Compared to the other Rutgers campuses, I truly think Camden tops because they just have everything I was looking for in a school. While they may not be the best, I am happy I chose the school. I would say the other students and faculty are what makes the school because they give that welcoming feeling.

This is a research school. This means that the professors (at least in my experience) care more about, or are better at, their research than actually teaching the students. I'm transferring because they don't have my major that I switched to, which is education. For such a "prestigious" school it baffles me that they don't have one, but I never really felt at home there so it doesn't bother me too much. It's a small campus, and the people are friendly for the most part, but there isn't that feeling that you're attending college. It kind of just feels like various buildings you walk into to learn. Then again, I was a commuter student so this also factors into it. Since it's in one of the most dangerous cities in America, you have to be careful. It's in a safe area of Camden, but still. There used to be a methadone clinic that they moved, so walking in City Hall during the AM was kind of scary. Even though it's a commuter school, they severely lack housing to the point that it's basically a competition to see who can get in first. There's a student that travels from Delaware, and I know someone who traveled from North Jersey every day because they couldn't get housing. That's ridiculous. Oh, and don't even get me started on the food situation. They changed the dining hall situation, when it was perfectly fine before. The food was good, a little pricey, but good. They tried to make it better and instead made it worse. The students have complained, but Rutgers rarely listens to us. All in all, I think that it's a school that only cares about money and not enough about its faculty and students.

Rutgers University-Camden is an amazing institution. The professors, students, and faculty are always present to help and genuinely like to see the students succeed. This campus is filled with organizations and resources for students to use. As a student, you will never feel alone. There is always someone there to help or simply cheer you on!

It is a smaller campus than most, but I actually like the knit feeling it brings. There is a Starbucks in the campus center, which is always a plus for those of us that get up bright and early. A few buildings require an ID to be flashed at the security guards which makes me feel safer. Another pro about this school is that the grading system does not include minuses, so it is very easy to get a good GPA. The only con here for me is parking. First of all, it is overpriced. And second, the parking lots are a little far from the main campus and the shuttles that come to the lots take too long and often cannot accommodate everyone in need of a ride, especially during bad weather,

I go to a satellite campus in Mays Landing which is forty minutes away from the actual Camden campus. We do not get enough resources at our small campuses. I would love to be involved in campus activities but I am so far away. They do not think about every student, only those who live on campus which is upsetting. They only offer the good classes at their actual campus even though we pay the same amount no matter what campus we go to. I wish they cared about every student, but they only care about those who are from their exact campus.

I love it, I am a commuter and monday thru Friday it’s a home away from home. I met my best friends here and wether you live here or commute you feel welcomed and involved. It’s a quaint little campus and definitely exceeds expectations as far as the campus appearance, the students, the professors, the education, the activities etc.

I love attending Rutgers University Camden. When I first started, I was a tennis player there . The coach was great I met amazing friends. However, it was too much commitment with my classwork load, my internship and my job. My second year, which is the year I am in now I joined the sorority delta phi epsilon and I met my best friends here. They are my sisters for life. There are so many opportunities at Rutgers Camden and I am so glad I chose this University.

The campus is very nice it has a positive atmosphere and overall I love it. The professors are always there to help within their office hours and even without the office hours. They are there to always respond to my emails of concern and help me. The faculty is amazing and I was even offered a job there which I am very enthusiastic about.

Rutgers Camden is a great school for any student. I transferred to Rutgers Camden back in 2016 and it was the best decision I ever made. I was able to meet interesting people, I was able to connect with my professor, and I was introduced to numerous of activities and career opportunities. I would highly recommend Rutgers Camden to any high school student or someone who is looking to go back to college.

Good teachers, not much social life or school spirit though. It is a cheap alternative if you live in-state, a real bang for your buck. The best part is that the campus is small enough so that you wont have to walk more than 5 minutes to get from class to class.

Rutgers University-Camden is such a great campus to live on and to pursue an education. Honestly, Living there for 5-weeks (Summer Bridge Program), it has been a great experience so far and it is living up to its potential. This campus provides so much to their students and facility that it will be dumb not to take their offers! I am proud to say that I am attending Rutgers University-Camden and will pursue my education and life to it.

Rutgers Camden is one of the smallest campus in all of the three campus in Rutgers. It’s very nice campus and there is a lot of people who could help if you want help. Professors are not strict or tough with the students. They are here for you so could they help you in whatever you need. I highly recommend going to Rutgers Camden.

It is a school which encourages diversity, intellectuals, and culture. They need to improve on campus housing and how it is run. Most everything else works well, students are positively influenced by the various ethnic programs Rutgers has to offer. There is no shortage of good food off campus.

This is a wonder college to go to in order to pursue my career. Attending Rutgers Nursing School will be an eye opener for me and a head start to my career choose. The professors are wonderful and are willing to get to know their students. Class sizes are not too bad based on the major one chooses to take. But Rutgers University-Camden is a very diverse welcoming and safe environment that everyone should want to be.

If not, if you have a GPA of 3.5 and show academic excellence, you may qualify. It is really competitive and requires full attention toward academics.
