I have loved my time at Three Rivers Community College. I have had the resources to do exceptionally well and enjoyed my time there along the way. The professors care for the students and want to see them succeed. I would recommend this community college to people looking to further their education in a place that has a good community and academics.

Three Rivers Community College is a safe place for people of all ages to go to and start their future for little to no price at all. The classes are small which allows students to have a better relationship with any of their professors and leads them to getting them the help they deserve.

It would get a 5 star rating if professors answered their emails and were more helpful with online classes. Currently I have a professor who doesn't answer emails and its very frustrating being all online and not being able to contact anyone. Other teachers and advisers try to help when these situations get out of hand.

In my opinion, the school is good, but it could be better if there were more types of clubs to join that were more artistic in nature. A choral group club, for example, would, in my opinion make this school more enjoyable. Also: there should be better vegetarian options at the cafeteria. the lettuce is not always good.

I'm enrolled online and some classes and amazing. Some of them are truly dreadful. I need to save money so I'm take my A.S. in general studies through them. It's the cheapest option out there. The online classes are a great selection. I gave nothing to compare it to.

I am very satisfied with Three Rivers. Everyone has been ver helpful in getting me any information I have needed. The advisors provide resources to help with material. The professors are always available to assist with help or to listen to concerns or provide advise. The campus is easy to access and find the classrooms. The college offers many extra activities and groups for everyone. The classroom settings is a good size, so everyone can benefit from the classroom lecture. Overall this college has been a great place to obtain my degree. They have helped me prepare my classes to transfer after obtaining my associate degree.

Great place to start. The campus is small and there are faculty everywhere. Security included. If you have questions there is always someone there that can answer your questions. If you live in the area and aren't ready to take on a large university, I recommend TRCC. The class size is small and the professors are fair. Only problem I have run into are the science/math professors are too smart for their own good. They can't break the information down to an academic level. However, I know this to be true of many science/math professors in different universities, it is the nature of the science world.

Three Rivers Community College is a commuter college so some of the responses are based the general life or living close to the college. So that being said I have been going to Three Rivers Community College for over 2 years now and have not found a substantial problem, or even an inconvenience that would change my opinion about the school. I would recommend this college to my best friend, cousin and even parent!

Three Rivers is known for ripping off the students in the small schools around it. Most people go here because they can't afford anywhere else. I wish that I was going somewhere else and I haven't even started my classes yet. I need scholarships to get me out of here.

It’s a quiet place to go. If some of the things have 1 star it’s because we don’t have them. This is a school to just go to for school. Everyone is a different age so there are not really out of school activities or housing or food. I don’t think it is a bad place to go especially if you do not know what you want to be yet.

When I decided I was going to attend Three Rivers, I was not excited about it. However, I have not even finished my first semester and I am so glad I came to Three Rivers. I am saving tons of money and still getting a great education. I am able to take classes that I enjoy and it still counts towards my major. I have met amazing people and the staff is great. I made the right decision by coming to Three Rivers.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I could go back to my senior year of high school, assuming I know what I would know as a college freshman, I would have taken it more aggressively. I allowed myself to be manipulated into attending school in a location that was not my first pick. Given the choice 'if it does not work out, you can always transfer., but that is easier said then done. I attended school in Boston for a semester, but had Florida as a first choice. I am now back at home, because Boston did not work out. I am trying to get my priorities together so I can continue my major down in Florida, a location I know will make me happier. Though it will take time, it will be worth it. Saving money is a big thing for me to do right now so I can get to where I wish to be, to achieve my goal in a state of happiness.
Although I have not begun attending class, from the registration process I see my classmates as regular people. Teens right out of high school, not exactly sure where they want to go, or just do no have the money to do so. And even adults of any age returning to school to finish what they may or may not have started. It is a school open to any body that is willing to receive an education.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
I selected my school because at the time it was the only school where I lived that I know of that was offering a Photonics Engineering degree. This was in 2004 and the degree name has changed since then. I decided to return to the same college that I started. Not only because of the familiarity I had with it , but also because the campus and school itself have been completly renovated. With all the new equipmnet and teachers availble to me I am finding it easier to reaquaint myself with my field of study.
people who want to save money and then transpher to a 4 year college or even people who just want to get some school to help them prepare for the job they want.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
If you are a person who is looking to get away from home and have the "dorm" lifestyle and /or join a fraternity or sorority then you wouldn't enjoy Three Rivers. If you also are looking for the partying aspect of college then the school isn't for you.
The best thing about Three Rivers Community College is that all of the Professors are very approchable. I've only had four professors so far however i enjoyed each class because they made it easy to understand and allowed themselves to be reached after class. If i needed extra help i was able to contact them very easily and they would be ready to help me at almost any time. It was extremely convienant for a student who was in his first semester in college.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about my school i would have to say is the parking lot and parking. There are certian areas designated to staff than others to students and you dont know which is which. If you park in staff you get a ticket stuck to your car window. Than parking lot construction is still going on a bit so spots are limited, otherwise you park way out in the back or off to the sides. Its also very twisted and turned so inconvenient.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I brag to my friends about the fact that you get a quality education without paying the absurd amounts that most people pay. Since it is a two year college we do not have to pay room and board which saves us money since we live in apartments or at home. We do however pay certian fees that aren't near what other colleges charge.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
