Northeastern State University REVIEWS

What's your overall opinion of Northeastern State University?

My opinion on Northeastern State University is overall positive. They have been nothing but welcoming and making me feel like that is the university I belong at. I could not be more excited for what my future holds there and the many friendships I will create a long the way. NSU said it best “you belong here”.

I think that we are a great school for some careers and degrees, but there are some that are terrible. Look at our specialties, like education and optometry, before deciding to come here with a pre-planned degree in mind.

Jenna

I enjoyed my time at NSU. It was a very affordable choice for me to complete my basic education courses before I entered my allied health program at another university. The people are very kind and good to be around. I felt challenged in my courses and learned.

Jessica

Northeastern State University is a university where students can come together and be apart of a family. The school isn't too big but it also isn't too small. It is easy for everyone to know everyone, but still room to breathe. The instructors care about you and your success.

Justin

Overall, Northeastern State University is a very great college even for first-year Freshmen. Everyone is very welcoming and the professors are very nice and always there to help you. The campus security is excellent I always feel safe on campus no matter what time it is.

Patricia

Absolutely Love the professors

Linda J.

I hope I get accepted.

It is an wonderful four year campus with an downtown area that is easy to walk around. The campus is not huge like University of Oklahoma which I love because I feel like a person instead of an number. If you are not a fan of an huge campus but some place more comfortable, I suggest this campus. The professors and faculty are extremely supportive toward their students. The campus is welcoming to all genders and races. The college is extremely supportive for students who have disabilities or have low income. Students do not have to worry about how expensive the semesters because it is cost efficient. It is also because there are apartments and even houses near the campus if the option is not to live in the dorms. The campus have many clubs to join and different study abroad programs within the campus. Before came to this campus, I was afraid that I had to go to OU or OSU because I only heard about these colleges and I was even worried about the expenses even being lost within the campus. Once I saw this campus, it feels comfortable and not overwhelming. I feel at home, I really suggest enrolling this college.

Caitlin

i love everything about Northeastern State University! It is a very homey and welcoming atmosphere when I went on campus tours! I highly recommend others to tour the campus and apply to Northeastern if they want a college that is very welcoming and feels like a second home!

Jordyn

This school is my home, my family. I do not want to further my education anywhere else! The classes are small and very diverse. The professors are knowledgeable and laid back. They have challenged me and helped me recognize and alter my own bias. I plan to apply for my masters through Northeastern State University.

Jaci

It is small, but the campus is beautiful. The classes are overall interesting, though small. My professors have been helpful and knowledgeble. The food is excellent during the week, but leaves much to be desired on the weekends. The computer lab is open 24/7, which is convenient.

Brandilyn

I am a concurrent student at NSU and I have had great opportunities through their school. The professors are helpful and they interact with their students. The classes that I have taken were good and my professors made sure that everyone in the class was doing well.

Laure

I love this school i can always get help when needed. The school overall has a good vibe and they make us feel safe no matter what time of the day/night we go to the school. Teachers show they are compassionate about us learning and help keep us on track for success.

abby

The classes are small and quaint. Facilities are typically clean and secure. Better tours could be given and better descriptions on how and when to enroll could be created. Students are normally friendly and helpful with questions you may have about the campus.

For me, small class sizes and strong extral curricular activities werevery important. If was a way for me to keep my life balanced. Do not let a large enrollment number or strentgh of the football team make your decision for you, that life is not for everyone. It is important to surround yourself with people of similar interests and a hunger for personal growth.
