OCU invites prospects (especially athletes) on false premises by having preview days for prospective students. These days are filled with people and things that don't happen on a regular basis, they are simply a show. From the dining hall to Chapel, nothing is the norm on those days. As a student you are told we have to show our best face and lead them to believe this is the best place to be. If we don't and are part of any programs, there may be repercussions.
As you become a student you slowly begin to figure out that what you are paying for is not what you are getting. There are just a few professors that have their act together, but that's just a few. The remaining of the staff that you have to deal with throughout your time is very unprofessional and your lucky to graduate on time with their dysfunctional system. The staff simply does not care.
Do not be fooled by this school, you will come to regret every minute of it. Most of us just try to push hard and complete our degree as quick as we can to get out of here. b/c it is so miserable and mentally taxing day in and day out. Others move on and transfer.

Ohio Christian is a private Christian denomination affiliated with the Churches of Christ in the Christian Union. The campus is unique in the diversity of students, with one being the different cultural backgrounds of all the students. Even though diversity is large, the campus is rather small. A little over 3,000 students are enrolled and the student/teacher ratio is 11:1, which is absolutely incredible. Ohio Christian offers a more one-on-one approach in the classroom compared to a bigger college. I absolutely love the students, the professors, the faith-centered beliefs, and everything that comes with Ohio Christian.

I didn't learn much, it was too easy. I would not have spent my money towards it. I had 4.0 gpa and it was very elementary. I didn't feel challenged and it was all Christian based which left out room for questioning beliefs. I would not recommend it to others.

It’s a school worth attending. The online classes have the flexibility for someone that has to work their way through. It also alows you to get a little ahead and the other students and the staff are there to help. It can be a great way to learn if you can stay focused.

I really like my school, the other students, and facility. The coursework sparks great conversations about everyday life and religion. My professors are easily accessible to answer questions or clarify homework assignments or test grades. My classes are good and are directly related to my major.

A small, quiet campus conveniently located just outside Circleville, Ohio. Right now the campus is growing rapidly with new buildings and improvements being made. OCU is a great school especially for those who want to make an impact on the world as a born again Christian.

Ohio Christian University is an awesome college! They are very obviously Christ-centered. I could tell that even before I talked to someone when I went for my campus visit because of the scripture verses on the bathroom walls. Everyone is very helpful and informative at the different departments of the college. The cafeteria had a great variety of different foods which were yummy! I greatly recommend Ohio Christian University for sure!

I am an upcoming freshman at OCU and I think it is a great school not only for academics, but to build relationships and to strengthen your faith. I have only been on the campus a few times to visit OCU and every time I feel like I belong. Not only is OCU such a great school, but the town of Circleville as well. Even the mayor of Circleville had sent me a letter welcoming me to the town months before I attend. Going to OCU, I will always know they will help me succeed in every aspect of my education, social and spiritual part of my life.

Ohio Christian University has excellent professors they care about you and your needs and seek to help you out in anyway they can. We have the nicest lunch ladies around! It is a good Christian school so you can't do a lot of stuff on this campus as you could on the other campus. It's fun when you find the right people.

Ohio Christian University is a wonderful school. If you are looking for a real Christian based school then please apply here. The classes are small and instructors are amazing. They offer you so much help as you are obtaining your degree. We have devotional and we pray together. It is a wonderful feeling to be a part of a school that you actually count and matter. I can’t say enough great things about this school. It is absolutely amazing.

This school was amazing or at least appeared that way. I kind of have mixed feelings for it since I couldn't attend a whole year due to financial troubles. If I can somehow pay these off I wouldn't mind to at least attempt to go back to the college to learn

I honestly really love it. The professors not only genuinely care about your grades but also your faith, The campus is small but very beautiful and homey. And the people there are all so loving and caring, you honestly feel like you're apart of a family there. I've never felt like this wasn't where I belong.

I absolutely love this school. I have attended this school since 2012 when I obtained my associate's degree. The school is a Christian school that integrates biblical principles into its curriculum. I love the Lord, so this is critical to me. I intend on being a part of this great school until I get a Doctoral Degree.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I believe that the best advice I could give to myself, hind sight better than foresight, would be ; to not dilly-dally through this program or that program. As a Senior have a firm idea what you want to do with your college education and stick to it no matter how hard things get because, you may never get the chance again and time is to short to be wasted. Talk to college level couselors about degree decisions ,but, whatever you do don't try to go your road alone.
Ohio Christian University is committed to offering a complete education that develops students intellectually, professionally, and spiritually. OCU offers degree programs for traditional undergraduate students, graduate students, and adult and online students. Additionally, the Trailblazer Academy allows high school students to complete college classes. All programs are designed to equip students to become leaders in their careers, communities, families, and the world.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
An individual who is seeking Fine Arts training will not benefit from the offerings of Ohio Christian University. The type of education that is offered is not for this type of individual.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The AIM Program for alduts is once a week for 5 weeks. By doing this I feel that classes which are four hours long and one class at a time tends to take a lot longer to complete a degree than a normal college or university.
