What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Elizabeth, I am now 31 years old, and looking back on it, I have some advice I would like you to consider. I understand the pressures of graduating highschool and going on to college, but don't do it for mom, dad, or anyone else. You need to do it for yourself. It is okay if it takes you longer than your friends to find your path. Trust in yourself, that in the future you will pick a career that makes you proud of who you are. Enjoy being young, it only happens once. Try not to stress about money. Do yourself a favor and do not go to school if you are not ready, because you have racked up an enormous amount of student loan debt, but with that debt, you have become more well rounded and an educated woman, which can only help you on your future path to becoming a nurse. You are a great woman! Beleive in yourself and allow yourself to make mistakes and learn from them. You will figure it out, trust me!! I am proud of the woman you are today, and the woman you will become!

What's unique about your campus?
In my opinion, the best thing about D'Youville College is the small class sizes. The ability to ask questions frequently, along with the personal interaction with the professors makes D'Youville an ideal learning environment for those who are in college to be taught and guided, not to teach themselves as is the case with larger universities. The professors are very approachable and willing to help students on an academic as well as personal level. The individual attention and professional advice/guidance are unique to a school with small classes; you are more than just a number.

What kind of person should attend this school?
The kind of person that should attend this school is a hard-worker that is very motivated and will not give up easily when challenged. Also the person should want smaller class sizes and a more personal professor and student relationship. A large campus with lots of parties is not the atmosphere at D'Youville but that does not mean that it is all work and no play. There are plenty of opportunities and events for students and faculties, especially to learn and volunteer in the community.

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
I am originally a transfer student from the University at Buffalo, and I left there because the classes were so large and very unpersonal. I chose to transfer to D'Youville because it is a smaller, private school so I knew I would be treated as a person and not just a number. The classes here are small and the professors are wonderful. They know you by name and are always available for help. I also like the close proximity of the campus. Even though the campus takes up about 2 city blocks, most of the buildings are connected.

What kind of person should not attend this school?
As far as I am concerned the person who has financial struggle and limited income shouldn’t attend Dyouville college. When I first came to this college I was told that I would have many opportunity in getting different scholar ship but I found out that I have to pay for everything out of my packet to survive in this college, so I had to take several private loan for my school. Money is the key in this college.
