Mercer is a very nice school beautiful campus and great community. However the sports are mediocre and the extra things to do are limited to zero on campus. It is a very expensive school and struggle to find funding. However, out of all of my options I would still choose mercer.

I think that Mercer seems like a good school for me. While with the small student body, there can be a lack of diversity, the small classes provide, at least for me, an introvert, a feeling of comfortability that makes it easier to bond with my professors and peers.

Oluwasegun

A great citadel of learning, where one can grow academically and become a better solution provider to the world. There are a lot of new opportunities, and students have access to the right tools for a rewarding academic experience. Besides, the academic environment is second to none, with state-of-the-art facilities, which make learning possible and affordable.

I knew Mercer was the university for me when I experienced its welcoming, uncompetitive atmosphere the moment I set foot on campus. Mercer’s intimate and driven community has allowed me to form lasting relationships with peers and professors while providing immeasurable opportunities, such as in research and service. I was drawn to Mercer’s service-oriented focus and desire to make meaningful and long-lasting impacts in the lives of those in need as I hope to spend my life doing this very thing as a rural primary care physician. I have not been disappointed as service opportunities abroad, such as Mercer on Mission, and in the local Macon-Bibb region, such as Service Saturdays, are available throughout the semester to anyone seeking to help others. When I first started college, I was certain that none of my professors would want to be bothered by me or form relationships with their students. Thankfully, I was wrong! All of my professors have been open to questions and student interaction. They all learned my name by about the second week of class, especially thanks to the small class sizes and personal learning environment, and look forward to talking to students about their field(s) of interest. While Mercer students are academically driven, there is not a strong, overbearing sense of competition but rather that of community. Anyone seeking a university that offers rigorous academics in an intimate learning environment with research, study abroad, athletic and service opportunities should consider Mercer!

Both of my parents have graduated from Mercer University . They regard it as having a very well put education system and staff and it has been my dream to attend here ever since I could talk. It is amazing what programs there is there and all the things I could become just from attending to Mercer. I have visited there a couple times and it has a beautiful campus. Being able to attend Mercer University would make a great start to my life as an adult.

This is a wonderful school. It is a blessing to have been admitted and i love the culture and everything about it. Everyone here is helpful this reminds me of more of a family atmosphere than a school so i am glad to have choose mercer to continue my education.

During the college search, I was looking for a school with a reputable name, but also a place I felt comfortable. When I toured Mercer, I knew this was the place for me. The atmosphere was just very friendly and positive, and the students seemed like they were enjoying being here. While I was pleased to get accepted and get into the college, there were many pleasant surprises that I had no clue about walking onto the campus. Campus life does a great job of bridging the gap between home and school. Mercer is a very student-oriented campus and will go out their way to make sure that every student on this campus is comfortable and has a chance to be successful. The programming and events here at Mercer are always done to the utmost quality and are just fun events to bring the community of students together. Another great thing about being at Mercer is we are just that a community. There are so many people here from so many different walks of life. However, we have created a community of respect and tolerance. The students at the University have been nothing but loving, friendly, and respectful. That doesn’t just apply to the students, but the faculty and staff as well. The professors at Mercer have been nothing short of amazing as they care about their students well being not just their grades. Mercer University was the best decision I’ve made in my life thus far.

Kimberly

Great atmosphere and educational value.

I think Mercer is a very welcoming place, every time I have toured there or done some kind of on campus event it is always very comfortable to be there, the people always seem very happy to be there and it is a very homey. From the first time I toured Mercer I knew I could see myself there, they have so many different opportunities and provide a lot of diverse ways to be involved.

Mercer University is an amazing place to attend especially to focus on academics. Their main campus in Macon is extremely quite and feels very secured which is an overall learning environment. The students there look nice and would help if your lost and don't know where to go. When I visited, I talked to some of the staff and they all genuinely care about helping students reach their academic potential. I honestly hope to get into an amazing school such as Mercer to improve my academic career and to help make my future brighter.

I earned my second master's degree from Mercer University. Before I graduated from the program, I was offered a promotion in my field of study. I know that I was offered a promotion because of the knowledge and skills I acquired at Mercer University. Soon after I graduated, I decided to return to Mercer for their doctoral program in curriculum and instruction. Since beginning the doctoral program, I have earned another promotion. My experience with Mercer has led me to the conclusion that education from Mercer University leads to success.

Alexis

I am attending the adult program with penfield college. The students are easy to get along with and the hours can be long but are manageable. The campus is beautiful in Macon and most of the classes are useful and worthwhile. Some of the mandatory classes are crappy and have way way more homework than necessary. Otherwise it’s a great school.

Sydney

It is an amazing place to be. It truly is a family. Everyone supports one another, and we all want to help each other succeed. The academics are serious, and all freshmen have multiple people who monitor their academic progress and encourage them to improve their grades. This is the most supportive campus that I have ever seen. The class sizes are very small, and each student receives an individualized education.

Chantel

I'm part of Georgia Baptist College of Nursing and I love it! If you want to go to nursing school, this program is by far the best. The ONLY downside is that you don't get to pick your schedule. But the upside to that is the professors create the program to where you don't have an exam in 2 different classes within the same week. It's truly a team effort all around. The program is difficult, but they WANT you to succeed. They want you to become the best nurse you can be.

Someone that enjoys small class sizes, and is not looking for crazy parties. We party here with the fraternities and we also go downtown, but it isn't like at the large universities. You have to be willing to work because the classes here are harder, but its worth it.
