I've been having a positive experience at Middlesex County College. I take classes both at home and on campus. Classes in person are offered face-to-face with professors and peers, which builds a more personal connection with them. Online classes also allow you to interact not just with your professor but with peers as well through discussion boards (sometimes you get graded based on your participation and not just work). They're also flexible in terms of scheduling, which is an advantage when you have other commitments outside of college. Both create a fruitful learning environment. This college offers various degrees and the environment is safe. Academic counselors, tutors, and professors from the classes I have taken so far are generally helpful and responsive. I find this college to be a valuable stepping stone to get adjusted to the experience before transferring to a 4-year university.

It's very affordable, the professors are always there if you know when to contact them, and you can have a very active social life outside the classroom too with our many clubs! Sure, you won't like some of the professors, but that's entirely up to you; you can drop and add on another class or major if you talk to the people at Enrollment Services in West Hall.

Since starting at Middlesex County College in Spring 2020, I have learned a lot about myself as a student. I never knew I could be capable of such high grades and a high GPA. I wouldn't have known this had I not enrolled into this college and been taught by the wonderful professors here at MCC. I think this is one of the best community colleges that there is with a variety of majors, and the campus is simply beautiful. I am very happy that I am a student here and forever grateful for the professors I have had in the past. They are gems, truly.

Middlesex Country College is an underrated school. Many folks don't attend there because it is a community college but it has so much to offer. That school literally has a little bit of everything. It has sports for the athletic, art for the artistic, science, math, etc. etc. you can find a major in almost anything over at M.C.C. And can't forget about the food they have there. It is amazing. You wanna know why? It's cooked bu the students who are majoring cooking.

I think Middlesex Community College is a great college. They have a beautiful campus in which it almost looks like a 5 star university. Not all of the professors are the best but, if you search your professors before you get them you are most likely to enjoy most if not all of your classes. The classroom sizes are usually kind of large (about 24 per class) BUT, that shouldn't stop you from studying and getting your work done like you are supposed to.

I enjoy going to school at Middlesex County College. The people on campus are friendly and easy to talk to. The teachers are usually available for help in person when needed and always available through email. There are facilities for students to use for recreation and athletics. I am very happy to further my education at this college.

Middlesex County College is an accessible school that's welcoming of all people. Professors are well educated, extremely helpful, and nice. The students here are very sweet, accepting of others, here to do work, and ready to learn and grow. The classes are also a lot cheaper. Its smart to use this school as a stepping stone toward your future.

Middlesex County College is a good county college either for working adults who attend part time, someone who is unsure of what direction they want to go towards, or anyone just looking to save money. Many professors have office hours or are able to email you regarding your academic needs. There are a variety of clubs, though I would be happy with a few more options. Overall, Middlesex County College is good school.

I think it's a great school overall, the campus is pretty and it doesn't take long to get to my classes. The professors seem passionate though I have encountered professors who could not teach well. Other than that, I enjoy the Starbucks on campus and was able to make great friends there too.

Middlesex County College is a great college to attend to save tons of money while still receiving a great education. It is a great school to get you prepared to attend your four year college afterward. There are also so many programs that can be completed without transferring to another college after. Additionally, Middlesex County College has many groups and extra activities that students can partake in to make friends and get more connected. I was on the soccer team which helped me make many friends! Overall, Middlesex county college is the best county college to attend to start your college experience.

Extremely affordable, with wonderful caring teachers, and honestly a much better option than going to an expensive university with large class sizes and teachers that can't be bothered to learn your name. I personally believe that the science programs at MCC are stronger than the equivalent courses offered at Rutgers and other nearby universities.

MCC is a great place to just get your degree and go. There's not much to the place. Our daily ritual is to wake up, get to class, learn, work, rinse and repeat. The availability and dedication of the professors are very much appreciated, however it seems that the materials available seems to be a bit lacking. Overpriced textbooks, the lack of a nurse, the parking spaces, and a poorly handled website for student access leave Middlesex County College to deserve the dull rating of a 3.

It's a great school, there are great programs and activities, but there is still room for improvement within the services that they provide. The staff and faculty are often times very nice and understanding, but there are some that aren't. My experience so far has been bittersweet, but I'd like to think that things will get better.

It was a great school, I got to experience new things , such as how to be a host in a radio station and how to act better. The professors are there to help you and always have welcome hands. Some professors are tough on you, but it's because they want you to grasp the skill.

Overall, Middlesex County College is a great school to be a part of. The professors there are very willing to work with their students and are easy to access. There are numerous clubs and sports that you can join, and you can also create one. There is no on or off campus housing because it is not a dorming school. The students are very friendly and open, and it is easy to start a conversation with someone and make friends. the facilities on campus are free and open to students, and have very good and flexible hours. The advising for scheduling is very good on giving advice for classes for both general and specific needs. There is not a lot to do outside of campus due to its location on a busy highway. There is also very little, if any, drug or alcohol use. The only downfall to this school, which also happens to be a big one, is that there is not much security. Since it is a safe town, it can be overlooked, but anyone can walk on campus that is not suppose to be there because there us no i.d. check or anything like that. Overall, Middlesex County College is a great school to be apart of with very little downfalls.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Middlesex County College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
College life is not like high school life. Although what is taught is the same for the first year of college, college is a time of gaining independence for students, whether they live on campus or not.
Professors are not going to coddle students or stay on their cases like they do in high school. Professors are there to get a paycheck, no motivate students. It is in the students? best interest to attend class as much as possible, take notes, and get a study buddy in each class. Students must to take the initiative to seek tutoring help on their own.
Stay on top of what courses are needed for a major completion. Many counselors recommend courses that aren?t needed. Always ask questions and make monthly counselor visits to make sure that everything is right.
Books are expensive. Instead of purchasing every book before the class begins, go to the class and ask the teacher in advice whether or not it is worth buying the book. Search online sources for books; they are much cheaper than the ones bought on campus. Although college is work and responsibility...have fun. It?ll be the time of their lives.
The best thing about school is meeting new people and getting roped into unique experiences with these new people. I love that because it makes my life feel interesting and it gives me something to reminisce about when the mood strikes me. Looking back, I wouldn't be the person I am now without going to school.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about this school is the food. The food is horrible. It's ran by Sodexo and the food is overpriced and horrible. $3 for burnt soggy fries.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The thing I brag most about my school is about some of my professors. Some of my professors can make the classes extremely interesting. A great teacher can make a great student.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
My school is a diverse educational environment with the ability to turn strangers into friends and give a warm sense of a home away from home all the while providing an easy-going faculty staff with a curriculum that any student would find appealing and simple to engage in.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
There are many things that make my school unique but one thing that makes my school unique is because that it is a two year school it doesn't make you feel as if after class you need to rush home. My school makes you feel as if you have a second home. And many students who have graduated have cried because they have made a comfort zone. Also, the diversity of the students. My school is very diverse there are so many students who are from diffenrent parts of the world and they themselves begin to feel at home.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
The kind of person who shouldn't attend Middlesex County College is someone who is looking for a free pass to do nothing and, at the same time, excell. Anyone who is not willing to give school his or her complete devotion should not be attending. Much is expected from each student at Middlesex, and anyone who thinks that he or she can just sit back and cruise on through is in for a rude awakening.
My classmates are much nicer, relaxed, nonchalant, and more accepting than the students that most people have dealt with in high school; there are no real popularity ranks or anything because everybody just seems to be here to get an education, meet people, and have a good time.
Middlesex County College is best known for being a great starting point for those who wish to move on to a four year school. I myself am almost finished and will soon be moving on to a university. I don't think I could have had a better starting point than Middlesex.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I knew better study habits. Until I met Professor Gardner, my study habits were lackluster. After meeting her, and getting thoroughly involved with her class, my study habits had completely changed for the better.
I believe that anyone can go to this school wether you know what you want to do in life or not. This school helps steer you in the right direction towards where you want to be. Take me for example I came in without a clue. I now know exactly what is is I want to do and where I want to be. This school is especially good to get you started if you do not have the funds to pay for a four year college, they help you throught out the whole way.
