stepped foot on Hanover's campus, I loved it. Its quiet and cozy and everyone (including the professors) is friendly and nice to be around. The academics are rigorous, but just enough to get you to where you need to be. I love everything about Hanover.

I love Hanover College! Going through the process of visiting schools and trying to decide which one I would attend, I happened to fall in love with Hanover from the start. Everyone is so friendly as soon as you step foot on the campus, which is totally beautiful. The professors are always available at any given time and the class sizes are small enough that you can get any type of personal help that you may need. I absolutely love the school and don't regret my decision at all.

Hanover, or Hanny as we like to call it, is our home away from home. We have opportunities by the hundred in student organizations and in the classroom. One thing I don't think is advertised as much as it should be is the fact that Hanny is excellent for preparing students for graduate school. Each student has to do a senior research project for graduation. No student leaves Hanny without knowing how to conduct research. All of my friends in graduate school are thankful because their classmates have not been as lucky to have such opportunities. Most even say that graduate school is easy because of the skills they learned at beautiful Hanny.

awesome, I love the culture of this school. I play football for Hanover as a freshman and the sports here are so fun. I can't wait to play my next three years here. I'm a health and movement major with a minor in Environmental Studies. Here at Hanover, the professors are simply fantastic. Each professor I have had is compassionate and personal. Work here is hard but so worth the degree. After Hanover, I want to move to Florida because Indiana is a way to cold for me. I can't wait to be in the workforce and start making decent money!

I love Hanover College. It is the perfect fit for a student who came from a small school. I graduated with around 50 other students and I can honestly say that Hanover College allows me to feel at home. We are like one big happy family and that's the beauty of Hanover.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Hanover College is 57%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Over this past summer I worked at a camp for children with behavioral problems. During the training process, one of the key concepts that was conveyed to us was, "These are not bad kids, they are kids with bad behaviors." One of the major problems I've had in college is letting grudges end relationships. Going into college I would suggest thinking about everyone as a good person, and forgiving those mistakes made along the way. In other words, "These are not bad friends, they've just made some mistakes."
Location and the teachers are the absolute best attributes characterizing Hanover. We have some of the best recreational wilderness (which also translates into great research opportunities) and the teachers are phenomenal in terms of helping, teaching, and getting a clear sense of where each student needs to head for graduation.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
Worst is such a strong word. I can't really think of anything that truly dislike here. Maybe a small issue, but nothing to complain about. Maybe the lack of true diversity here. I'm black so there's not a lot of black people. Maybe around 40-45 at the very most. That's 45 out of 2000 by the way, so very small diversity rate.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
Hmm...well, I usually brag about the size of my school, the quality of education, and the beauty of the campus! Because Hanover is so small, the campus community is very close-knit and genuine. At Hanover, everyone has a name. Class sizes are small, which allows professors to get to know their students. As a result, academics are top-notch. Finally, the location of Hanover is so...refreshing. Rather than crowded in a polluted city, Hanover sits high above the gorgeous Ohio River. Many of my friends who attend large universities miss out on these experiences that Hanover offers.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
There is so much work outside of class and sometimes it is hard to juggle with all of my activites. It's like the professors think their class is the only class we have.
Hanover is known for its size, strong emphasis on liberal arts, closeness as a tight-knit community, beautiful campus, school spirit, and a fun and wonderful college experience.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I would have known that the majority of students who attend Hanover come from the surrounding tristate area, and therefore, will travel home on the weekends, leaving campus a little quiet; as a student, you have to be creative and resourceful with friends in order to think of things to do.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
Hanover College is a backwoods, rough-edged, jewel in the rough that would become better with more diverse, academically-inclined students; more reasonable expectations across the board; and with more visionary, tested leadership.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
