A wide variety of cultures, races and personalities. Everybody is open and friendly. You don't ever feel left out, somebody is always there to wave at or smile at. Everybody is friendly to everybody and very accepting of our differences.

My classmates are all very energetic, with a clear passion in their selected major. Students are dedicated to their course work, and strive to get as much as they can out of their degree program.

Most of them are good classmates and they are there to learn and do their best to obtain their degree.

My classmates are hard workers that do their best to survive my school's rigorous engineering curriculum.

The fellow students that surrounded me in my classes were the most motivated students I've come in counter with in my schooling years. Not only were they determined to do their best but had such a postive outlook and attitude when it came to their work and their future. Meeting a variety of different students became a learning experience along with being a friend. Learning new cultures and traditions helped me understand and connect further with them. Iowa State presents several opportunities for students and classmates to get involved in different organizations and clubs with a variety of ethnities.

Classmates will vary from class to class: one classmate sleeps through the entire class, one thinks he/she should prove to the professor he/she is smarter by making comments after every powerpoint slide, one classmate who rarely shows up to class and parties all night, classmates that just sit in their room all night studying, or one of the best classmates are those who find balance between a social life and education because school should be fun as well as educational!

While there are some who don't seem to care, the majority of my classmates have big plans for themselves and they work hard to achieve their goals.

My classmates at Iowa State University, that I associate with, are hard working, fun, intelligent, motivated, athletic, fairly outgoing, economically and environmentally conscious, politically uninvolved, entertaining and great to be around.

You can find every type of person here at ISU, people are intelligent, creative, inspiring, intriging, diverse, caring, and different.

Smart, helpful, and creative are the best words to describe the people here.

My classmates seem a little more reserved than myself, making it difficult sometimes to meet people during class. Its easier to socialize doing other stuff around and off campus.

The Iowa State University students are down-to-earth and friendly.

There are lots of people from Iowa, and live at home on the weekends, but there are lots of people from other countries, too, especially China. You can meet a lot of interesting people, especially in the dorms.
