This school was over all a really good place to consider there are many people around every corner to help if you have any questions. They have a lot of food options and is overall a good college to walk around, they have a great supportive group for games!

My opinion of University of Indianapolis is that it is a great university. Some universities that I have visited are mostly boring and they don't have great professors. The campuses are really big where you can get lost pretty easily. Here at University of Indianapolis, there are great professors. They are sweet and they are always excited to teach students. I have made great relationships with my professors, especially for engineering. The campus is small which is great for me since I won't get lost. They are so many clubs activities and sport events to attend. They have great food and great dorms. There is one problem. The tuition cost of this university is expensive since it is a private school. Overall in my opinion, this university is great.

The university is really nice small diverse campus … it’s literally something for everyone … I would definitely recommend to any student who have a fear of a big campus or campus is not to big nor to small ! You should come check our university out

I love this school! This school has made it easy and are willing to help you with whatever you need. Everyone from admissions, to financial aid, to teachers are so friendly and will always guide you in the right direction. The safety here is amazing, the food is great. Also people are very friendly.

It is a great school where you can commute which means some students do not live on Campus and go to school from home. They have a small class size with many opportunities. The school was surrounded by many stores and pretty close to downtown so you can go anywhere easily on your weekends. The school also provides many extracurricular activities that you can involve in. The school has many connections with other schools for our career so you do not need to worry about internships or your career path.

Even though I'm a commuter student now, I still lived on campus for about a week or so, and it was a great time. Although I found on and off-campus living both comfortable, it doesn't mean others will too. However being on campus helps with being around the campus more, getting to know others, more opportunities, and engaging in activities. I didn't get to experience much of college life, because I live off-campus and I can't do almost an hour of a drive back and forth every day, and my classes were all online. Teachers are also very approachable, and the university has many resources to help students with anything they need.

I think it’s a great school with tons of majors that aren’t always available at other universities. The campus is beautiful and I really like the housing options. All housing build are pretty fresh and new which is nice. The professors are really willing to help their students be great in their classes.

The University of Indianapolis provides a great learning environment for people who enjoy small classes and the ability to connect with professors. Despite its proximity to downtown Indianapolis, the area around the university is sketchy, and there is not much to do. UIndy strives to provide a good academic climate for their students, and they have succeeded. Additionally, the university has been devoted to renovating its campus which has offered students more opportunities and made the campus a more welcoming place.

My overall opinion or University of Indianapolis is very high. I love the campus, faculty, and students. I have attended two other colleges before I decided to apply for University of Indianapolis but it was the best decision I have made. I did not feel like I felt at home at my other colleges and that is something I needed when it came to where I was going to be spending my time. I applied and hoped that I would get in but I was not very confident in myself when I should have been. Even since this COVID-19 has taken place, the staff and faculty have done nothing but be supportive and helpful when it comes to figuring out online assignments and tests. They have been available 24/7 and have replied back to all emails exceptionally quick. I love my school.

It is a great campus where everyone feels welcome. It also has tons of options for students to get involved in. They also take great pride in safety so they have options for students to have someone talk them to their dorm at night. Another this is they take pride in community so they want students to be involved as much as possible.

It is a small but very exciting campus. There are plenty of activities on campus as well as outside of it in the city of Indianapolis. There may be small problems, however they do not detract from the over all experience of the university. I would recommend this to other future students.

I have visited this campus twice and love everything about it. Everyone is so welcoming and make you feel welcomed. This college is my number one pick of all the colleges I have been accepted too. I was just there yesterday for a special nurses day visit.

The University of Indianapolis is overall a great school. Between the small class sizes and the extremely accessible professors, this school has been a great fit for me and my educational needs. I can speak particularly highly of the School of Nursing (SON). The UIndy SON is absolutely wonderful. Every professor I have had knows my name by the second day of class, and is open to writing letters of recommendation for me. The relationships I have built with my professors are unlike what they could be at a larger school. With only 35 people in my class, optimal learning occurs daily in classes. I cannot recommend the University of Indianapolis enough for those students who desire small class sizes and professor interactions.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
First, I would advise the parents to provide support to their children while making a choice on a college. Sometimes teenagers need a little push in the right direction. Help the teenagers set up college visits and go with them. Showing interest in their schooling and helping them fill out forms will make the process less stressful.
For all students, I recommend finding a college that best suits them. Try not to worry about how far away it is and how much their parents will miss them. Listen to others suggestions, but in the end make a decision based on what the student wants and needs to be successful and have fun. Begin early searching for the school best suited for the the student.
While in college, I recommend the parents to continue showing support and be ready for many break downs.
I suggest that all students do not procrastinate and balance their time between fun and school work. School work is important, but it is also very important to not be depressed by so much work that one forgets the importance of being in college.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
The small, beautiful, perfectly located campus at the University of Indianapolis is a very upbeat place where making friends is easy for everyone, and the class sizes make it easy to form a relationship with not only the other students, but with the professors as well; so basically, UIndy is a wonderful place, and I would rather be on this campus than anywhere else.
Hard working students with a good work ethic should attend the University of Indianapolis. Someone who likes small class sizes and great relationships with the Professors would enjoy going to this school. Anyone considering this school should also be very serious about their future and their goals. Not only is this school great for academics, but the location is great for people who want to be more culturally diverse.

The close proximity within downtown Indianapolis is nice. The school is fairly small so it tends to be easier to build relationships with your professors to develop internships or to just have a good standing with your professor. The business and nursing programs are quite active; there are many clubs related to those fields and many ways to get involved for prospective nursing and/or business students.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about my school is how difficult the general education courses are. I feel like I can't concentrate on my classes required for my major because the general education courses take up alot of credit hours and the school puts so much emphasis on these courses. Despite how small my school is, many of the professors are difficult to reach outside of class and do not look to make the learning experience more personable.
The best thing about my school is the fact that it is a smaller campus. A normal class has no more than 25 students, which is very helpful for students who need more help in certain subjects. The professors are all very good at what they do and are always very open to helping if a student needs help. The fact that the campus is small also helps in the social aspect, it is much easier to form closer friendships when you see certain people all of the time.
I believe that our school is mostly known for its diversity. The are alot of different cultures and religions at our school to get to know. The best part about it is everyone is friendly and we can still get along seeing that we come from different backround. There are never any problems coming to our school and it is not hard to make friends with anyone you meet.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I brag most about how small the classes are and how great all of my professors are. Everyone on campus is so helpful and I really care about the students, and the students care about each other. We are epitome of midwestern charm and hospitality.
I believe that the University of Indianapolis is a near perfect match for me. This university prepares its students for real world careers and opportunities while allowing students to explore the possibilities of a professional athletic future.
All athletics at the university are some of the very best in the nation for Division II with many teams ranking in the top 25 in their respective sports.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
