I absolutely enjoy the college. There are great students and professors. Professors are easy to contact and always help their students even if the concerns don’t involve school. Advisors are great and help you accomplish your goals. It’s the best college out there.
Tanya
Great teachers , awesome campus and decently priced.
I enjoyed The campus and how diverse it was in regards to Majors and students.
They offered free tutoring ,people were easy to get along with and texhers/professors were passionate.
I would return for LPN to RN program in a heartbeat over other colleges in the region.

Ivy tech Northwest is an extremely safe and educational environment. I love going to ivy tech northwest and I’m excited to graduate in 2020 through their nursing program. I love how they offer a two year nursing program to receive an ASN, as well. I truly would not be happier going to any other college to receive my ASN in nursing.

Ivy tech is a great school with sma classes sizes and teachers who really care! I believe that they give 100% and are there to really help. The advisors are amazing and really help you to figure out what you want to do and the path you want to go down.
Clarissa
My favorite part about Ivy Tech is the fact that most, if not all instructors want you to not only pass, but have a complete understanding pf what it is you are learning in class. Any instructor I have had has always made sure to make themselves available as much as possible to our convenience. It is a fantastic school.

It's a cheap school that is great for people who have to work full-time and still want a college education. The campus may not be the prettiest, and the building may be old, but quality teaching is still getting done and students are still making it to class.

Too be honest Ivy Tech was not my first choice in schools; I wanted to go somewhere big and somewhere far away from home, I wanted to get away. That being said I always knew college was my responsibility, I knew my parents couldn't afford it so if I wanted to go to school I had to figure that out on my own. Ivy Tech has made that possible for me, and I am so blessed to have a school that made getting an education a reality. I am 20 years old and I live with my parents about 30 minutes from campus and I commute back and forth/ take on line classes. I am so happy that is an option for me. this last semester I worked anywhere from 40-60 hours a week to make my school payments every month but I just finished my my sophomore year and I have zero debt and I am again so blessed to have chosen a school that has made no debt, and a good education possible for me. I shocked myself but I am so glad to go to this school the class sizes are small enough for me to feel comfortable, I have made many friends which was always a struggle for me. I was also shocked to find the professors here weren't like the nightmare I had been warned about. They payed attention, and wanted to know about your outside life and understood we were human not just students. They did this while making sure we got the best education possible. We are students at Ivy Tech not just numbers, what more could you want in a school?

This school has given me the opportunity to work while attend college. The online classes make it easier for me to keep my job and earn a living while furthering my education. The atmosphere at the campus is upbeat and safe. And everyone there is willing to help in any way that they can in order to see the students succeed.

Ivy Tech Community College has been pretty good so far I just really wish there were more extracurricular activities available for students. Sometimes it can get a little boring during my free time.
Elena

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would advice to myself that I was going to do good and believe in myself more. I also would have not been so nervous about the school I was going to.
I think that kind of person that should attend this school that someone that is going to take school seriously. Some students at my school do not take schooll very seriously.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I would have known that a community college would have been a better start for me because struggled so much at the university. I learned alot at IUN but I feel more at home in this smaller enviornment.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
Well the worst things are that we don't have enough instructors in the IT field.
Most of the classes I being taken are online, I would reader have them in class.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
If you are lazy and aren't willing to apply yourself, then you should not attend this school or any college for that matter. In college you are responsible for what you learn, not the professor or instructor. I will admit I went to IUN my first year and it was so difficult for me that I decided to transfer to a community college and get a fresh start from there. I am doing so well now because the class sizes are much more smaller and the instructors can work with you more individual to help you understand
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
Some Academic Advisors can be mean. The school does give you a run around from one department to another. I understand we all have bead days but Certain people in the financial aid office does not have to have an attitude like we are taking from them They take too long to give you your aid.

Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
