The opportunities to obtain a Bachelors of Fine Arts on the track of Graphic Design, while being offered a spot into the honors college is eye opening. Also, the student life opportunities are endless from typical Greek life options to school wide activities such as Student Organized Activity Planning or SOAP helps provide easy, convenient and cost efficient ways to network amongst your
peers.

Salisbury has been my home for the past semester, and I wouldn't change that for anything. Salisbury, while it has its faults, offers great opportunities for students to grow has both learners and people as well as obtain scholarships and indulge in interests that may not be offered at other schools. I, for example, had a really hard time finding my major at other schools because of how specific and seemingly high level it is but Salisbury offers Astrophysics as well as other subsets of physics like Coastal Engineering and even a general Engineering track that allows students to spend 3 years at Salisbury and then transfer to a Maryland Public University to complete their degree. Salisbury offers a lot of opportunities for students, but the university could do better at promoting these opportunities and making them for widely known,

My overall opinion of Salisbury University is that it is a fun place to get to know people, but sometimes people let going out get in the way of academics. I still was able to stay on top of my studies, but if you get distracted or FOMO this might not be the school for you!

I think Salisbury has the potential to be an even better school than it is. The campus is great and our sports teams are all very good. But there just is not any school spirit and without that it takes away the feeling of being at a great school. The teachers are okay, but so far I haven't had a single one that I can say I look up to or really enjoyed their class. Before Salisbury I attended Anne Arundel Community College and I can truly say my professors were amazing, upbeat, and really cared about what they were teaching and their students. Salisbury University has about 9,000 and Anne Arundel is said to have about 50,000, so why is the communication much better there? But the campus itself is gorgeous and we are only 40 minutes from the beach, what is lacking is the academic side and the school spirit.

Salisbury is known for its strong academic programs and vibrant campus life. The university offers a wide range of majors and has dedicated the faculty who are passionate about teaching and supporting their students. One of the things that makes Salisbury special is its sense
of community. The campus has a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in clubs, organizations, and events. It's a place where you can truly feel like you belong. Overall, Salisbury offers a well-rounded college experience. Whether you're looking for academic excellence, a vibrant social scene, or a supportive community. Salisbury has it all

The local area is boring and theres not much to do in the area. The campus is also not very diverse, it is mostly white people. The food is decent and there are many options, but not all places are open late which sucks. Freshman parking is half a mile away from campus.

it's an outstanding educational institution! I have selected SSU and will be a freshman for the 2023-2024 school year. This scholarship will help me to achieve my goals by being the first in my family to attend college. I plan to be involved in several campus activities but will decide when arrive. I was diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic in 2013 at the age of 8. Being insulin dependent is very costly. It is incredibly expensive to stay alive by purchasing insulin, insulin pump, pump supplies, and continuous glucose monitor supplies. Having this scholarship will very much help me with tuition, books, and my medical costs. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide. It has been my life-long goal to be a Seagull. I am very committed to working out and hope to be able to inspire other Type 1 diabetics that you can live a great life by taking care of yourself. I plan to major in the fitness field in some capacity. Thank you for your consideration.

I Salisbury University is a great small sized school for a well rounded college experience. I like that they have a Greek life as I would like to experience sorority life. Even though I’ve not met a professor they respond well to emails and questions.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell my high school self to be a little more patient and enjoy life a little more. I was so determined to move out, go to school, and do everything at once, that I forgot to enjoy the everyday things. Without balance in my life, I ended up getting discouraged very easily when things wouldn't work out perfectly. I was also so busy that I missed out on other opportunities to enjoy friends before everyone moved, spend more time with my family, and the extras that high school offered. I feel that balance becomes even more important when you go to college. Some of the best experiences I have had in college were because I finally allowed myself to enjoy the little things, and to go out and have some fun! As a result, I have life long friends, more confidence, and some pretty funny stories that make me the life of the party, benefit, or even business meetings. So to my high school self; Have patience, and enjoy life as it comes! It makes the future you're working towards more rewarding.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
My school has a very nice looking campus and many resources to help students succeed, including a writing center, teacher office hours, SI classes, tutors, and other online resources. They also have a job and internship fair twice a week with resume building to help students reach out and find a job or internship opportunity. Salisbury offers "Coffee with a Teacher" cards to help students invite their professors to get a drink and get to know their professor or ask for help in a class. The staff and professors encourage the students to do well and care about the students.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
This past January Salisbury University raised tuition for the spring semester $62 dollars after many students had already paid for it. This may seem like a small amount, however it is frustrating not only because it came after many had paid, but also because this tuition increase was due to a budget miscalculation. It escapes me how the school's budget committee made such a mistake as to necessitate charging each student $62.
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
Although I'm not part of one, I know that fraternities and sororities are rather popular. I attend CRU, which is like a youth group for college kids. There's always about 100 people at meetings.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
85% of students attending Salisbury University receive some sort of financial aid.
21% were awarded federal grants.54%received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
