I've gotten the experience I've needed in the "real world" to grow and mature in my own way, away from my parents (but still close enough to visit and get the reassurance and advice I need). The classes are rewarding, albeit the few that bore the students to tears, and the educational experience is gratifying. I've bloomed both intellectually and socially in my time here; I used to be unsocial and meek, now I flourish in the presence of people; I used to slack off in high school, since hte material was easy, but now I pay attention and have to work harder to reach my goals. It's been a very valuable experience.

The University of Arizona has been the most amazing experience a college could offer. I learned the value of persistence, hard work, and an outgoing nature. In a society with tremendous healthcare challenges and so many budget-cuts to programs many times I was turned down from the College of Nursing. However, my persistence was clear, as my acceptance was official after my fourth time applying, and I was not willing to give up on my dream! This school has also provided many opportunities to improve myself. I am a leader and enjoy taking on character-building positions. I volunteered with an organization that provides troops with medical supplies. I shadow a nurse at the UMC, and volunteered with “Ride On,” an equine-therapy for children. In addition, I am a full-time student, working to pay for University tuition. I took the steps necessary to strengthen my GPA and prepare myself for nursing-school by receiving Dean’s Honorable Mention with academic-distinction.Thanks to this University I have experienced invaluable life lessons that will assist my journey towards becoming a nurse. As a wildcat-nursing student, I will continue to diligently strive for success in reaching my goals!

My experience at community college was beyond beneficial. When I grauated from high school I wasn't ready to go to a four year college; I didn't know what I wanted to study or what kind of career I was looking for. Throughout my time at community college I was able to explore different opportunities affordably and I was able to attend school close to home. All of the professors, counselors, and coaches I had motivated me and supported me. In the two years I attended, I was able to participate in various clubs and sports which introduced me to many new people. Many of the connections that I made are still strong today. I graduated in May of 2010 with an Associates in Arts and have transferred to a four year university where I am studying to get a bachelors degree. Attending community college was one of the best decisions of my life and it has prepared me for studying at a univeristy as well as preparing me for the future in general.

200 words is not enough to write what I've gotten out of my college experience but I can definitely try and condense it into a short paragraph. I never really knew who I was before college, I felt lost in my own school, family and community and never knew where I fit in or what I was bound for. Since attending the University of Arizona, I have finally found myself and who am I supposed to be. I am more confident than before, I have short term goals for myself, as well as long term goals for my future life and career. The U of A has brought out the best in me with their exceptional combination of academics, academic support, clubs, group support, sports, and an active social community. I know who I am and the U of A has made me so excited to continue this wild journey called life, and they have brought out my true self throughout the past two years, and the next two are going to be amazing and I cannot wait.

I think what I have gotten out of attending college that is most influential to me has to do with finding who I am. I have had the opportunity to live away from home and mature and meet amazing people who are part of the reason I am who I am today. This has been extremely valuable because this University has had a large impact on my life. Everyone always talks about how wonderful their schools were, but no one is able to understand how infliential this University has been to me unless they are a fellow student or an alumni. Words and images cannot explain the experiences that are available to those on this campus and nothing beats the aspects of the University of Arizona.

I have been fortunate merely to be able to attend college as many people do not gain this opportunity. I have gotten so much out of this experience and I am so glad I came to the University of Arizona. I have met some of the most amazing people that I believe will remain life-long friends. I have been on the women's club volleyball team since my freshman year and have traveled to various cities competiting at a high level which has been a wonderful experience in itself. I was able to play in the National Championship match in Kansas City, MO my freshman year which was incredibly surreal. I have also gotten to learn from some of the best professors and look forward to the knowledge I will gain in the future.
It has been extremely valuable to attend this university because of all the wonderful things I have gained as well as becoming more mature as a woman. I am so glad I chose this school and would not trade it for anything.

Note much I just started. As far as why it is important to attended, it will define my future; provide me with necessary skills to attending my future goals.

So far I have learned an immense amount of knowledge since I have been at school. In my classes I have learned so much new material that really expands my horizons. I now feel like I use more creativity and truly go outside of the box. I have also learned very fast that I cannot procrastinate to make my work something that I am proud of. My professors really support me to strive for new goals and have brought me to achieve things I never knew I was capable of achieving.
Along with educational growth, I also have more common skills for living. I found out that I have to be more economical and not spend so much money! It is also very important to be social and outgoing to everyone, because you meet so many interesting people and friends that way. I have to be prompt and keep my room clean because life just goes much smoother that way. Overall, I feel I am much more independent and have grown so much as a person through college.

You just don't learn about what is inside textbooks and on the teacher's lesson plan. You learn how to be socially acceptable on your own, you learn to deal with finances in a way that you have never before. College has been an eye opener, and not only does it broaden the capacity of the mind, but it is the underlining force behind growing up. This is where you will meet life long friends, learn things you can't find in books, and appreciate everything that comes your way. College is more than just waking up and going to class, its the first step in becoming a successful individual in today's world.
