I am excited to begin my journey at Kean University in the fall of 2025, where I will be studying Early Childhood Education. Kean University offers a unique and supportive learning environment that will allow me to pursue my passion for teaching and help me become the best educator I can be.
One of the things that excites me most about Kean University is its commitment to student success. The university’s smaller class sizes and dedicated faculty ensure that students receive personalized attention and support throughout their studies. As someone who is passionate about learning and eager to grow, I know that Kean will provide the resources I need to thrive academically.
The Early Childhood Education program at Kean is highly respected and offers a comprehensive curriculum that blends theoretical knowledge with practical experience. This hands-on approach is essential for a field like education, where being able to apply what I’ve learned in real-world settings is just as important as classroom instruction. Kean’s partnerships with local schools and community organizations will give me opportunities to work directly with children and gain valuable experience that will be invaluable in my future career.
In addition to its strong academic programs, Kean University also offers a diverse and welcoming campus environment. With students from different backgrounds and cultures, I know I will be exposed to a variety of perspectives that will broaden my understanding of the world and make me a more compassionate and effective educator.
Overall, Kean University is the ideal place for me to pursue my dreams of becoming an Early Childhood Educator. I am confident that the education, experiences, and opportunities I will gain at Kean will help me make a positive impact in the lives of children for years to come.

As I finish my first year here at Kean University, I can say with 100% certainty that I made the right choice. From the small and beautiful campus, amazing professors, and inclusive events, Kean is an amazing school. This year, I have gained so much knowledge from my professors. It is abundantly clear that they all care about their students, and they want the absolute best for them. Professors take their time explaining things, ensuring all students understand the material.
The campus is wonderful. I have so many areas where I can study, all with amazing views. Whether in the library, in academic buildings, or outside, the views and atmosphere make completing work and studying an enjoyable experience. I frequently take walks around the campus to admire the buildings and landscaping.
From RA programs, to organizations, the events here truly bring a sense of community to students. I've made diamond paintings and slime, seen a concert, enjoyed good food, and met so many amazing people due to these events.
Kean is truly my home away from home and I am so glad I chose to continue my education here.

Kean is a school among my list that I am interested in because of the opportunities and the unique diversity on campus. The campus is beautiful and is a healthy environment to spend four years of your college life. It is a place where you will get to meet new people and as well as create life long lasting memories. It is a place where I feel is confident to land a job after college with your major.

Kean University checks all my boxes. From my first visit, the students were welcoming and friendly. I love the campus grounds and accessibility to the town surrounding it, as well as being a train ride away from New York. The staff was very engaged and caring during the open house, brunch, and admitted student day events. In addition, the dorm rooms were the nicest I have seen during my college tours. I felt safe and like I belonged there.

I am very glad that I decided to transfer to Kean University. I was previously enrolled in a community college and I wasn't sure where I wanted to transfer at the time. But as I did more research on my intended major, I found Kean to be the best option for me.

Is a nice university, and I understand that due to the current circumstances we have to be on online classes, but its hard for someone who is just coming out from high school to really get involved in the college culture and to get comfortable with it, it has been my case since I entered last semester.

Keanu is a school that has produced thousands of successful graduates. They do not only involve in academic learning only but also extracurricular activities which is also a form of learning. They sharpen student's mindset and make academic hours flexible.

The college does have a vibrant atmosphere in the fall but things slow down in the spring as everyone starts to study. There’s not really a lot of partying on campus but there are off campus. You can always find things to do and activities to participate in.

I enjoyed my time at Kean. I never had an issue with any of the faculty, and I met people who have made a positive impact on my life. The class sizes were small which allowed a more intimate and understanding relationship with professors. The on-campus facilities were readily available to all students and their interests, whether it be gyms or study rooms.

Not a bad school up to a certain point you might say its underrated. There are definitely some organization problems. Also, there is no in between staff either cares or does not care at all. Greek life is basically non existent, you don't really see any activity. Parking sucks really bad.

I think that Kean is the right fit for me. A lot of people go home on the weekends so there aren't many activities to do on the weekends. It's a big sports school. Plenty of places to eat on campus. I haven't had a professor I haven't liked.

I believe that Kean is underrated. Though it may not be the "best" school, and it may not be in a college town, the campus is very beautiful and most of the people there are very understanding and nice. The school is also very affordable for an education that seems to be the same standard as other colleges. Maybe I just met some fun people, but I find myself to be happy and entertained by my surroundings. The food could be better, and the Communications program is not top tier, but you get what you pay for and I'm fine with that!!
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Kean University is 74%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I have gained invaluable experience in the field of music education. Due to the proximity to NYC, I was able to attend many concerts that opened up my musical knowledge, and I was able to study clarinet with one of the most dynamic international clarinetists in the world. In my education courses, I studied with two valuable resources in the field of music education; one a specialist in the field of early childhood education, and the other a specialist in woodwinds and K-12 education. The small class sizes made it possible for a close interaction between faculty and students, and this one-on-one attention enabled deeper understanding of the content being taught.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
I believe Kean Univeristy to be an extremely diverse school and I also believe that it works perfectly that way. I would like to say that there is not a group or kind of person that should not attend this school. All students are made to feel welcome as well as encouraged to pursue their desired career. I truly believe that anyone who decides to attend Kean University will learn a lot about who they are, and what kind of person they want to become. I have learned not only from my professors, but my fellow classmates as well.
The small class sizes. I think small class sizes makes it seem like youre getting a more attnetion from the professor and like you dont get lost in class
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
Kean University is one of New Jersey's hidden treasures. The school is ranked first in the field of Education. Kean Univeristy invests in its students' success by offering diverse courses, the most knowledgable professors, free tutors, excellent student resources, and state of the art facilities. Kean is a large university that gives students a sense of belonging. One thing that I brag about to my friends when I talk about Kean University is that it offers not just an education but all the advantages you need to be a well-rounded, successful person when you graduate.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about Kean is that it is not very much to do on campus. My friends and I hang out and make out own fun, but most times it is hard to find something interesting to do on campus. Also there is not much "school spirit" at Kean University. I wish students had more of want to be involved with the school. It seems like all people want to do is go to class and then get out as fast as they can.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
HI, I love my school because it has small classes. It is very important to me that you can focus and ask many questions that you want. If it is many student in my class I can not able to ask a lot of questions. Then I might have problem doing my homework. My school also provide hot, fresh and variety of food. One thing I liked about my school is there is a train station five minutes away from my campus. Therefore I have no problem of ride.
I love my school.
I can honestly say that every professor I ever had at Kean University remembered my name, and i have been attending the school for almost four years. My favorite class by far was experimental psychology. Believe me I am not a math wiz at all nor am i any good with statistics, but the teacher and the school made it so easy for me to learn and love this subject. My least favorite class would have to be any math class, but that is just because math is not my favorite. Class participation is pretty common, there are always some students that do not want to participate, but there are also students that do. For the most part if you walk around campus you will commonly hear intilectual coversations between groups. but other times you may hear about football or something, it really depends on where you are in the campus. I really cannot say that i have taken a unique class, but that was my own choice. I know that Kean offers a lot of very different courses.
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
The stereotype at Kean University is that the campus is very "Ghetto" because it is located in a urban setting. This stereotype isn't accurate. The campus itself is very nice and very well kept, there is also a very good mix of culture at the school but it is not a "ghetto" campus. Students at this school feel very safe when walking around the campus.
