What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
You have made it through high school and are transitioning to college, to become a teacher, as you had dreamed. Westminster College is a wonderful school, but don't doubt yourself because you can take on the difficult classes and semester workloads. Never stop with the bare minimum, because real success is achieved when no one is looking and when the work isn't measured or necessary. Moving out of your town, your home and your comfort zone is going to test your mental and emotional capacities, but don't stop trying your hardest. You'll make friends of a lifetime, memories to share and for your grandkids to hear, but you're also gaining an education some would only wish for. This institution is giving you the tools to build a career as a teacher so you can mold the future minds of the world. Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
A small libral arts college with the amish near but with many different things to do such as greek life, sports, and extracurricuar activities.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing would have to be the location. I love that it is in the middle of no where when it comes to needing quiet for studying and so on. But at the same time the location leads to a lot of partying for many students because late at night; especially on the weekends, there is little to do and a lot of the student body goes hom.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I like to talk about the close-knit community at my school. We have a bustling social atmosphere here with a lot of clubs, groups and fraternities/sororities students can be involved in. There is usually a lot going on here and there many oppurtunities to gather and socialize while attending events like football or basketball games, charity events and off-campus trips.

What kind of person should not attend this school?
The type of person wo should not attend Wetminster College is someone who is looking for a big school in a big city. The college is located in a scenic part of Pennsylvania and there is not a lot of activities that are going on besides for those that are sponsored by the campus itself. Also, if you do not want to have a close relationship with teachers and would rather teach yourself Westminster College is not for you. Lastly, if you would rather not get involved in on cmapus activities this is not the place for you.

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
Start the process early. Westminster is extremely competitive and there are students on a wait list. Take time to fill out the application to the best of your ability and write your essay early so you have time to proofread it several times and make adjustments. If you're accepted, make sure you read your inquiry book the summer before you come to school; you'll get much more out of your inquiry class if you're well preparred. Also, be invloved in high school. Westminster values students that are civically engaged and give back to their community.

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
Westminster College provides opportunities to explore areas of study not typically available to students of a particular major. As a student at Westminster, I was able to venture to areas outside of my Elementary Education major to learn about history, art, and science. Westminster's liberal arts studies is different from that of other colleges' because curriculums are integrated with each other. The faculties of Westminster support and encourage students to expand our learning opportunities and discover how we can incorporate them into our desired future career path.

Describe a typical weekend.
For someone not involved in Greek Life, the weekend can be quite slow. Usually for me, I use Saturday mornings to sleep in, as well as spend time with my friends. Saturday evenings are spent getting ready to attend frat houses, and going out with my group of people. We usually stay out until the parties close, and then my friends and I go back to the dorms to make mac & cheese. Sunday mornings all of my friends and I eat brunch at Duff, where they have amazing omelettes. Then, we spend Sunday afternoons/evenings going to the grocery store and studying.
