The worst thing about Ohio State is having to walk to class during the winter! It gets pretty cold during the winter and sometimes you have atleast a 10 minute walk between classes or more

It seems like everything costs money, a lot of money. Even having extra financial aid sent back to me after my fees are paid costs me quite a bit of money. I've been commuting by car for the past month or so, and eating lunch on campus every other day, and it has taken a lot more out of my bank account than I even realized. If I had a parking pass it would be better, but as a commuter I can only have certain priveleges, and so it's in my best interest to keep paying every day.

There is a huge social community in and around The Ohio State University. It is easy to get caught up in the social aspect of the school and to slack on your work.

The worst thing about The Ohio State University is the homeless people on the streets and the feeling of being unsafe walking around at night. I have heard many stories of people being mugged, houses being broken into and even people being shot. That is the one thing I hate about Ohio State, other than that I love the school!

The tornado alarm that goes off every Wednesday at noon. It's loud and annoying.

The expense to out of state students.

It is very big, but they work it out well and break them down.

In the science programs, the professors are there for research. Therefore, they are not good teachers. Not only have they not been trained in teaching, but they are also disinterested in it so the lectures are unproductive and then you can not meet with the professors outside of class time. Instead, grad students "teach" the classes and hold office hours. Typically they are not in line with the professors.

There is a lot of focus on the sports teams-it took me a while to find my niche, which is more in the art world. Another thing is sometimes you feel lost in the numbers with advising and such because they deal with so many kids.

I dont like how beacuse it is so big there is not a lot of flexibility on schedueling classes, or how most classes are lecture style with more than 100 students for GEC's

The humidity in the spring. I love everything about this school, with the exception of the out-of-state tuition and the humidity.

I feel the worse thing is the size. It is just so big, with so many people. I am from a small city, with lots of open area and not too many people. Being in the city with all those people is out of my comfert zone.

The price of tution is going up and the amount of financial aid people are recieving does not match so students are either having to go part time or take time just to pay for their education.

The way they handle finances and give students the run around. They should consider taking a payment plan for those of us students who do not receive financial aid.

Some classes were repetitive and teachers were too afraid to fail students. The material seemed to be geared more to the slower learners in some classes than those who were advanced. This varies class to class however.
