I did mostly online classes via running start when I was in high school. I did, however, do many in person classes through bellevue college's fantastic jazz band program. I loved the jazz program but the school would have some annoyances, for example, the water fountains don't work.

I love Bellevue College. This school is great for all types of students. I am a Brazilian national and English is my second language, yet I have never felt discriminated against or felt that the teachers intentionally discriminated against me. Teachers are extremely approachable and easy to work with. Online classes are relatively easy to navigate and teachers are always willing to answer questions. Advisors are always there for support and are easy to approach. Bellevue College even made an effort to connect me with a translator to ensure I clearly understood my advisor. Advisors are very knowledgeable about programs going on in other schools in Washington State, which has been helpful for me since I want to transfer to UW. The only adversity I have experienced was with the financial aid department. I have had difficulty accessing my financial aid. This isn't entirely Bellevue College's fault, but they haven't been able to answer simple questions about the status of my applications.

First and foremost, I am thrilled to join in Bellevue College. It located in Bellevue, Washington. I just moved to this state a few months after finishing Dental Assistant Program in Oregon. When I get stuck with transfer credit forms from my previous school, I am immediately contact to coaches in the school. They are so devoted and friendly to help me a lot. These buildings of school are quite big and nice. I like especially flexible classes schedule because students can pick everning late time to go to school. My parents hope I can study at Bellevue College, whereas they don't have any associate degrees even high school diplomas. Overall, I pick this school to complete my prerequisites before jumping into Dental Hygiene Program.

Love this college!!---
Very good design program and amazing internship after all the trouble I went at another small school.
Initially I started at Art Institute of Seattle but they accepted me without asking for any essay or portfolio which was already unusual. Then advisors started disappearing from the office until school announced that closing permanently in the middle of the quarter. I was terrified to lose my F1 Visa status. Last person left in International Office told me to leave the country within 14 days if I can't get enroll in another college. I couldn't believe it was happening for real in the US. But Bellevue College saved me. They accepted me in a few days and transferred all my immigration records within grace period. I was able to get an amazing internship this summer and company just offered me a permanent job. Forever grateful to my advisors and great professors!

Bellevue College has been a great ride! I recommend this school to anyone who doesn\'t want to just waste their time and money. Very nice and helpful advisors in international office made my whole college experience amazing!! To come to BC has been one of the best decisions I have made in my education career thus far. I just landed a great OPT internship that I couldn\'t even dream about a few years ago!

I think the professors are very good and understanding. I like the way they accommodate and include all students so anyone can receive higher education. The school is set up for students to succeed and learn with many resources. I am glad that I have spent the past three years going there.

It's okay. I'm great full for it. I am running start student at Mount Si High school but, I take my classes at Bellevue College. I'm hoping to graduate from Mount Si and have a associates degree from Bellevue College. I'm really just there to get my education but I wish it was easier to make friends there. I also wish I didn't have such a long commute to the college.

Great school! Accessible price, many associates and bachelors degrees, multi-cultural, teachers really care, small class sizes, parking is bad however. The school is expanding and doing a good job, but will likely need another campus soon. The running start program for high school students in awesome but should be advertised more.

I'm enrolled as a running start student at Bellevue College and I've enjoyed my time here so far. School spirit isn't very big but as a community college I wasn't expecting much, I feel pretty supported by staff and faculty. Parking from 9-1 is a bit of a disaster, but I get here for morning classes and I'm fine. A good way to get an associates!
Cara - 10/27/2019
Overall, a great variety of students and professors. I have learned more here in my short time than I did at any point in high school! The student resources and programs truly care about their students,
Tips:
Public transportation is awesome in this area! A short walk to a large hub for buses.
There's a plethora of vending machines, but not any real cafeteria. The closest thing is the pizza cafe in student housing, or the coffee cafes that serve snack foods and pastries.
There is a fitness center on campus, but you have to register to take credits in a PE course in order to use the facilities.
Off-campus housing is very expensive, but that's because of the area the college is in. On-campus is reasonable for the area.

Bellevue College is an encouraging environment with a focus on diverse people groups and inclusivity. Several of the teachers I've had have been passionate about the subjects they teach, and have sought to thoroughly engage with both the students in the classroom, and the course material itself. The only teachers I've found to be unsatisfactory were the ones who did not provide adequate feedback (as feedback and guidance from instructors means a lot to me), or who opted out of assigning more challenging material to fit the overall class dynamic. I have enjoyed many interesting conversations with my peers regarding both class material, and matters which were not relevant to the specific class, but were still quite fascinating. Bellevue college is a place where you might walk into an empty classroom, see someone sitting inside, and have a debate regarding norse mythology and it's modern day application (or something of the like.) I'm enjoying my time there, and believe that it will prepare me to take on more challenging work in the future.

Bellevue College is a welcoming college to all types of students. No matter the race, religion, age, or gender, staff and faculty at Bellevue College are very welcoming. The class sizes are perfect for learning environments enabling student's to communicate and reach out for help when needed. The campus is very clean, nice, and open. There are some buildings that are very new and modern and Bellevue College is still continuing to improve their buildings with the new construction going on.

It has a great program for education, but it is not a big college so there are less opportunities to meet people and be social. The quality of education is fabulous with very supportive teachers that want to help you succeed. It's a great school to go to if you want to complete your AA or transfer to a larger university.
Ella - 04/23/2019
I really like that the professor are all interested to help you and you feel important to the school community. The setting of the school is gorgeous and it has a great curriculum and choice of degree. Overall it has a great environment and I would definitely recommend this college to anyone.

Bellevue College is a diverse school with many opportunities to get a higher level education. I am currently working on my transfer associate’s degree for the UW. The college has amazing professors, and a great class size that allows students and teachers to get to know one another and build a solid foundation. There are also many opportunities outside of the class to meet with professors. As well, there are counseling services, clubs, and other activities to help round out your educational career. All in all, Bellevue College is a great and generally affordable place to receive a degree, or work toward entering a four year college.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Bellevue College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
As my high school supports a program by which you can spend your last two years of high school completing your first two years of college there isn't much I could say to my high school self. I'm attending Bellevue College because it was the college I had to go to in order to avoid taking my final two years of high school and then my first two years. However, I suppose I would tell myself to focus more, demand more of my professors, and not let senioritis get the better of me. Senioritis is terrible.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
The one thing I wish I would have known before going to Bellevue College is how much help I would get along the way. The staff, programs, clubs, advisors, e-mails, and handouts given continually have made it much easier to assimilate through my college education. I have had help and assistance with each step I take, making it much easier to focus on the on the academic aspects of school.
The best thing that I consider about my school is the staff and administration. They place the students at the center of everything they do. I can honestly say that every single class I have taken there, they support and honor the student's efforts and innovation. For example, they aniticpate the changing demands of the economy and are working on creating new programs that offer bachelors degrees for they believe that it is their responsibility to the students and to embrace the belief that widespread access to excellent education is the cornerstone of a democratic society.
International students, persons with multicultural interests, or people in which English is their second language. The college has wonderful ESL support and great programs for international students. The location has a very diverse population and the weather is mild.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
I hate the automated systems I encounter whenever I call offices on campus. It usually takes 10-12 steps and extensions until I can leave a message for my advisor and often the system just hangs up on me before I get there. I try to email but ususally my questions are not answered nearly as fast as if I could just ask a department's receptionist something.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about my school is there are a lot of stairs and few elevators. It does not help that the steps on many of the stairs are short and the stair cases steeply rise. Why this is the worst thing to me is because have a phobia of stairs.
