Overall a great school to grow as a person and learn who you really are. Being able to grow spiritually, and teachers always being by your side to help you along the way. That students are great and are honest and good, the sense of community is more than imaginable, every time you compete in a sport it feels like the whole town has your back.

Sterling College-Sterling is a great college within a great Christian environment. I took a planned athletic recruiting visit to the college and loved what I experienced. There was a great selection of food in the cafeteria, dorm rooms are basic but do have a common living space on each floor where you can cook, microwave, relax and watch television. I rank this college a 4 of 5 stars. I decided to attend Sterling College.

I really like the campus. It is really nice. the only problem is when it rains the sidewalks sometimes get swamped. Almost all the classes are within easy walking distance. The facilities are kept clean and the staff is nice. The professors can be accessed through their office hours or email. The food in the cafeteria is good. There are two options that change daily plus pizza, hamburgers, and a sandwich and salad bar.

I love Sterling! Class sizes are small and personal and the professors are very supportive. Also, a large number of students are athletes and we are all so supportive of each other. Teachers are also very understanding when it comes to missing class for sports. There are many different clubs as well. We also have an amazing art program that is very involved. Sterling is a close-knit community where everybody knows everybody.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I was never actually a senior in highschool; I graduated at the age of sixteen through homeschooling. If I could go back in time to talk to myself while I was still in highschool, I would tell myself to rededicated my time and efforts into learning as much as I can. Even though I have always been a dedicated student, college is not as easy as highschool was. There is a lot more homework and classwork and projects and essays and material I will not understand until I have read it till my eyes hurt. I would tell myself to always perservere and never let myself quit so I wouldn't just keep quitting when stuff got too hard. Lastly, if I could go back in time and talk to myself, I would assure myself that I can do it and tell me to always give it 110{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c}.

  4. Describe the students at your school.

I would describe my classmates as being individuals who understand the value of knowledge, and acquire to be more than the average person in life. Not only do they desire to attain more, but also are individuals who stay on task of what is needed to be learned and inquire into whatever is being learned to further their understanding of it. THis would be my view of my classmates and how I further motivated to become a student such as this.

  5. What's unique about your campus?

The one thing that I think is best about my school is the college community. Everyone on campus knows everyone else. The campus community feels like a family. Let's say if someone got in trouble on campus, everyone else knows about it by the end of the day. Being on campus with 899 other students there iis a good chance of making new friends right away.

  6. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

Right now our president is trying to cram to many people into the dorms as possible and jacking tuition up so that he can build a new baseball/softball complexes, but while he does this the quality of our experiance is going down. Due to over crowding of the doors and parking on campus.

  10. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

The school is in the middle of no where. The students make up more than half of the population of the town. We have to drive 40 miles just to get better food quality and fun.

  11. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish I had known that attending a university would be very expensive and it is not as easy as high school was.

  12. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

nothing really. There is truly nothing to brag about. It is a small town the athletic facilites are poor. I don't think the "stadium" can even be considered an attraction. It is quite embarrassing that a junior high stadium is bigger than the college stadium. The food is poor. We pay 22 thousand a year. The price of tuition raises every year. I wonder sometimes where the money goes, because we have nothing. Someone should really investigate this school. I am not returning the next semster. worst college experience ever.
