Do not expect anything out of anyone. One goes to college to get an education, not to make new friends. Even though you may not have many friends now does not mean you will make them just yet. Do your homework as soon as it is assigned, try not to prostinate. It's easier to homework when it is first assigned than to put it off. Only go to parties when all of your homework is done and you can spare the money. It may or may not be worth it.
Speak up for yourself. If you do not like something, say it. If someone trys to put you down, keep your head up and do not listen. Remember this quote: “Be Who You Are and Say What You Feel Because Those Who Mind Don't Matter and Those Who Matter Don't Mind.” Stay true to yourself! Strive for the best! You are very intelligent.

I would tell myself to be more focused. I would tell myself to study more during the summer. So I would be more preparde.

I understand that high school was fun and you cannot think about anything past this point. Let me be the first one to tell you that this is just the start for you. I want to tell you that everyday counts towards you being sucessful. You may only think about local competition for jobs, but you must consider that there is global competition. If you want to become a great engineering, you will have to not only to dive into the theory but strive in the practice and application of this theory. There will be brand new things from the people around you to the place where you may call home . You should not fear this change but rather accept and cherish it. Start your own path and continue on it until you reach your goal of graduation. There will be many things that take you off your path, but you must remain yourself and focused.

Grades come first! You can enjoy you're college experience and still have great grades, don't let anyone tell you different. The transition from high school to college will not be easy but as long as you remain true to who you are, you will be fine. I know you may be nervous, and want to fit in but don't forget what your parents taught you at home and how you were raised. People will love you regardless. Get involed in college! Networking is everything. Go to college with an open mind and mind. Try everything at least once, if you never try you will never know what you like and what you don't. These next four years will be the time of your life! You will begin to finally grow into yourself, and it is truly a beautiful experience.

If I knew what I know now as a senior in high school, i would have participated more in clubs, and would have been into more student activities.

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior, I would tell myself to plan ahead for each semester as far as money is concerned. Sometimes financical aid do not cover everything and that it's hard trying to get the remanding money that you need. About two years ago I had to miss a semester because I didn't have any money for school. So I worked and saved money for the following semester, so I can go back to school.

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior, the advice that I would give myself is surround yourself with non toxic people. Your environment should always be positive and uplifting. Also, when you are blessed with an opportunity, take advantage of it. Have an open mindset, be willing to educate yourself on different cultures, ideas and concepts. Attending a college or university opens a variety of doors and having a college experience is one that you would not want to miss out. Colleges help you grow. Be wise and have fun.

Stay on track, dont let anything or anyone get you off track of what you want to do. You can forget about going out with your friends and having a job while your in school because those are distractions. Your main focus should be maintaining as high grade point average as possible and getting ready for college. Make sure your checking into colleges that you like and have ample time to visit because you don't want to choose a college you really don't want to go to but you just chose because it looks good on their website. Even though it may be your last year in school and you think your pretty much finished, nothing is finished until you walk across the stage. Until then, you should be working to your full potential. There is never anytime for slacking. Remember that colleges look at your final transcript and because you've been accepted to that specific college doesn't mean that they can't revoke your acceptance. Take everythingas serious as possible and talk to current college students to see what advice they have for you and your transition from high school to college.

If I could talk to my former high school senior self, I would tell myself to slow down and enjoy the ride. I have had a rollercoaster of a time since I graduated high school. I enlisted in the Air Force, met some amazing people, fallen in love, fallen out of love, gave birth to my son, and started college. All of these have shown me how to manage my time and prioritize. I would also tell myself to take time to have a life outside of school.

Do not get "senioritis"! Stay focused even though you've applied to your schools and have gotten responces back. If you take that lazy break senior year it's that much harder to adjust to college classes in the fall.
