Kaitlyn

I wish I would have known more about the campus and what it offered. Also about summer classes that were available.

Not really sure

Before attending the University of Nevada Reno, I wish I would have known the importance of a syllabus. Syllabi are not something that are highlighted on very much in high school. As an education major, I plan to implement a syllabus in my classroom one day to give students the responsibility of college, and prepare them for what is in their future.

Stephanie

I wish I would have known that the Professors are all softies, that way I would not have stressed so much during my first week of College.

Kristi

I wish I had known more about the clubs, especially the ones that take a stand in social and political issues. I would have liked to have been a part of them but now that I've spent some time on campus, I'll know for future semesters.

Alicia

Before I came to the University of Nevada, Reno I wish I had known what it was like to attend such a large school. I attened a very small high school of about 250 students total. Attending a university for the first time was a huge change that I was not very prepared for. Going from knowing every student in my school by first and last name to knowing barely anyone was a scary, but very exciting experience. Although I would never trade in my small town high school days, UNR has shown me there is a lot out there.

Mark

I wish I had known that a car would have been very helpful. It gets very expensive shopping at walgreens and the student store.

Jill

I wish I had been aware of the valuing of academics by previous university administrations. Although my program was cut in the sweep of budget cuts in March, 2010, it has, luckily and wisely been reinstated. Of all the programs on this campus, this master's program is one of the more valuable to the community. I would have done additional research on the professorial staff in the program. the level of commitment is unsurpassed in professors like Dr. Christian Conte, and I would have started earlier as a graduate special.
