The best way to describe most people around campus is quite friendly and helpful, as they pithc in time and effort to help others out when needed.

My classmates are academics focused. There are a lot of math and science based majors as compared to the arts. They have to be involved to get attention, grades are important but it's experience that gets people noticed for jobs and careers and the students here know that. They like to party but they also know when it's time to study and get stuff done.

I am in the honors program, so my fellow students are consciencious, studious, and charitable.

most of my classes are large lecture halls but have smaller recitation classes. You truely get know your classmates in those recitation classes simply because that is where you can get more individual help. So you get to talk to your classmates about the class and really get to know them. That is where I met most of my friends and truely get the best out of college.

My class is very diverse, and this diversity allows every one to find their niche and a group of people they fit perfectly with.

People at Iowa State are really laid back and friendly. Everyone has different backgrounds and different aspirations, and a lot of people are really passionate about what they're studying. People also like hearing about other peoples' studies. It's definitely the most friendly and welcoming campus I've ever been to, and I visited a lot of colleges my senior year in high school.
