All the students at NC State are friendly and energetic. I still havent met a person who isn't friendly enough to say hey on the street, or have time to grab a bite to eat. The students here are focues on having fun in school, rather than wasting it all away. almost everyone is active in at least one club. Most of the students are from North Carolina, but we have a lot that come from out of state as well. Because the campus is so big, you'll always have opportunities to meet new people and expand your networking experience.

I think that there is a variety of all kinds of students at my school. There are those who are cowboys, or more agriculturally focused, but there are also those who are in sororities and frats. The financial backgrounds of all the students vary greatly as do the religious and political views. One main thing that it seems that most of the students on this campus are a part of is being more environmentally conscious.

Students at State are very diverse. There are students from almost every religious background, as well as students that differ in sexuality, class, gender, or race. State emphasizes the importance of diversity within a community and encourages students to be tolerant and respectful of people's beliefs that are different than their own. I do not believe any student would feel out of place at State. I am Catholic and feel more comfortable telling people this at State than I did at my private, Christian high school. Students wear a variety of clothes at state. What a person wears really depends on who he or she is. There are people who wear athletic clothes and others who wear jeans and a t-shirt. Overall, girls prefer to wear leggings with a t-shirt and boots of some kind. However, not every girl adheres to this. Many students at my university are politically aware. There are many organizations on campus that allow students to become politically active if they wish. State lives up to its promise of diversity. Everyone at State can fit in and not have to worry about discrimination.

If you are wanting to go to a college that respects diversity, NC State is the place for you. They do not tolerate any injustice toward diversity. They have a week dedicated diversity. There are very diverse students at State. I think State is very welcoming to any type of student. A lot of students are from North Carolina and specifically from the triangle area. However, there are also a lot of out-of-state students as well. From my experiences, I see a lot of both. There are students from every walk of life in terms of financial backgrounds, political backgrounds, and future plans.

NCState is extremely diverse, there is no "typical" NCState student that can be classified by race, religion, LGBT, etc. we have a very active LGBT program along with a leadership and community service department. they both run events on campus, there is no way that different types of students couldn't interact at a school of 34,000 students

Students at State are very diverse. I have had a great time learning about different peoples' backgrounds and preferences. I love the diversity here, I love meeting new people and learning different things. Three of my suite mates last year were born in other countries!
I don't feel that any student would feel out of place at this school. Though, being from New York, I did have to have a good sense of humor to go along with the jokes. I did not find them offensive because I could tell that my friends were cracking jokes in good fun.
Students wear anything from pajamas to sweats to dress pants to class. In the fall and spring, shorts and sundresses are a frequent choice of dress.
There is generally not a large distinction between different groups of people at the dining hall. The most often occurrence that I would see at several tables is that girls and guys may sit separate on some days. I assume that its a "girl time"/"guy time" sort of thing. I know I like to have some time with my girls.
Most of the students are from North Carolina.
Middle Class students are most prevalent.
Some students talk about how much they will earn one day, but not all.

There is no dresscode.

There are clubs geared towards almost any lifestyle, hobby, or interest here. There is a LGBT community and they celebrate and raise awareness for diversity every semester, and it is no different for any other group! Most students are very open minded here, although, there are always going to be the few closed minded and intolerant people on any campus. There are the "nerds" who play a zombies attack game on campus, "preps" who dress up every day for class, "hipsters" and "skaters" who spend a lot of time in the brickyard riding skateboards and doing tricks to impress girls walking past, "rednecks" who drive their big and loud trucks around, and every other stereotypical example of types of students. It is a very diverse campus and that is what is great about NCSU.

Most students at the school are pretty laid back and accepting and interact with different types of people. Most people are down to earth.
