I love the rattle noise the students make when they are celebrating their school and the culture. A snake is such a ugly creature that scares me usually, but when I see the spirit of the F&M community ,I just want to be a snake too, rattling around and making that hissing noise. I love the energy of the campus and the rich history as well as the strong academic programs. I just want to rattle all the way to Florida with my green and orange and experience the celebration and safety of African American culture and promise.

I think FAMU is a beautiful campus with extremely welcoming students. I went for a college trip and fell in love with the HBCU culture on campus. The resources available for students was also amazing to see and it seems like a great environment and place to flourish. They even had a hair store and salon on campus which I felt was a way to create a community and cater to black necessities. The tour guides along with the passing students made it feel like Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University was a great place to attend.

Have you ever needed dental work that you were unable to obtain due to financial and accessibility barriers? Hello, my name is Aniya Faith Williams, and my passion is to open my own dental practice with affordable and even complimentary services so that no one will go untreated because of their financial situation. I will start my collegiate career in Fall 2025 at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, also known as FAMU, where I will major in Biology/Chemistry on a Pre-Dental track to set myself up to be competitive in the application for Dental School. I will also continue shadowing other inspiring Orthodontists and engaging in community efforts hosted by my mentors so that I can be an asset in giving back to my community even before I graduate Dental School. After graduating from Florida A&M University, I will attend Dental School for four years, and residency for three years. I have had an interest in becoming an orthodontist since I was diagnosed with an underbite when in 4th grade. I’ve always dreamed of accomplishing my collegiate and career goals by attending Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University because of the pride, rich culture, and homage to my forefathers and foremothers before me that paved the way. By attending and graduating from thee Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University I will get to live out my lifelong collegiate dreams while also leaving a positive footprint and paying it forward for scholars that will come after me.

I am in awe at the amount of diversity imI see at FAMU and it was the main thing that attracted me to this school specifically. People of different backgrounds are able to join together in a neutral setting and enjoy each other’s company. That is truly a blessing to watch.

I want to attend FAMU because it has a really good pharmacy school that would get me a job as a pharmacist as soon as I graduate. The culture and the academic opportunities stand out to me the most. I like that the school is an HBCU and that it is in my home state.

I am eager to attend Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) because of its exceptional reputation for academic excellence and its commitment to fostering leadership and community. As an aspiring nurse, I am particularly drawn to FAMU’s pre-nursing program, which provides a comprehensive foundation in essential courses such as anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and nutrition. These courses are vital in preparing students for the demanding and rewarding field of nursing. FAMU’s strong emphasis on hands-on learning through clinical experience also excites me, as it will provide me with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. Moreover, FAMU’s supportive and diverse environment aligns with my values, offering a network of faculty and peers who are dedicated to student success. The university’s focus on developing not only academic skills but also character and leadership abilities makes it an ideal place for me to grow both personally and professionally. I am confident that attending FAMU will provide me with the tools and experiences needed to excel in nursing and make a meaningful impact in healthcare.

FAMU offers amazing opportunities and networking that truly help students grow. The campus facilities, including dining and housing, are decent but sometimes struggle with organization during unexpected situations. There’s slight favoritism in clubs, but it encourages involvement. It’s a great school to break out of your shell, but if you're extremely shy, it might be overwhelming.

I love Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. While I am not yet a student on campus, I have recently visited the school. In early November, I attended the Homecoming football game. There was so much culture and spirit at the game! Seeing so many alumni come back and represent their school was amazing. However, this is different from what inspired me to want to attend Florida Agricultural and Mechanical; it was my campus tour. On my tour, I had the amazing opportunity to witness students on Forum Day at FAMU's School of Business and Industry. Students around campus were dressed professionally and engaged in intellectual conversations. Most importantly, I loved hearing students talk about the networking opportunities provided for them. This was when I knew Floridia Agricultural and Mechanical was the school for me.

Florida A&M University (FAMU) stands out as a stellar institution offering a rich collegiate experience. With its intimate class sizes, FAMU fosters a tight-knit community atmosphere while still providing ample opportunities for growth and exploration. The balance struck here is commendable; students benefit from personalized attention while also enjoying the benefits of a diverse and dynamic campus environment. On-campus life at FAMU is vibrant and engaging, with a plethora of activities and events to participate in. Whether it's academic seminars, cultural showcases, or student-led initiatives, there's always something happening to keep students engaged and connected. However, for those seeking off-campus adventures, creativity is key, as the surrounding area may require some exploration to find fulfilling activities. Greek life and the party scene are undeniably prominent aspects of FAMU culture, contributing to the lively social atmosphere. Yet, amidst the festivities, the university maintains a strong academic focus, with dedicated professors who are genuinely invested in their students' success. Their support and encouragement create an environment conducive to academic excellence, where students are empowered to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Overall, Florida A&M University offers a well-rounded collegiate experience, balancing social engagement with academic rigor. Its close-knit community, diverse campus life, and supportive faculty make it a standout institution for those seeking a holistic education and a vibrant collegiate experience.

It has its issues, as every school does or anywhere you go, but all in all the good outweigh the bad and theirs so much love and energy on this campus. You just have to find the things to appreciate and know that the negative aspects are only bumps in the road and trials to make you stronger and you will get through them.

I love my school and everything it stands for. The culture, the community and the unit of people of color is really important to me and my campus is rich with different cultures. There is a little something for everyone and I love how even though you might be the most l person you can still find your cliques and friends. I have never not felt safe on campus. I honestly think it’s like one big family. I am proud to be a rattler! Strike, strike and strike again!

FAMU lives up to the expectations. There are plenty of facilities and faculty members to help students succeed. The environment is welcoming and it is inspiring to see people who look like me doing things others deemed "impossible". This school provides students with ample opportunities, resources, and representations of excellence. Nothing at this school comes with a charge, with is refreshing to the mind of broke college students. If I could recommend one school to a prospective student, I would recommend Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
