I love it however it is very expensive .
Mikenna - 11/13/2023
It is a very accepting and diverse environment. Students are encouraged and supported through every step of their education. There are many options for extracurriculars and making friends is so easy. There are many campus wide events that many students regularly attend. It is a fun and energetic campus.

Having attended many other universities, whether it was full time or just a few random classes, I feel very confident in my statement that Saint Francis is the worst University around here. The staff is very unavailable and do not prioritize their student's education. The atmosphere around campus feels very much like it is students VS faculty rather than students and faculty working together for the best educational opportunities.

If you are a disabled student -- blind, deaf, spectrum disorder, mobility, etc. -- the University of Saint Francis is not for you. It is extremely difficult to get reasonable disability accommodations -- extended time for tests or assignments, adaptive equipment, tutors, anything. The Office of Reasonable Accommodations is under the control of Academic Affairs, not Student Affairs. Your ableist instructor decides what reasonable disability accommodations you will receive.

The services offered is excellent and the Professors and other staff members are always helping in any manner needed no matter what the circumstances, problems or concerns you may have. Excellent curriculum in any subject. An excellent college to attend.

In the four year that I have been here I personally love the Univesity of Saint Francis. They are very passionate about out schooling and about the students. Many schools you may feel like a number, however, here at USF I feel like I myself and the faculty and staff know me by my name.
Sasha - 03/03/2020
I love it! The classes are small and the teachers care about their students. As a student who struggles with a learning disability, I find that the professors are always willing to explain things to me in a way that I can understand what each assignment is about and that's rare at a university.

Small college in big city. One on one attention with professors. They want the student to achieve, graduate and find employment. The spirit of the campus is up lifting. There are many different clubs to join. The food is good with a lot of options to choose from.

My overall opinion of Saint Francis is that it is a very beautiful college. Also that the classrooms are very nice and big. The campus also has very old features to it, which makes it different than any other college. Finally that they people there are very nice and welcoming to everyone.

I would like to first start out by saying my visit to the University of Saint Francis was Amazing! We got to meet with the cross country and track coach who were very good at explaining what they are looking for in an athlete and what they expect that athlete to do. We liked how they really push the academic and not just the sport. When we went into the welcome center we were able to meet with the financial aid adviser and the admission advisor they took the time to answer all of are questions. Our tour guided did a great job on showing us all that UFS has to offer. She talked about how the class sizes are small for more one on one with the professor. The university had historic buildings and photographs that informed you of how the campus got its start and what it looked like. I found that to be very interesting. Not only was there history but also the updated medical and science labs that would give any college a run for its money. I really liked how the dorms were within walking distance to the classes. They had a great dining hall were all the students would meet to eat with a variety of food choices. We were able to meet back up with the coach and even got to meet some of the cross country and track athletes who were eating lunch. I would defiantly recommend students to visit your University.

A wonderful place to learn. Thought there are times that the offices frustrate me, the students and faculty are all brilliant and open to exploring different point of view, promoting a safe educational environment that produces many free thinkers and future productive members of society.

I absolutely love the University of Saint Francis. During my senior year of high school, I took some dual credit courses at the university and fell in love with the school. Saint Francis was the only school I applied to because I was very pleased with the class size and the teacher to student ratio. I commute to school so I can't rate the dorm situation, but the school part is great. The sporting events, like the football and basketball games, are fun to attend and give students something to do on evenings and weekends. I am so glad that I picked the University of Saint Francis and would not change schools.

I’ve always dreamed of attending the University of Saint Francis to study both Elementary Education and Theology. By visiting, I’ve gotten a chance to meet professors, students, volunteers, and get a taste of the overall campus community. Not only is the campus gorgeous and welcoming, but the people are unbelievably friendly and amazing characters.

I am in love with my school. I was very unsure of Saint Francis at first, because I was shy and I did not get out much. However, everyone was super friendly and everyone talks to everyone. You will be walking to classes, lunch, or just to the bathroom and someone will talk to you. My roommate became my best friend and she caused me to come out of my shell and I have so many friends because of it. After my freshman year of college, I made dean's list twice, became president of social work club, went to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip with the school, made amazing friends, and so much more. I could not have found a better school to call my home.
Riley - 02/25/2019
I really enjoy my school. The only thing is that they have really high standards making life very hard to want to continue at times. The nursing program has a lot of pressure on students causing a great amount of students to drop the program or sadly fail out because the grade average is the highest in the stage.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for University of Saint Francis-Fort Wayne is 96%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
During college I was able to experience being a collegiate athlete at a major division one university while being a student. My experiences taught me that time management, perserverance, dedication to a common and individual goals, and growing into your own skin are what made me the person I am. I became a Kansas Jayhawk and will forever remember the day I was able to walk down our gorgeous campinile hill alongside my closest friends and said "I did it!" As I venture out into the work force, I am able to share that Jayhawk mentality with other KU alumni across the country and can say that my college degree has set me above others based upon my determination to succeed. My undergraduate degree has encouraged me to follow my dreams of becoming a dentist, and I plan to pursue those dreams based upon the ground work that was laid while I attend the Univerity of Kansas. My college degree showed me that confidence is attained through hard work and dedication and I can hardly wait to become a dentist! and say "I did it...again!"
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
Private Catholic based university with a small and pretty campust that upholds the five Franciscan values and focuses on the liberal arts, creative arts, and the health sciences.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing I would say is location. It seems close and yet too far from places to be easily accessible. I commute and it's twenty minutres/twenty miles away from my house.
The types of people who would most enjoy the University of Saint Francis are ones who are willing to embrace a liberal arts education, those who are respective of other's faiths and willing to explore their own, those who have higher goals than partying on the weekends. They should be people who have an appriciation for the fine arts or are commited to serving others. They should be people whp are more dedicated to making a difference in the world than in making money or making a name for themselves.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
The type of person who should not attend this school would be someone who does not want to put the effort into achieving their degree. Studying, homework, and tests are the bulk of where your grades come from and are highly important at USF.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
The one thing that sets this school apart from others that I looked at is the availability of the major I wanted to acheive and the high percentage passage rate of the state exam in the physician assistance program. This school also offers renewable scholarships from attending science symposiums and taking a course while a high school student.
We are best known for our nursing program. Following that is our education program which offers dual degree licensure. This means that all our education majors are able to apply for teaching licenses in whatever field of study they please as well as special education. Following that is our growing studio art department.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
It is a small campus, so it doesn't take me long to get to my classes. Core classes are in one main building, so there is no moving from building to building every day.
