I love that it is small and cozy. It’s a Christian school, so I can feel free to discuss religion. The softball coach is very involved and that drew me to Wesleyan. The students are friendly and helpful. Only problem is the dorms are small without bathrooms in the rooms.

My opinion of Wesleyan College is that we are treated like a big family. They thrive to make everyone feel included. They love their students like they are their own. Its a small but clean environment, and I'm pretty sure everyone knows each other so it isn't hard to ask for help. We love to have study dates in the library when its time for exams which I love.

Wesleyan College has its perks and quirks. I believe that the amount of opportunities that have been given to me wouldn't have been there at any other university. I enjoy going to class and attending all of the clubs and events on campus. The campus is very community-based and goal-oriented. Wesleyan takes pride in providing students with the things they need to be successful and to keep their voices heard.

I really love going to school here. The campus is a little rough because it's a historical college, but I love the community and learning environment. We are also making some improvements now that we have a new president, so I'm grateful to get to see us grow some more before I graduate.

Going to Wesleyan College at the start of spring of 2022 I found it calming how there are not that many students there at the school and the teacher-to-student ratio brings more hands-on learning compared to a bigger school.
It is not so more of a bigger campus or even the city you are in as much entertainment, parties, or frats you may look for in other colleges this is more of a small town it may feel like to most people or what one of my professors may say, " Whenever I go outside, it always feels like a ghost town. No one is ever out!!" so this school may not be for everyone and I would not recommend it for those looking for more of the college experience for most of those who attend here will transfer for that same reason.

I'm currently a Sophomore at Wesleyan and honestly, you have to make the most of your experience with this school. At first glance you may not notice however, the dorms and campus are obviously outdated and need a thorough cleaning. With that being said the campus is still beautiful with all of the surrounding nature. The education is wonderful and the teachers care about you succeeding. When I first graduated high-school I couldn't even write a paragraph properly, but now I can write essays with no issue thanks to Wesleyan's mandatory class for incoming students that helps to prepare them for higher-level writing. Now when it comes to partying and having fun you just have to find the right people. There are plenty of students that love to get together and play games or go out to parties. Wesleyan is a place that is a very open and accepting environment so you should have no issue finding good friends that become family.

Wesleyan is a great school. Very small and everyone knows everyone. There’s not a ton to do on campus, but when there is they have too much going on. The dining hall could be better, but it’s okay. Most of the professors are great. We have an awesome equestrian team.

Wesleyan is an all girls school & it’s a beautiful campus! The dorms could use a little renovation though & some other building on campus but I kind of dig the vintage vibe it has. My favorite part of campus is the library, it has a modern twist to it & it’s open 24 hours. You’ll find a Kroger & chic-fil-a up the street & a couple of other stores so that’s a plus.. but tuition is not as affordable as they make it seem so apply for as much scholarships as you can.. also the admissions team is very helpful & nice. Overall the campus is nice & it seems like a great place to be for a young women who wants to be empowered & be surrounded by great minds

I recently applied to Wesleyan College and was accepted for the upcoming fall semester. Within the first few minutes of my first campus tour I knew Wesleyan would be a good fit for me. The most appealing aspect was the small class size- with very small student population class size is usually no larger than 20 people. This allows the students to interact with each other and to get to know the professor. I believe the smaller class size alone makes for a better learning environment. The small campus makes it easy to get around, yet there are still plenty of resources for students. The college is also very good about communicating with students- even before one is officially enrolled. Emails are sent out constantly so everyone knows what is going on. If you have a question or concern you can call or email and will get a response very quickly.

Its a good school but we need less papers. Its a small amount of students in the classrooms. The teachers are most likely always available. I have had problems with roommates in the dorms but overall its a great school. The most important thing i love about the school is the sister hood

Wesleyan College is an all women’s private college. They are not well known, but go out to different college fairs to try and persuade students to attend. Now that they have given me a scholarship, I have seen everything. If I had to pay out of my pocket, I would not be at Wesleyan College. I would go to a school with better dorm rooms (there is cracks in the floor and the dorms are just old in general). I would go to a school where the students are not more intellectual than the professors. I would go to a school where there is no isolation. Wesleyan could merge with Mercer on a lot of events, but they choose not to reach out. Overall, I am only going there for the scholarship, and it will stay that way.

Wesleyan is a diverse campus that encourages women to be confident and independent. The professors make the college, as well as the rest of the welcoming staff. The school is mostly concerned with academics, although they do have a variety of sports. As I have been on the Equestrian Team, I have learned and grown with my teammates. Sisterhood is one of the cornerstones here, and is one of my favorite things about Wesleyan. It is difficult, but it has been a great choice for a college.

Wesleyan College is a liberal arts private college in the rather small city of Macon, GA. The city itself has disappointed some prospective students who are fond of bustling cities with night life. Macon does have a night though, but for those who don't know how to find it, it's practically nonexistent.
The college itself has a beautiful campus with cherry blossoms that bloom in the spring, and historical architecture that hints at its long history. The college was chartered in 1836, to give degrees to women and it still does. Wesleyan is a beautiful college, with amazing people and amazing classes.
The professors are amazing and you will never get a professor that does not care about your academic success. They are easy to access and do not mind drop-ins, or short discussions after class.
The class sizes are comfortably small, but there are some classes that will go up to around thirty students. I've also been in a class with over two other students. I really love that about Wesleyan. At the same time, the size of the college is a bit overwhelming. You can be sure that you will run into several people you know on the way to class.
Wesleyan has its downs, and they vary depending on the student. One down for me is that the college caters more to traditional, on-campus students. Being a commuter and staying abreast on issues is challenging.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Wesleyan College is 37%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
The most important thing I would tell myself is that college is not a party. The mistakes you make in thinking it is so, costs you later on in your career when you want to get serious. It is better to come into college with the mindset that you are there to work and not to party. College is a serious place and people just don't seem to grasp that concept. Another thing I would tell myself is that having a social life is an option not a necessity. Being popular does not determine what job you may get or how great your grades are. I have experienced the problem that popularity causes, which is a drop in grades. So, overall I would tell myself not to be a social butterfly and to maintain a level head about studying and going to classes.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I knew more about the activites and social life of the city of Macon, and academic and career opportunities presented by Wesleyan facluty and staff.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The lack of faculty diversity is the worst thing about my school because students from diverse backgrounds cannot often relate to those that are not like them.
Wesleyan is a place that only someone who is truly open-minded can be happy. The atmosphere is extremely happy-go-lucky so this isn;t the best place for a negative person. Also, the college is very small and offers a tight-knit community, so if your prone to being a social outcast and/or pariah, you will not feel very accepted.
What is the stereotype of students at your school?
I visited the school with my daughter. They were extremely welcoming. We love the traditions and the sisterhood there. We feel our daughter would get the academic attention she needs there. The buildings are a little worn though. It is on our short list.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
Those who are not willkng to embrace sisterhood and become the best at what they are would not be happy at Wesleyan. If the person is not willing to work hard and discover the benefits of attending a liberal arts school, they should not attend Wesleyan.

93% of students attending Wesleyan College receive some sort of financial aid.
