I would tell myself that the first two years are the most crucuial. To start off and get on the right track early will give you the chance to finish early and be ahead of the curve. waiting to see where everyone else is will be no benefit to your success. Focus and grab lif by the horn.

Advice i would give myself would be to put more resaerch in the major that i was interested in. I say this because the major i chose was not really something that i was interested in and ended up having to change it.

If I could go back to my high schol senior year, I would just change my academic performance. If I would have performed better in high school, than the studious asset of college would not be as difficult. I see college as a priviledge and not a "given". This just makes me strike for further excellence rather than settling for less as I did in my past High School years.

Diana, you won't believe the way time flies. You'll be graduating soon and hearing about some of your classmates receiving scholarships to this college and that university and think, "Well, I could have done that." and "That could/should/would have been me had I applied myself like everyone said." Well today, I'm saying yes, it can still be you collecting scholarships left and right, yes you can make it through school, and yes, you do have the potential to succeed. In fact, you are PREGNANT with potential!!! But none of this will matter or do any good if you don't have the focus and zeal you need to push you ahead. I know you want to just rush and get your education over with, but learn to exercise patience , take your time (but not too much) to really absorb the knowledge and information given and learn ways to apply your learning as much as possible to your life. Learn not just for qualifications but for the desire to learn more. Most importantly, don't be envious of anyone else's progress, celebrate with them, but stick to your own path and reach your ultimate potential.

I would tell myself to make sure I study hard and dream big. If I dream it I can achieve it. I would also tell myself not to give up and make sure I use all resources available to me such as teachers and other classmates.

If I were able to go back to my high school years as a senior, I would tell myself that I need not procrastinate about doing my work, I need to take more time out of my day and study, and I need to be more social with friends and professors. I would also remind myself this is free college you have to pay for and its not a joke.

Get you finance situated! Dont waste time and apply o schools early. Its ok for you to meet new people and interac with them. Be your self and stay positive.
Reonna
The advide i would give myself would be to apply for scholarships early and grants. College grants and scholarships get kind of limited once you get into the school year so do alot of the things before hand. I would tell myself to get ready to study and work hard to acheieve your goal rather than trying to be cool and slide through!

Work harder to get better study skills so you can be prepared for the vigorious college life of an honors student.

The advice I would give myself is that I would make sure I would do all my housing and finacial aid immediately because woth my school it is first come, first serve basis and it shouldn't be that way so to avoid problems.
I would definitely get my priorities in line and study harder to get my g.p.a up to qualify for scholarships, grants, and loans.
Alexis
Have a pretty good idea of what you plan to study than go from there

make sure that the school that they're wants to go to is worth the money. and not too expensive, and if it is expensive make sure the student has scholarships or at least keep their grades above 2.0

If you are trying to find the right school for your child or for yourself, the first thing you should do is findout what you or your child is looking for. Findout what type of school is best fit for you or yourchild. try also finding a in state becuse the loans and grants that the states give to students are very helpful in the long run. the reason that they are helpful in the long run is because when you are done school you will not have so much debt to pay on private student laons. so to recap, the main thing you want to know about a school is if it's right for you and if it is in state so that i am eligible for the state grants and loans.

The best advice I could give anyone looking for an institute of higher learning is as simple as one word, partnership. In order to find the right university you need to first ask 3 simple questions about the partnership of the school your leaning towards. 1) Does this school partner with my pocket. Because times are hard and the almighty dollar is becoming all the more scarce and you need to be certain that the school you pick is partnering with you financially so that you can enjoy college without having to overly worry about uncle sam and sallie mae. 2) Will this school partner with me in education. Because it's one thing to find a school that you can have a good time at, but will this school help further my education and help me get closer to obtaining my undergraduate degree. And last but certainly not least 3) Will this school partner with my parent(s) because what parent wants to send there child just anywhere? Every parent needs to in fact be insured that the school there child is going to is one that will help meet goal 1 and 2 in there childs life.

Do not be afraid to go for what you want and to open up and meet people.Networking is key to getting what you want out of your college experiance.

Do your homework by researching the location, quality of education, majors that the college excel in, how far away from home is acceptable. Also look into the quality of the dorms as well if living on campus. Make sure that one is able to get the best out of one's experience there, good luck!

I think students should find a college that matches both thier major and thier extarcurricular interests. An important part of your education are the memories you make during that time. I feel you also retain more of what you are taught if you have some fun memories added to what you learn. As much as an education costs today, being in an environment that you enjoy and that is positive to a student's learning process is imperative to becoming successful in life and making your educational investment worth while.

When you are looking at school try to do a much research as possible about the school you like and visit at less you type 3 schools.....

Make sure you know the courses that you need to take in order to claim your dream career. Select the relevant major and make sure you do research on how successful these programs are at those respective school. Also, parents and students should research scholarships from the internet, high school guidance counselor, and even newspapers. There are more scholarship opportunities available than you would originally think.

I would tell students to really research colleges so that you can find the one that?s best for you. You don't want to end up at a college that doesn't fit you. It's absolutely ok to go to school with your friends, just as long as that school offers the career that you plan to pursue. Having fun in college is apart of the experience. Parents let your child pick the school that he or she wants to attend. Only intervene if they ask you too. This will help with the maturing process as well. Also parents, college is definitely the BROKE years, so don't be afraid to send some money down!
