What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
The main advice I would give myself is ITS OKAY TO NOT KNOW! College is a time of learning who you are as a person in society. It is okay to change majors and explore new opportunities. It is okay to not know what you want to major in straight out of high school. It is okay to be unsure about what direction you want to take. It is all okay. College is about finding out who you really are. It is about learning how to truly develop well-rounded skills to use in all aspects of your life. So many high school seniors worry about their future; I certainly know I did. If I could tell myself anything that resonates more clearly now as a young professional than it ever did before, it is that everything will be okay. I promise.

What's unique about your campus?
The professors. They are always so willing to help you and reach out to you. They really do care. I've been to my professor's house, and the president of the college's house. We've had academic discussions and pointless banter. You never feel inferior or left out. They are people and they want you to know that and they want you to feel like a person too.

What kind of person should not attend this school?
Those who need big cities, a large variety of restaurants or bars, and significant social involvement outside the school might not feel comfortable at Wooster. Some students who need contact with the great outdoors may also feel constrained here. There are no mountains on the horizon; students from the western states may have trouble with this. The "mountains" of West Virginia and Kentucky aren't the same as those in Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

One who wants to explore the reaches of the earth in a variety of fun, unique, and interesting classes and evolve into a well-rounded young adult with wonderful critical thinking skills. What are the academics like at your school?
Wooster's Independent Study (IS), where you take a year and work on a self-directed project in your area of study, is still one of the most impactful events of my life. It taught me that I can do anything I put my mind to and the one-to-one interaction with my faculty advisor was superb.
Wooster prepares you for the future, but if you want to go on to a top graduate school, e.g., Stanford, Harvard, etc., a Wooster education is highly respected.

What are the most popular student activities/groups?
Wooster is not in a big city so you don't have the party atmosphere that you'll find at Pitt, WVU, Ohio State, which is good (or bad if you like that atmosphere). Even so, there is lots to do and a great social circle at Wooster.
Lots of students leave their door rooms open and the housing facilities encourage interaction.
