This is my Family School; I will be following in the footsteps of some of the greatness in my family. They are Teacher, Doctors and Medical Fields in my family. My family grew up in Tyler and it has always been a dream to walk the same paths as my ancestors.

Texas college is the worst school to attend. The school is very unprofessional and very disorganized, there are very few adults who even care ab the students. On campus housing is terrible, Coach Marco Mthembu is the worst coach I’ve ever had by far. TC isn’t strict on much, they honestly don’t care, this also includes strictness on academics, SEXUAL ASSULTS, athletics and many others. TC is not a school I would recommend even to my worst enemy. Save your time, effort and money and literally go ANYWHERE ELSE.

Texas College is a small school, but it allows you to start somewhere small and get the feeling of the college life is, so that way if you decide to ever so somewhere bigger you will be prepared. My school is about being an family here, that's why he encourage everyone here to join in the activities that are hosted here at the campus. That could be showing up to the volleyball games , football games, or even participating in the actives that our Greek people have set up for us. The staff here at Texas College encourages us all to be engaged in our school and want us to have an thrilling experience.

My overall opinion about Texas College is that it’s a great school. There all always different extracurricular activities going on around campus and sometimes the alumni’s always come back to participate and help out. Furthermore this college helps others decide what they would want to be or become when they graduate. I would encourage others to come join our great college and be active.

I think texas college is a great school but sometimes can be too strict on there student's i feel like if we a little more freedom. Not saying just letting us go wild but let us feel more like grown ups. The WiFi in this school could also be a bit better .

I personally think that Texas college is a really good school but they can also work on a few things with dorm life and campus activities plus with the teachers putting in work so that we can have a grade in class and also with the school WiFi sometimes we cant even use our own personal laptops since the service isn't that great but overall this school is great.

Texas College is home.
The journey to find the right college was a trying one. I started out my sophomore year of high school with a list of eleven colleges all over . Over the next two years, I would cut that list in half, then down again to the final five that I would eventually apply to. I never actually visited any of the colleges on the list except for one. Texas College hosted an event. I was welcomed from the moment that I stepped on campus, and I knew from that day forward that I had found my next home. There was no need to see any more colleges because I had found what I was looking for. Here are just a few reasons why I love Texas College . On Texas College campus there is beauty everywhere. From the front lawn to the beauty. But texas college beauty goes beyond it’s campus. Texas College exemplifies beauty all of the people call Texas college home. The college shows each individual that they are beautiful in their own way. That is the most important kind of beauty that my school provides provides. At most colleges professors see only numbers. They have seven classes a week of two hundred students each. But my school is different. The small class sizes of fifteen to twenty students enable professors to truly care about their students.Professors see a face, a name, and a whole person; not just a number. Before I came to school I was just another student in high school. Sure I was successful, I got good grades and lead a few clubs, but I wasn’t anything special. But when I came to Texas College , I was shown that I can be special. That I am unique. I am not just another number or another ordinary student. I can become completely and totally my truest self here and no one will judge me. They will instead lift me up and make me feel good about myself. They will encourage me to continue being me and only me.Texas College is the place to go if you need a second chance. Or maybe you never took the first one and you want to know where to start. Every student that comes here has a dream. I know I did. And here every student is given their best chance. The opportunity to be the best you that you can be. No matter how long you leave this place Texas College will always welcome you back with open arms.

The college is very small but that is a great thing because the professors know you by name and will work with you to get what you need to get to make sure you will be able to do whatever it is you want to do with your life. There are many ways to get help also if you fall behind on your work.

I think overall it is a good College. The fees are a lot more than most colleges with not as many amenities. The night program they have is very neat but I don't feel like it gives th night students as much opportunity to join or attend college groups or activities and doesn't provide them as much info but they pay as much or more than other traditional students.

Texas College could be way better if they listened to the student's ideas to improve the school. The band doesn't even travel to away games or anywhere really. That's where they're losing students. Their cafeteria food is also terrible. The pictures they have of the food is very misleading.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Texas College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Omg! If I could go back in time and start over with my education it would be so different. I would get more into my books than parties. As a freshman in this college you have to focus on your work. There are different functions going on and if you are not careful you will get caught up in the fun. Don't get me wrong, you can pull it off. The problem is that you have the opportunity at this college to graduate early if you take a few extra classes. Now if you are not partying all the time you can get it done. I didn't though, I was so into the games and activities that it has taken me the normal four years. Take some advice from a senior now, do your work first and have fun later, it will pay off in the end. The classes are not hard at all, you just have to focus and participate. College is about finding yourself as well as working hard to achieve your goals. Remember to study before fun, and there won't be any last minute surprises when it is finally time to graduate!
The best thing about my college is the professional teachers and staff that are here to help the students graduate. This College is not about keeping you in school forever to make money, they are here to educate you in your particular major so that you can graduate. The other thing I love about this school is that they help you financially to pay for school. Student that can’t afford to pay for school out of your pocket they always make a way to help you find scholarships and grants to pay your tuition for that year.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
How small the campus is. You get to see the same faces everyday. Maybe if our campus was more laid back it would make it better. What i mean by this is loosen up on some of the rules and let us conduct ourselfs as the grown young men and women that we are.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
If you are not a people person or don't work well with others, this is not the school for you. I have found that a lot of the assignments are done in groups. You need to be able to work well with others.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
