The students are nice and diverse.

ISU is one of the most diverse schools in the U.S. Our enrollment level went up so much this semester not only bringing in a huge number of freshman and transfer students but more diversity as well. I like the fact that there are so many different clubs and organizations here on campus that allow all diverse people to find a place where they feel comfortable, safe, and at home when they are struggling financially or academically. I feel with so much diversity no one would feel out of place on this campus. When it comes to financial background I would have to say it is hard to identify who is from a low SES or from a high SES because we all do not mind wearing our old pajamas to class early in the morning.

As an older, non-traditional student, most of my classmates are younger than I am, however they are largely polite to one another and considerate of their peers.

My classmates understand the workload and behaviors of our teachers, making class fun and a little easier.

People on campus are fun, enthusiastic, and caring. There is a sense of commnuity here that permeates everything from just haning out on campus to going to class. You will make life long friends that will be there for you thorugh think and thin no matter what.

Academically minded and career focused.

Most of my classmates come from small towns in Iowa, privilaged families, and are caucasion.

A wide array of students are at ISU. There are multiple agriculture and engineering students. To me it seems that the level of academics is taken on strongly by my classmates. I know that if I needed help from people in my class, many would be more than willing to get together to figure out how the work needs to be done and how to better understand the class.

My classmates at Iowa State University are friendly, helpful, and intelligent individuals that I feel comfortable getting to know!

My classmates are intelligent people that will go on to get very respectable engineering careers.
