I have 4 siblings who have attended the college and as someone who wishes to become a teacher the education program sticks out to me. They offer field experience from year one, allowing me to be work in a classroom and make a difference quickly. The teachers know you by name and are extremely kind and helpful.

The University of Findlay is a good college for students to attend. The Pre-Veterinary, Animal Science, and Equestrian majors are the most popular from what I have noticed when interacting with fellow students. There are plenty of opportunities to get gear from different groups on campus through events they host, and there are also multiple chances for students to apply for on-campus jobs. I have occasionally heard through other students that some classes are really hard and they don't understand some the course material due to that. While I haven't had many scenarios like that, in one class, the professor thinks every student, including myself, is going to be an intervention specialist or teaching middle school or high school when only one grad students is an intervention specialist and all of the undergrad students, like myself, are all wanting to teach elementary school students (preschool through fifth grade). And the cost of attending is super high, even though UF is a private college. And taking summer classes is also something students have to do if they don't pass a class the first time or if they have classes they are required to take but never got to take due to different things, such as not passing the class when it was first being taken, the classes not being put into a set schedule for the student, or it not being brought up in the first place. Overall,

The school is nice. If you want a more small school with plenty of clubs and small classes, this is perfect for you. Depending on your major, your professors might be a little challenging. I can only speak on the Chemistry and Biology professors but every school is going to have professors that you won't like. The food is mediocre. Some really good food and some that you would probably want to avoid but there are always multiple options throughout the week. If you live on campus you are never more than 1/2 a mile away from a class, gym, or food. Derrick Dollars can go multiple places. Make sure you stand up for yourself and communicate with the professors. Make sure they know you. The more they know (positively) the more they will be willing to help you out and be more understanding. If you are coming to this university with the plan to figure out what you want to do in the future, you found your place. All professors and advisors no matter what you currently are studying will always being willing to talk to you and help.... as long as you made the appointment and be vocal about how you feel. The staff will push you aside and forget about you if you don't fight for their attention. Overall, not a bad school with a degree in animal science, you will have an accredited degree. Multiple people have made it into OSU Vet School through UF whereas others schools haven't. If you don't know what you want to do, don't come here. If you know what you want to do and will change your mind, do it sooner rather than later because you will find yourself with a bachelors degree with 7 years of schooling. Like mentioned, fight for yourself because they won't. Some staff are absolutely amazing and will do the absolute best to fight for you and your needs. Others won't.

I believe I will like being a member of the University of Findlay. I have met my roommate and am very excited to start the new chapter of my life. Everyone that I have met so far on campus has been a huge help and I I have liked meeting each and everyone of them. I will enjoy being a freshman this year on campus. The campus is clean and looks well kept. I'm excited to join the Oiler family.

It is a smaller, but very welcoming campus environment. There is so many things to do and it is in a very cute, but small town. The dorms are decent, but most of them have communal bathrooms. Very well taught, hands on, learning and so many resources.

The University of Findlay defiantly is not for everyone. It is small and there is not a lot to do around the school so that forces people to get out of their shells and join campus life and make friends. The food from the dining hall is really hit or miss, the breakfast is very good but dinner is normally bland. The refinery is where you can use your campus dollars and I enjoy the variety that it offers. I like the University of Findlay because I like to have a small group of friends and a small class size, but I can see how that would be a negative aspect for some people.

The University of Findlay has an excellent Animal Science program and a well-planned and thought-out Pre-vet program. The University of Findlay is a very clean and safe campus with many friendly faces. The University also has gorgeous horse farms for both the English riders and the Western riders. The campus has built-in support systems whether it's for a student's mental health, physical health, or if they need help in a class. The staff and faculty are very nice and are always willing to help out.

The atmosphere and culture of the campus community is very supportive and welcoming. The professors, extracurriculars, sports, and hands-on learning, as well as the animal science barns, equestrian facilities, and athletic facilities, are excellent. Housing, especially the upperclassmen options, are good, and the campus is safe. The faculty and staff are friendly and accommodating, and want to help students succeed in all aspects of their time at Findlay, not just academically but also through personal growth.

It is a beautiful campus and just an all-around great place to be, and I can't wait to spend more time there in the fall. I felt extremely safe on the campus and felt it would be a great place to learn. I enjoyed the hands-on approach to my major.

The University of Findlay is an exceptional institution and I enjoy going to school here very much. The extracurriculars and sports on campus are a very big part of campus life and build the campus to be what it is. The professors are largely easy to work with and lead to a great learning experience.

The University of Findlay is an amazing place to be. The campus has a feeling of home and is a very safe place for us students to be. There are many resources on campus and in the town of Findlay that give many opportunities and things to do. I am glad I chose to go to college at the University of Findlay

I am truly blessed to be a party of the Oiler family. Everyone is awesome and I really feel like I belong there. The faculty is always accessible and I feel very safe when on campus. I can’t wait to continue my career at UF! I did not have a top choice when applying to colleges, but when Findlay sent me my acceptance letter and a week later visited, I knew right away I had to go here.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself to start looking at colleges because I waited too long to decide and choose.
The quality of person that the University of Findlay requires, at least in the Psychology/Philosophy departments, must possess an open mind and a willingness to explore the beliefs of others. The person should be community-oriented and willing to offer their time. A deep commitment must be made in the classroom as well as a hardened character, or ability to break free from comfort zones and explore the world of relationships, opportunities, and experiences that Findlay has to offer.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
What I love about the University of FIndlay is that it has a small school feel but I see a new person everyday on campus. I like not just being a "face" in my classes and having personal relationships with my professors. That is important to me.
I think the best thing about my school is the people here are all very friendly and helpful, I have made alot of friends from all over the country and am having alot of fun!
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about my school is the very high cost. It's very difficult for the average student to find funds to attend a private university like The University of Findlay. Luckily, they offer scholarships for academic acheivement and individual talent.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
My major is not one of the big ones at this school, so my education is not as good as it could be in a location that was more supportive of my major. Also, the campus is not very exciting and filled with culture, so I always find myself comparing it to life in the city where there is much more diversity and individualism to be found.
