My college experience has given me a fresh perspective on society and the problems in the world we live in. As a social work major, I have had my eyes opened to the many inconsistencies within the government, and its unwillingness to help those that are suffering the most.

The best part of my college experience was that it was not like most colleges are portrayed in the cinema. In movies, they always show students partying on campus, binge drinking, and all kinds of other social chaos, but that was not the kind of experience I was looking for. I was able to go to a college that was similar to my High School; small classrooms that allow a personal relationship with the professor. My experience has been valuable because I know when I apply towards a job within my chosen career, I will have many options available to me because I was able to receive the help I needed to maintain my double major of Criminology and Psychology. While I know I am going to be a wife and mother before I start my career, I am confident about my academic experiences and know that my schooling will not be wasted once I start my career. I know that I have learned the material necessary to prepare me for whatever job I choose, and all of my choices will benefit my family and myself. When I finish this 2010-2011 academic year, I will be prepared to succeed.

As attending colleg i have become more independent. In High School we have teachers there helping us they are there everyday. In college I learned that one is responsible for all the assignements and for all the work. I am currently taking online classes and what i do is up to me the teacher only posts the assignments and we have to do it if we want if we don't do it hten well we can be pretty sure to fail the test. In college not all homework is required to do, but well is good to do it becasue it helps to know what your doign when it comes to a test. While taking online classes one can become a procrastenator, but we really have to think if what we are paying for is just going to be trowned to the trash, that's if we fail the classes. So we really have to be on top of everything without having anyone after us. I think that i can say that college has made me become independent and responsible of my actions.

I initially went to college on a basketball scholarship, however I got hurt and my coach didn't like that I stuck to my faith and to who I am. I then came back home and I am now attending a community college near my hometown. I have gained a lot from the experience I had by going off to play basketball and seeing how tough it is to stay strong in your faith and not do what the majority of the other college students are doing. That experience really taught me who I am and that sports isn't everything in life. I now no longer play basketball and I am now an active member of the honors society Phi Theta Kappa. My entire college experience has made me realize what is important in life, to wisely chose my friends, and to always be true to who I am.

I got the educational experince and use the skills learned to volunteer and help others. After attending the college i learned that those who succeed have better life than the others just because of the education. Education is the key to new life and better future. The greatest benefit was the completion of a long term goals, and I realized that because of college that there are a lot of things I can accomplish if I want to.

I have learned so many things from my collage experience which normally no one can learned without collage. Attending a collage is not essay but its also not impossible. Collage could helps us in choosing our careers, through collage we can find out our interest in career areas its not just that but it also help us in making our personalities better than what we are know. Little mistakes or decision can change the whole perspective of the person. In starting it might seems that collage is hard, boring and tough but as soon as you get get involed in the collage learnings, you may feel like it worth it and its true this learninga and hard working would hepls us in our future and make the person futrure nice and ambitious. It also help us in improve our skills such as public speaking through presentations, writing through assigenment and person's presentation through project; which might we can't learn at home or online studies. The last thing that seems to me is very help is meeting with other people, collage is the best place to get the ideas and share the ideas with each other.

Entering college was a tough transition that I experienced because it was in fact different from high school. I knew I had to get myself together and start taking my career and future seriously. I am currently in my second year of college, and I can honestly say that I have matured in so many areas, but mostly in resposibility and punctuality. I have learned to not miss class and to be on time, because each lecture helps you learn, and the earlier you go to class, the more time you get to prepare yourself and go over your notes before lecture. In college I have also experienced to be bold, and to not be afraid of asking for help. I have learned that it's important to make the right kind of friends, people who will help you out in classes. It has taught me to appreciate each lecture, and to get the most of it. It has been valuable to attend college because I've gained knoweldge, experience dealing with people, but most of all, because it made me realize how crucial it is to study for a better future.

I have recieved multiple experiences from Aurora University. For starters, the entire atmosphere of the school is amazing. I attended a community college previous to AU and everytime you walked out the door there were students smoking, talking about how they dislike their class/teacher, and already planning thier weekend of no work and drinking. It is exact opposite here, you walk out and there are two strangers that have a class together asking eachother questions about an assignment or students eating lunch on a bench or in the grass between classes. I have recieved the college experience of being on my own, learning new concepts and ideas, and having the support of staff and peers whom I had just met last year. I have established friendships that will last longer than "a buddy in class to drink with" and have been able to expand my career opportunities. Aurora is valuable with providing opportunities, activities, and discoveries along the way to help in develop each individuals future.

The RN-BSN Program at Aurora University has been a challenging and rewarding journey. It has allowed me to appreciate the Evidence-Based Practice as nurses have become accustomed to, to practice safe and qualitative medicine. It has shown me that nursing is constantly changing and that nurses need to participate in the enviroment around them. Nurses need to become mentors to the future RN's and guide them in critical thinking, safe and responsible practice. It has also shown me when things need to change, research based evidence will help change the practice, enviroment or standard work flow. It has encouraged my children to want to participate in advanced education to make their future a better place to be. The RN- BSN program was a stepping stone to my future goal, which is to become a clinical educator and bedside nurse. It has taught me leadership skills to affectively teach others. Learning is a never ending journey and we should all embrace the adventure for as long as we possibly can.
