What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself to relax some. I would never change anything that has happened along this rollercoaster that is called my life since graduating but I would not allow myself to worry so much. Throughout my high school career and my first few years of high school I worried about everything. Many were stupid things as in if people liked me, were people talking about me, would I fit in, would I have to talk in front of these people that may or may not like me. It took many years and many experiences to understand that it does not matter. Getting an education matters, being a decent person matters and attempting to make a different in the world matters. Being concerned about people liking me or fitting in are not important because not everyone is always going to like me, no matter how hard I try, and nobody always fits in in every situation. I wish I would have known this much earlier in life and I could have just been me, truly and entirely, and been able to enjoy a normal college experience instead of torturing myself with doubt for such a long time.

Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
The school at which i attend is small yet big enough to be considered a university. It is close enough to home but yet far enough away for me to focus on my life and my career ahead, is very much loacted in a snow globe on top of a mountain, winter here can be unbareable yet extremely beautiful, like our quote..."its just different up here."

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I had known how much drinking goes on. I am not a drinker, and as a result I tend to spend a lot of time in my room on the weekends. Had I known there was so much partying, I may have seriously considered another school.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The Fine Arts are horribly nelected and nearly non-existant. There are a few are courses available, but that is the extent of it. Sure there is chorus, and a theater program, and lessons for voice or an instrument are offered, but thats about it. The theater club is small and doesn't do musicals and there are no actual theater classes. There are really no dance classes at all! There is a club, but that is student run. Plus there are never any reallly interesting classes offered. Nothing exciting or different. And for someone artsy like me, it sucks.

What kind of person should not attend this school?
I would not be happy here if I was not a member of the soccer team simply because there isn't very much to do and that keeps me busy. I would not recommend coming to Saint Francis University if you are a "city" person because it is in the middle of nowhere and you are partially responsible to create your own fun.

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The winters are hard on campus. There is ice everywhere and the grounds people don't always get all the spots that are the worst. It is truely a safety hazard and very frustrating when they don't even leave a bucket of salt out just incase they didn't get to a dorm yet. It is not a very large campus and with as many workers as the university says it has, the campus should always be de-iced before most students get up (earliest classes start at 8 am).
