My classmates specifically in attendance at the college of design are a very creative and expressive group. Everyone is not afraid to be themselves and the environment is generally free of judgement. A large group of talented students who are frequently turning out beautiful works/assignments from every discipline, between architecture, graphic design, integrated studio arts, landscape architecture, etc.

I am blessed to attend a college in which my classmates are goal oriented. My classmates at Iowa State University are willing to help others and give guidance. In my experience I have met responsible people, who are hard working students. Most of my classmates are full time students and work at the same time. Getting their work done and interacting with incoming freashmen is not an issue. Iowa State Students are heartwarming, friendly, trusthworthy, responsible, and caring students.

Iowa isn't that diverse of a place, and neither is Iowa State, but that's just an accident of geography. We have large international student populations, and in my experience (as a white male, so take it for what it's worth) people here are very accepting. People are pretty much nice to each other; nobody really cares what you wear, what race you are, or what gender you have sex with.
Chelsea
Iowa State students are always nice and helpful when needing help or directions.

I am just entering Iowa State University in the fall, however, I currently attend Des Moines Area Community College. I see students of all races, ages, and walks of life on the campuses. I am a non-traditional student, and I have many peers. My business English class was home to many married mothers. Iowa is the new home to many refugees from war-torn countries so we are very ethnically diverse. My fellow students are attending DMACC to save on tuition costs for the first two years, and then move on to a four-year college.

The classmates I had while attending Iowa State were all talkers and very animated. We were all communications majors which made it interesting with class discussions because we weren't afraid to speak up or present to the class.
