There are so many of us that not enough of us talk to one another, as I'm sure there are plenty of friendly people that I'll never have a chance to meet.

A diverse group of people who bring lots of different experiences to the table.

My classmates are an interesting amalgamation of people from far ends of the spectrum, from the artsy to athletic, the nerdy to the binge drinkers, and every colorful variety in between, who are generaly very academicly driven and just a wee bit strange but never anything short of themselves.

I was terrified as I drove to ISU for my first visit. It lasted only a couple of hours - but it completely changed my perspective and gave me confidence for the four years ahead. The girl who helped me get my ID told me not to be nervous and offered her cell number just in case. When I was standing on the sidewalk struggling with a map of the campus, someone came over and offered help - just in case. The list goes on - the important thing is that students are nice, friendly, and genuinely excited to be here.

My incoming freshman class was one of the largest in Iowa State's history, so I'm always meeting new people and making new friends!

The classmates of ISU come from all different backgrounds across the midwest and keep the school enviroment interesting and entertaining.

I attend ISU with a diverse body of 2015 graduates (freshman this year). I would say a vast majority of my friends, primarily male, are majoring in Engineering or a related field. Behind them, there are many business graduates, both male and female, that attend the college. Design is another strong area where many classmates choose to study. There is a large population of Asian students in Design and a considerable amount in other sciences, primarily engineering.

My fellow students are energetic and life-loving. Most of them have an undeniable drive to succeed and they appreciate the opportunities around them and take advantage of their surroundings.

My classmates vary from being here for an education and being here because their parents pay for their college.

My classmates are my lifeline and family here at college. They are all very different, but we come together, despite those differences, and work towards a common goal of graduating. Some people may travel different paths than your own, but as long as everyone eventually arrives at the same destination and they all enjoy the ride, success can be achieved. I may have different beliefs, ideas, and priorities than my classmates, but we all want to work hard and do well in school.
