If I could go back in time, then I would give myself advice to stay in high school the extra year. I graduate a year early, so going to college was a big step. I would advise myself to take advance placement courses my senior year of high school. By taking advance placement courses, I would have acquired college credits and have somewhat of a better grasp of college life. I would also advise my high school self to take time and figure out a career choice before going to college. When I entered college, I didn’t know the career path I wanted. By not knowing a career path, I spent almost two years deciding on a career. Now that I have decided, I am going full speed to finish up my two-year degree in pharmacy. In the end, I would not only advise my high school self to not graduate early, but I would also advise to decide a career path before the entrance of college.

College isnt something one should take lightly. It is a chance to get a higher education and obtain a degree in any field that you choose. Your high school grades will follow you for the rest of your life. Take high school seriously. Think deeply about what you want to major in when you get to college because you dont want to get there and take forever to graduate because you are unsure about what exctly you want to do with you life. Theres nothing wrong with being unsure but try to narrow it down to three choices. Choose your college based on majors, location , class size and resources. Do not choose a college just because you friends are going there. People change when they get to college because it is a different environment. Take you educationn seriously, it will affect your life forever. Stay in school, be focused, work hard and believe in yourself.

I chose to attend a pre-college summer program but failed the program. I failed the program because I lost sight of my main focus, became distracted by being in a new place, and trying to make new friends. Failing made me realize that I was not as prepared for college as I thought. When College began, my sole objective was passing all my courses. The nervousness of starting a new school left and everything that would cause me distractions was out of my system. The pre-college program also made me realize that in order to achieve what I want; I must set goals and work hard to attain them. By the end of the semester, I achieved a 3.0 GPA. What a great beginning! The value of attending college is very important. It is a chance for me to step out into the world with a college education and advance myself. It also teaches me independence, improvement in communication skills and networking. What I am gaining from attending college will advance my career options and future goals. Overall, college is where I start developing as a successful individual.

The most valuable experience I've gotten out of my college experience is belief in myself. When I recieved a letter stating that I was eligible for the honors program I believed that receiving my degree is acheivable and no matter how hard the struggle is I can overcome. After taking a long break and then returning to college I felt as though I put myself in a horrible situation. However with a tremendous amount of studying I recieved my Associates Degree from a community college, and then recieving a small scholarship to attend a four year institution I really can see my dream coming true. Now I truely believe it's never too late to persue a degree as long as you put the dedication and and stick in there through the tough times success is attainable.

College is a challenging period where only the dedicated students will reach every college students dream day, Commencement Day. I consider it to be a training period for me to learn how to be successful in field that I have decided to study, Civil Engineering. I would have to say that I have had the opportunity to excel academically, work towards succeeding professionally, all while positively impacting my school and home community. My experiences so far has made me realize that I want to further my education all the way to receiving a doctorial degree. My campus involvement has helped me gain that leadership and teamwork capabilities needed to work in corporate America. I have had the chance to go to conferences where I have been given numerous networking opportunities. Interacting with professional engineers and future engineers who share my aspirations is one of my favorite benefits to college. I love working in the community exposing pre-college student to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). I consider myself to be a well rounded student who has strived to maintain effective time management skills. I always reflect and realize that college was the best decision I could ever make!

Knowledge! Every college I have attended has given me knowledge to live and work with. I would not trade my college experience even for the loan money I owe. I will never have regrets on continuiing school, and I will continue until I am satisfied with my degree and status with my career. Having the knowledge to work in a skilled position and be satsified with my choices is an accomplishment that I will achieve.

As a recent college graduate with a degree in Communications, I made the important decision to return to school to pursue my dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. Without my B.A., I would not be able to attend a one-year, accelerated BSN program for second-degree-seeking students. The knowledge that I have acquired during my undergraduate studies has paved the way for me to earn my BSN at the school of my dreams. Going to college is a luxury that not everyone can afford, and I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to earn not one, but two degrees in fields that I am truly passionate about. Education is the greatest investment a person can make, and I am thankful that I was able to make that investment. I am so excited to begin my career as a nurse!

Education is valuable to life period. I have gotten a great experience so far from college and I have also learned that my recent habits aren't the best. I realize that for next semester I must manage my time more wisely, and put 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} effort into everything I do including campus activities to get the most of college. I haven't done that this semester but that does not mean I can't turn it around. It is early and Im still a freshman. I know there is more that I will have to learn and experience in college, but the key is time management, and using your resources to the full extent that they are available to survive college.

So far during my college experience. I have learned how to become much more independent and well rounded. I have had to employ most of the skills that I gained growing up. I have learned how to handle situations under pressure as well as to be much more considerate to others. Opportunities that exist for students in the United States are more readily available, and I have learned some ways that I can take advantage of them. This scholarship is a prime example of one of the oppurtunities. College is valuable to attend because it is a rites of passage between coming out of high school and being totally independent. It allows you to learn how to handle life's situations on your own for future references.
