Iowa State University is known for its excellent opportunities in science and engineering. Research plays a large role in Ames, IA. Our university is also home to the Ames National Laboratory as well USDA laboratories. We make fantastic strives in the science of agriculture and our ability to create mindful and knowledgeable farmers and agronomists. We boast a competitive and rigorous engineering program that fosters many industry leaders. We are also known for our great history. From the invention of the first computer to the Manhattan project and being home to a Nobel Laureate in chemistry.

Get invloved as soon as people. The sooner you get involved, the more you will enjoy Iowa State and the better chance you will have at succeeding here. Find a good group of people who have similar goals and morals as you. Work hard and study effectively, but remember to have fun along the way because it goes by fast. And most importantly, be yourself!

I think my school is best known for engineering and animal science majors and having a beautiful campus.

Iowa State University is where the first computer was build. It is known for its science, engineering, and technical programs. It also has an outstanding human sciences college and is popular for its Veternary school. Iowa State was also nominated for best upset at this year's Espy's for our football win over Oklahoma State.

It's best known for their engineering program/career fair and I like to say their marching band.

I would say ISU is best known for being friendly and inviting. I felt at home when I got there. People are generally friendly and willing to help you.
