NCTC (North Central Texas College) is a really solid choice for affordable education, offering strong transfer programs to universities like UNT. It’s good for students looking for smaller class sizes, flexible schedules, and workforce training, but it lacks the campus life of larger school. I would recommend people to come to this school if you plan on saving a bit of money, aren't fully sure with what you want to do in life or if you plan on transferring to a big college.

North Central Texas College has campuses in different cities including Denton, Flower Mound, Corinth, and Gainesville. The staff is really friendly and always ready to help students with various problems or questions. NCTC instructors are caring and educated and as long as students follow their instructions, they will succeed. NCTC is a great place to meet new people with different interests and a good choice for high school graduates who are planning to transfer to UNT or MSU due to their close partnership with NCTC.

It is an okay school with great professors and classes. Administration and enrollment and registration can be very difficult and confusing. The multiple campuses makes it really easy to commute from anywhere in the Denton County area. The engineering technology major related professors are particularly amazing.

The community college was varied and easy to access, however I don't believe this college adjusted to the online aspect of the pandemic. There were instances where I never saw nor heard from my professor the entirety of the semester, and my grades suffered in response.

It's a good program! I take Dual Credit there and all the teachers there are very understanding and helpful. Coursework is not stressful, but informative. I've learned a lot! Just try to stay motivated and communicate with your professors. Actually try to do the work because they are trying to teach life lessons and skills along with the subject matter.

North Central Texas College is a great community college for those looking for an affordable and great school. Professors take great measures to help each student to be successful and have a great number of office hours. Class size makes it easy to make friends and find study partners, as well as participating in class.

North Central Texas College is a decent community college however it's campus isn't nearly as nice as my last community college in Virginia, and you're required to buy your own scantrons. You don't really make friends here as everyone just wants to go to class and then go home or to work, on the plus side the classes are usually pretty easy and if you do your work you will pass.

I love NCTC. The staff honestly cares about their students and wants them to succeed in school, and life. I started off as just a student here, but now I also work here and help other students with making their college experience better.
The teachers are amazing and making learning easy, as well as just making sure you understand what is going on in class.

North Central Texas College is not an amazing school. The tuition is cheap because it is a community college, but that's really the only reason anyone goes there. Most of the instructors feel the need to 'prove themselves equal' to big university professors, therefore making their courses extra challenging and unforgiving.

I went to the NCTC campus in Corinth a few times for tours, taking exams, and going with my mom (because she taught there at times); I was also a dual credit student there for a few classes. If I had decided to go to community college 1st, then NCTC would've been my first choice. I liked how the campus wasn't too far from where I lived and that it's very small and calm.
I've only talked to a few of the teachers and staff, but all of the ones I've met were very friendly, helpful, and informative in what I think is the best way possible. They are clear, concise, and accurate if you have questions about certain things, depending on who you ask (for example, if you have questions about using the test center, then the test center workers are able to answer your questions).
There were a lot of opportunities to have online classes if transportation was an issue (at least as long as you sign up for one very quickly).
The food court was fine, but there wasn't a variety of food when I went here (there were about 3 types of foods to choose from). (-1 star)
The dual credit courses I took there were engaging, even though a couple of them were online; the credits were also easy for me to transfer to a 4-year college. These were probably my favorite things about NCTC.

It's a good school to go to if you struggle financially. I enrolled in 2017, I'm not on campus but the professors I've had are amazing and I've enjoyed their classses. The class itself is not very difficult to pass, most of the work is online even some tests.

Overall, it is alright. I do like the ratio of teachers to students. They have pretty good extracurricular activities. It is not a campus full of bad students, but no school-full of students will have the perfect students. They have a few shops around, but could have more. Academics are good. Teachers seem to be understandable. Overall, I would rate it pretty good.

I have enjoyed my time at NCTC, because the environment is nurturing and supportive. It is very apparent that the teachers want their students to learn, and they want to help in any way possible. In a learning environment this kind of attitude is vital to the success of many students.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
"Self, you are a teenager with responsibilities including but not limited to: maintaining a part time job to put food on the table and being a leader in the band as section leader and band director assistant while maintaining a 4.25 GPA. I am about to add more to your plate. You will soon begin the tedious process filling out scholarships and applications for colleges. I know that you are excited about heading into nursing school. You will have all the responsibility of homework soley on you because your professors will primarily give final grades based on tests and essays. This means do your homework when you receive it and absorb the information. Do not procrastenate! This will send you into a spiral downward as you will be always trying to catch up. Take chances and make friends and study motivated buddies that will push and be the accountability in the transition. Most importantly, however, is to communicate with all of your professors and let them help if you are struggling at all. These professors always have some sort of tutoring or enhancements in order to help in the absorbtion of material. Keep focusing and you will succeed."
Someon who can adapt to the outdoors-there are so many specatacular things about living in Alask, but the darkness is difficult for people if you don't enjoy outdoors activities, or stay active.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I really love my school and I never fell something bad from my school. My school give me wondeerful knowlwedge so that I can become successful in my life. O like all my teachers and they really helpful in every aspect. School is extremely help in various way. So for me there is nothing worst about my school. I LOVE MY SCHOOL.
My school is a local, smaller campus. The staff is helpful, caring, and make you feel completely comfortable. NCTC is affordable and at the same time your getting great quality for your money. Truely a great education is here for anyone and everyone. The nursing program is one of the best in the state. Luckily for me... I was recently accepted into this great program. There is more to this school than 100 words give credit to. I truely wouldn't attend anywhere else.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
A person that should not attend this college would be someone that does not want to learn. North Central Texas College provides an environment that encourages learning. There are many opportunities that they provide for students that will help them learn. The instructors are willing to help with students and most classes offer group tutoring sessions that provide a prime envorinment for students to get together and learn from each other. They also have a student success center that offers seminars for students to learn how to study and how to manage their time between classes and other everyday activities.
My classmates are really helpful. For ag group project, we all work together. If one eed help than another classmate is ready to help. My classmates treat all as a good friend. For any major exam, my classmates and me study together in quite place such as library so that we can concentrate on our study. To me classmates is like a family. We all live in class as brothers and sisters. Everyone has a different goal and sometimes classmates also help in achieving our goal. This is true thought that tuthful friend in each class room is our classmates.
Providing education to students like me, coming back after being gone from the education scene for a while. They offer a large selection of classes and settings in which to get your degree.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
North Central Texas College has helped me though every step in getting into college. Their tuition prices are reasonable for students who have to pay rent, and they do take that in to consideration which I reallly like.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I would have prepared myself mentally for the amount of time it takes to study and put effort into all my class. Basically, I just wished I would have trained myself to be a better studier during high school.
